  1. Personally I prefer the ammo pack color. Would the belt work with that is the question?
  2. @Blackwatch before moving on flightsuit...please also move balaclava into required beneath the helmet section. If we need to add a line clarifying it has to be worn when the helmet is on, that's fine. I don't like it the optional as worded...several apps where people use bucket w/out it and the back of their head is showing.
  3. Ok @Blackwatch here are some (I think final) edits to the helmet descrip... 1) Helmet is a specific 3D model to Inferno Squad from Battlefront II. The Rogue One TIE Pilot helmet is allowed for basic approval... Original Trilogy TIE Pilot helmets are not permitted. Trying to abbreviate the opening sentence...yet differentiate the 3 types of helmets...what is accurate, what is allowed, what is not. Does this work you think? 2) Level 1 logo range... Should we keep 2.75 as allowable? So a range like 2.15" - 2.75" for Level 1? Then specify Level 2 as a much smaller range...2.15" - 2.25" Can use verbiage of "approx." and "scaled to wearer"
  4. To make sure I understand...the belt is only piece that is different from the rest of the armor (bucket included)? Then we have fabric belt...and boots if u could give us a pic of those alongside all the stuff as well to see how off we are talking. Currently none of it is painted right?
  5. @Blackwatch can you direct me to which post you are editing from please? I would like to review what we have for the helmet before we move forward. Additionally, I would like the Balaclava moved to required when the helmet is worn. Currently, as it is listed as optional, I have had to field a few GML questions regarding applicants who submit with bucket on but no balaclava.
  6. Correct. It will be moved to the optional section entirely.
  7. I agree with both points by @gmrhodes13 and @nanotek (which helps none at all lol)...Level 1 is “the look” by and large achieved. Level 2 is it accurate to the reference. Is it a detail that derails the look of a Sith Trooper? Its a question with a subjective answer that ultimately we as a community need to decide upon. That said, I highly agree with Mark that accommodating vendors cant be a driving factor.
  8. If you are banking on my wisdom and power you are in trouble my friend lol. In seriousness though, I would follow up with your GML after this weekend. This time of year (November-December) is historically the worst time to get anything accomplished. People typically take breaks to do the holidays. Shoot...even my intention was to not post anything while I was on vacation...though I failed at that miserably and kept up on most threads lol...in a hotel now responding here haha Hang in there and do a followup on Monday.
  9. Thanks @JoeShoe For Imgur...if you copy the bbcode in here it will display the image right in here. Heading out...but will take a look later. Thanks again!
  10. Just saw a FB post by a Jeff Woodward offering SE-14 3d print (files or printed). Might be worth a look
  11. No timeline. We just started reviewing it and with holidays not even much at all. Look it over...Im not sure there are many (if any) adjustments to Level 1 that would effect your approval...nor anything at Level 2 from the proposal if you did that would affect your approval. Give it a full look to confirm
  12. @nanotek Im open to ideas. My opinion is just one...a visible gap where one is not present seems like something to address. We could make it a Level 2 requirement BUT this would seem to be something a bit more significant. @gmrhodes13 I may be having pic loading issues... but do you have a pic of the back fully suited?
  13. Thanks. We can examine screencaps once people snag em. Anything CRL related would need to be discussed here (FB group while helpful to many isnt an officially monitored 501st spot). That is to say it would be fantastic to get any builder’s feedback and participation here. Would love it!
  14. Awesome @areilly!!! Thanks! Are you ok with the range for Level 1...Level 2 2.15” or 2.25” @MahXPrime? We can still keep the added wording about scaling for some wiggle room
  15. Accounts have photo upload limits to save on forum storage (I dont know the technical wording for that lol). You will need to use a 3rd party site such as Imgur. Havent seen the episode yet...but once the episodes are analyzed we can decide to add configuration options to the current CRL in an update or if a new CRL will be required. To my understanding @nanotek (Mark) stated somewhere that these were the same Rogue One costumes being reused. My memory could be wrong though.
  16. Ok good. Thanks! So following up with my thoughts then... @Blackwatch can make the adjusts... 1) Lets keep the the range for Level 1 decals and be specific 2.15” with the added “scaled” verbiage for Level 2. 2) And this also relates to point 4...Ok so the helmets are not identical. Thanks for that reference. My suggestion...add some verbiage that states the Battlefront helmet is most accurate but allow the R1 helmet as an option. We could narrow it down just for Level 2 but I hesitate with that because is anyone actually making a correct BF2 style? I would hate to limit it so that no one would be able to achieve Level 2. That said I would also hate to remove the knowledge that it is actually a different helmet from the CRL. Blackwatch can draft up some solution. 3) So we just need to add that line about weathering back. Extra point...can we add a line emphasizing that OT helmets are not acceptable? It is still a problem we see when GMLs ask for feedback.
  17. I think that's where I'm at with it. Keep it at Level 2 as is. Now…I do have some questions regarding the helmet proposals. Keep in mind, I am cross-referencing with the JRS Iden CRL to see where we would potentially deviate from that CRL (I'd like that to be as minimal as possible…but of course changing what is necessary to change based on the reference images): 1) Logo size…we have a range now listed at Level 1 (JRS has no size listed at all for Level 1). Would we like the size to be very specific for Level 2 at the smaller 2.15"? 2) When you state "modeled after the 3D model specific to Battlefront II"…my question here…is that any different than a Rogue One pilot helmet? I always thought they were one and the same. If they are the same, would having a real life screen comparison be more useful to builders? 3) Removed the silver weathering at Level 2. Is that related to the machined hose connectors or not at all? 4) Regarding the helmet…getting scale for Level 2 could prove difficult for some as not everyone (most people) do not have access to 3D printing and most helmet makers won't provide custom scaled 3D printed helmets. Need some more thought on this.
  18. same as a standard tk neck seal if used. with the jumpsuit collar it is hardly visible
  19. @areilly I understand what you are saying. To play devils advocate, if the references with mesh are EA produced should they be taken into account? Would in-game models be the only reference used? I understand game graphics have advanced...images are far more detailed...but are they “perfect” in the sense that all details are captured and rendered to the slightest detail? Things to ponder...Im not fully comfortable tossing out the EA produced images when (though vastly improved) video games have traditionally not always been spot on with details. Let me know what you think and thanks for chiming in!
  20. Yes, regarding the gloss aspect, your GML seemed to think polish would be enough (Im not certain that would work) so I would imagine the gloss achieved by Halycon would be even better in his eyes. You should be good so long as the rest of the build is correct.
  21. @Halycon Your GML said up the gloss and you did exactly that from my perspective. It looks good! Let us know when you get approved! I love the binocs too. While we can't add it to the CRL officially you can always check with your GML if it is ok to troop with them at non-LFL sanctioned events. It's a great accessory. Regarding Specialist...I pm'd you, but just go create a thread and start the process. Take up close pictures of each Specialist detail to show it's been met. We try to make it a painless process. Great work and perserverance man! And for taking the leap and showing @ImperialLoyalty342 it can be done and is within reach!
  22. T-21 added and description edited to say that the sling must be black.
