  1. Update time. I have been working on my new bucket that I got from Arakyel. Overall, I am very happy with this bucket, but the padding, while very nice, needs some reworking. Just too think to get proper eye alignment. So, I have been working on it, removing pieces, trying different combinations to get the right fit. I have also started in on getting the fans from my old bucket wired into it. I am currently waiting for the chin fan to dry and then it will be to find a place in the rear for the next one. Love this bucket, but it is tougher working with a smaller non-bobble head bucket . Oh, you might notice some poke holes in the foam, my cat decided she wanted to play in my bucket. The other think I have done is trim down the lense visor. The one included comes down to far so I pulled it out and trimmed it so it doesn't take up so much room. More updates to come now that I am working on my armor again.
  2. I do what Jim suggested as well. It keeps them nice and centered. Yours look tighter than mine and I can't get my hands through without separating one side so gap wise I think you are okay
  3. Agree Agree Agree. Sand it back down and then just take your time. I have the tendency to rush as well and I have ended up with the same results, so don't feel bad. Let us know once you try this out.
  4. Ah, that brings back memories, especially seeing that FX face plate. I used the included helmet liner in mine as well. I now use padding instead, but it worked for quite a while.
  5. That is terrible. I am trying to think what else you could use it for. Maybe make it a vase...
  6. Depends on your detachment too. Mine took over a month. Just stay patient and they will get you taken care of.
  7. Looking really good. This is just personal preference, but with the black scheme for the bucket, I like the black aerator look instead of silver (yours look a little white).
  8. One thing I did on mine is filled in a lot of the screw holes with putty or something of the sort before painting. Really helps with the look overall.
  9. Amazing as always. I really need to find some time to follow that tutorial of yours, but with TOR....
  10. Dave sells a bunch of stuff. I have purchased from him repeatedly. Has a website too.
  11. Very nice man! There is nothing like that feeling of opening an armor box. Can't wait to see the progress pics
  12. Good tip, I always dry mine by hand and I probably shouldn't.
  13. You make a very good point about the isolated space. Gotta make it easier to get an even coat
  14. Want to see how your painting comes out. I have never gotten it to work well, though I have seen others do it, especially Vaders. I don't think I have the patients.
  15. Are you still trying to match the MG-34 or some kind of hybrid?
  16. Well your sig bar is awfully white, so I think adding a little black would be appropriate. If you want, I would be happy to house it in my garage for you
  17. I just ordered some from there as well. I am not sure how strong they are. I really want to try these, see how much I can take advantage of the curvature.
  18. I've looked but never found they were powerful enough. There are some online that are really really strong. You do pay for it though.
  19. Not sure where you live, but with the temp dropping in the states, its easier to find boots in your local shop or at the mall. Might cost you more, but you could get a quality pair. Just make sure they are high enough on the ankle and don't have adornment. Check the CRL for specific requirements. I got my current trooping boots at Rack Room Shoes.
  20. Magnets are awesome to use in costuming. Reminds me I need to order some...
