Excellent work!

I double checked a side-by-side. Chest Armor• Chest armor overlaps abdominal armor. <--added period at the end. Abdomen Armor OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): • There should be no gap between the ab and kidney plate, a single visible seam line is ideal. Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor shall be no more than 1/2” (12.5mm). Any shims used to achieve this effect shall have a similar material and color as with the abdomen and kidney armor. Shims should Made the 1/2" reference the normal size and not auto-corrected to the fraction sub-size. For the belt we put that we would allow buttons in the center and two ends for basic. L2 would have no buttons. Belt OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): • The corners of the black plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that meets the outer edge of the canvas belt. • The top of the ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels. • Drop boxes must be attached using black elastic and must have full inner drop boxes to close the back. Flat covers are not allowed. • Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box • No buttons are present on the belt We may also have to revisit renaming the pauldron on the shadow stormtrooper to just "pauldron" and not "black pauldron" as that is redundant. @Raider I'm in agreement that the traps and tears should be solid black. In the video games they are solid black and no line details.

I like the standard Imperial issued loafers.

First Order Jet Trooper CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to IcyTrooper's topic in First Order Jet Trooper
I did all of your yellow corrects. Made the text about the wordy part purple so we can check back on it. I also added the following for basic: The brow of the helmet comes out creating a gap from the lenses. On the front of each cheek piece there is a rounded section just underneath the front edge that runs into the center of the helmet/neck. The bottom of the helmet has a slight inward slope towards the neck of the wearer. I also added the following for L2 for the brow (we can revisit it later): The gap between the brow and the lenses has the proper details. -

Thank you for taking a look at the helmet! I felt like next to the backpack and chest, this was one of the hardest items to get described textually. Less wordy is definitely what we want and I felt it hard with the level of detail on these new costumes. The yellow stuff that you put in there I agree with! I'll look at that first orange text and see if I can clean it up. On the second orange text you are definitely right and I missed one! I can make the changes to my post with the changes you have presented later. I'll address the 3 points you raised below: I thought about that because it reminds me of clone helmets with the neck ring. However, I do believe that it is an integral part of the costume and don't think it would inhibit someone with a larger head from getting the helmet on if it is present so I will add a line about that. That gap from lens to the brow definitely needs to be present and I can add that. The details within the inner parts of it would I think be more suited for L2 as you have suggested and I'll consult the Sith Trooper helmet on it. I'll have to check out the reference pics for that. Are you talking about the part where the three lines are as they wrap around? -
Glad to see you are making some positive out of the negative!

The foam inserts are just for aesthetics more or less, I think to make the arm holes look a little smaller. I'm not sure what the purpose would be in the movie universe unless as sort of a dust shield or to give the appearance of an underplate.

First Order Jet Trooper CRL Discussion
IcyTrooper replied to IcyTrooper's topic in First Order Jet Trooper
My plan, after review with the team of course, is to hopefully use the same CRL with color adaptations for the Sith Jet Trooper as well as you said. I haven't been able to take a look more into the red guys from what I can remember from the movie. I can't wait til the release on Blu-Ray comes out so that I can get another look at them because I can't remember much. Thanks for the kudos! We still have a ways to go with it since we also have to have an applicant to be a CRL model. Since you are going to do a Sith Jet Trooper I may port this over now after I talk to @Raider and make that the sole development and then copy whatever is finalized on the Sith to the FO one. -

First draft for this CRL finally completed. -
Very nice work on it thus far!

I was wondering when this was going to pop up after seeing it this morning haha. Should be a little bit better once the update actually drops and we can zoom into all the features for CRL stuff. Probably going to have a separate costume with this update from what I see.

Great! I will check it out. I'm still working on CRL and will call for updates amongst everyone. We are going to do the FO Jet Trooper first and then port the text over or vice versa. -
I mean realistically you could also make the under pieces only just overlap into the chest plate and such so that they are less weight and don't take up too much space on the inside of the armor. Similar to the yokes you see in the FOTK's. On the Imperial Combat Assault Tank Drivers we have foam inserts that go around the chest and back pieces. I do agree that the chest section looks huge but I totally think that we can break it down for printing and/or ABS pulls. Definitely going to need help suiting up like the clones

That is not good at all, I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. I hope that they find it in good condition and return it to you.

Haha going for the first of the costume and CRL model has the "giving you more work to do" in the job description. Keep pushing!

TX-18177: Coryboom. RS Prop Master Shadow Scout. (Approved)
IcyTrooper replied to CoryBoom's topic in Shadow Scout
Congrats on the approval! -
That looks so smooth!

Hello! For the shadow stormtrooper you're going to want a ANH style helmet. There are details on the R1 that aren't allowed on the shadow stormtrooper CRL, such as recessed tube stripes, etc.
-
Almost there!
-
Yeah that has been happening on my end too. One work around I've seen is to click "Quote" and they'll show up if you aren't looking to go to the external site.

Very nice on the modeling! I'm thinking that with the "bulbs" that they probably can be extended down with a piece of black or painted black ABS or the like where they can be attached to. The black will blend in with the undersuit and allow them to effectively "float".

This is so awesome to see!
