  1. Looking at the primary references (the official comic/card art...not action figure paint applications), I would like to propose that the interior of the mic tips for Level 2 must be white OR black...leaving only the silver option eliminated at Level 2. I am unsure if we need to specify colors for the vocoder for Level 2.
  2. Doing a run through review of this...with pics nearly complete...want to make sure our text aligns to references one final time.
  3. Ok so to move this along... Removing ripstop nylon Nomex verbiage. Canvas (of some sort) will be the only accepted material? Level 2 patch will need to be vinyl w a fabric backing. Still allow embroidered and pvc at level 1? Lastly, compad/pocket orientation. Maybe reword that part a bit, but in essence compad needs to be fully visible correct @MahXPrime? Is this Level 1 or 2?
  4. So what ur saying is you are close to a spot in life where I can finally “hire” you??? Lololol. And yea you are absolutely right. It needs updating And yes you are also right...the forums the forums the forums. Thank you for reiterating that. Anything we can do to make this place a better resource (as it is the place that directly affects what is Legion approved and not) I am for 100%.
  5. Thanks @areilly So the first 2 things I'd like to nail down... 1) Flightsuit fabric/weave. Spec Ops current CRL states "NOMEX ripstop nylon or similar" for Level 1 (no Level 2). JRS states "NOMEX ripstop nylon or similar or Oxford weave canvas" for Level 1 (Level 2 Oxford weave canvas only). It does appear we have a canvas-type material (not ripstop) for the flightsuit. I'm not a professional on fabrics...is this an Oxford weave? What we need to settle on is what will be allowed going forward for Level 1 and what we would like to relegate to Level 2. 2) Patch. Both detachments state "embroidered or PVC vinyl. It does not appear to fully be either. What I see is a textile patch (like a backing) but there is no embroidery on it. The logo itself appears to be a vinyl (marine vinyl) type of material. The patch itself is borderless. (no embroidered edge). Is this type of patch available in any way in the "real world?" Again...what will be allowed at Level 1 and what would be the Level 2 standard?
  6. Just make sure the material is correct. “Vinyl, leather, or leather like material.”
  7. That almost looks to be the same material as the flightsuit no?
  8. I love it @Fivezero! Great to see u on it!
  9. Understandable but as you state comping to CGI clones is quite a bit different from actual costumes. Take ANH TKs...canvas. Thats it. even for Level 1 because thats what it is. That said...Im with @nanotek if there are comparable materials that dont lose look then we can accommodate at base level...but for Level 2 i would expect it to be strictly the one material.
  10. Personally I prefer the ammo pack color. Would the belt work with that is the question?
  11. @Blackwatch before moving on flightsuit...please also move balaclava into required beneath the helmet section. If we need to add a line clarifying it has to be worn when the helmet is on, that's fine. I don't like it the optional as worded...several apps where people use bucket w/out it and the back of their head is showing.
  12. Ok @Blackwatch here are some (I think final) edits to the helmet descrip... 1) Helmet is a specific 3D model to Inferno Squad from Battlefront II. The Rogue One TIE Pilot helmet is allowed for basic approval... Original Trilogy TIE Pilot helmets are not permitted. Trying to abbreviate the opening sentence...yet differentiate the 3 types of helmets...what is accurate, what is allowed, what is not. Does this work you think? 2) Level 1 logo range... Should we keep 2.75 as allowable? So a range like 2.15" - 2.75" for Level 1? Then specify Level 2 as a much smaller range...2.15" - 2.25" Can use verbiage of "approx." and "scaled to wearer"
  13. To make sure I understand...the belt is only piece that is different from the rest of the armor (bucket included)? Then we have fabric belt...and boots if u could give us a pic of those alongside all the stuff as well to see how off we are talking. Currently none of it is painted right?
  14. @Blackwatch can you direct me to which post you are editing from please? I would like to review what we have for the helmet before we move forward. Additionally, I would like the Balaclava moved to required when the helmet is worn. Currently, as it is listed as optional, I have had to field a few GML questions regarding applicants who submit with bucket on but no balaclava.
  15. Correct. It will be moved to the optional section entirely.
  16. I agree with both points by @gmrhodes13 and @nanotek (which helps none at all lol)...Level 1 is “the look” by and large achieved. Level 2 is it accurate to the reference. Is it a detail that derails the look of a Sith Trooper? Its a question with a subjective answer that ultimately we as a community need to decide upon. That said, I highly agree with Mark that accommodating vendors cant be a driving factor.
  17. If you are banking on my wisdom and power you are in trouble my friend lol. In seriousness though, I would follow up with your GML after this weekend. This time of year (November-December) is historically the worst time to get anything accomplished. People typically take breaks to do the holidays. Shoot...even my intention was to not post anything while I was on vacation...though I failed at that miserably and kept up on most threads lol...in a hotel now responding here haha Hang in there and do a followup on Monday.
  18. Thanks @JoeShoe For Imgur...if you copy the bbcode in here it will display the image right in here. Heading out...but will take a look later. Thanks again!
  19. Just saw a FB post by a Jeff Woodward offering SE-14 3d print (files or printed). Might be worth a look
  20. No timeline. We just started reviewing it and with holidays not even much at all. Look it over...Im not sure there are many (if any) adjustments to Level 1 that would effect your approval...nor anything at Level 2 from the proposal if you did that would affect your approval. Give it a full look to confirm
  21. @nanotek Im open to ideas. My opinion is just one...a visible gap where one is not present seems like something to address. We could make it a Level 2 requirement BUT this would seem to be something a bit more significant. @gmrhodes13 I may be having pic loading issues... but do you have a pic of the back fully suited?
  22. Thanks. We can examine screencaps once people snag em. Anything CRL related would need to be discussed here (FB group while helpful to many isnt an officially monitored 501st spot). That is to say it would be fantastic to get any builder’s feedback and participation here. Would love it!
  23. Awesome @areilly!!! Thanks! Are you ok with the range for Level 1...Level 2 2.15” or 2.25” @MahXPrime? We can still keep the added wording about scaling for some wiggle room
  24. Accounts have photo upload limits to save on forum storage (I dont know the technical wording for that lol). You will need to use a 3rd party site such as Imgur. Havent seen the episode yet...but once the episodes are analyzed we can decide to add configuration options to the current CRL in an update or if a new CRL will be required. To my understanding @nanotek (Mark) stated somewhere that these were the same Rogue One costumes being reused. My memory could be wrong though.
