  1. The progress is looking awesome. I wish I could do something like that, but I just don't have the patience.
  2. Thanks for the Radio Shack unit comparison. That is the unit I use and I can attest, it does offer a decent amount of feedback. From the size comparison, it does look like you could successfully mount it behind the chest piece as well(where I currently have mine).
  3. Everything looks good...but, no clicking? How can you be a trooper without clicking? It goes with the territory
  4. Looking good in that test fitting. You can see the common issue of the bottom of the thigh pieces leaving a gap on the inside of the knee (logically, because it rest along the outside of your thighs). What I did to resolve this and make a little cleaner look from the front was put some foam on the inside of the thigh pieces close to wear it hits the inside of the knee. This will keep it out and make those pieces look more centered.
  5. That is darn right beaultiful...and as an added bonus, something about it looks very lego-eque which I think is just awesome
  6. Izzi, what specific item did you use from Tandy. I need to make another officer belt so I might as well make this upgrade at the same time.
  7. Look good man. Nice job so far. Definitely post the approval pics so we can all critique, though I would expect, with how things look so far, you shouldnt have any issues.
  8. Well, the changes to make it fit you right could be considered a requirement for 501st entry in that if it fits very poorly it will likely be requested for you to make adjustments.
  9. Interesting setup. I might try that first with solid pieces then break them up if needed.
  10. Some pics from my bucket: There is fan down near the helmet liner nob. A very low profile one that keeps air moving in the bucket and on the back of my head. This is another angle showing the runners from the battery pack to the fan near the helmet liner nob and the fan in the front This shows the fan I have near the front for my mouth. Both fans working in conjunction do quite a bit.
  11. I will try and get a pic up of mine including the fine layout. I currently use a helmet liner but will be removing the liner to got the foam route very soon. ghosty, you actually attached the foam with double sided tape and it holds? I'm surprised.
  12. Hand plate looks good man. The color in that pic looks spot on
  13. things look pretty darn awesome, but that gray is off a bit (everyone already pointed that out). The only other thing I noticed, not sure how to rectify it, is the black shows through a bit on the elastic portion of the boots.
  14. Nice job. All the pieces are looking good. BH, if you will do that, I will fly kits to you, lol
  15. There is also good info on painting at the Sith Lord Forum. Just an FYI. Between the two, you should be able to find what you need. Another option is taking it to an auto body shop. They can do paint jobs for ya. You'll pay for it, but its often worth it for the evenness.
  16. Looks good, much better that the plastic ones I made by boil bending some scrap plastic
  17. Looking just awesome and its great this is what your wife wanted. I am glad to see you going all out and doing it right trooper! There are so many crap mandos out there, its great to see this is going to be stellar.
