  1. Okay folks! This is what I used to plan mine. Then I did thing differently cause of time and money. Just remember, the pack were made from scrap so you can come up with some interesting things to use and still make it look good even if it's not 100% movie accurate. -iz
  2. Looks good. I'd shape the bottom of the thighs a a bit so they aren't so oval and more round. The LMO has held approvals for proper fitting of the thighs. Might involve just putting the velcro on at an angle (if you used velcro) to bring the bottom of the thigh into a tighter circle than the top. The chrome strips on the thermal detonator shouldn't delay a TX approval anymore than a TK. However, technically they shouldn't be there and the canister is straight black. -iz
  3. Oh yeah! I haven't seen one of those arrive at my doorstep yet, Bro! When did you say I could expect it, again? -iz
  4. Mine let me go buy a work bench for the garage to keep me out of the kitchen! Now that's armor that works for you! -iz
  5. Mine is from http://cushmanpaintball.com/. It person the details don't look as sharp as a hyperfirm, but honestly I think it photographs better. (There are actual holes in the barrel) -iz
  6. Awesome! We need to start making a TX list here on the boards by region/garrison. Might help nearby future TX find locals willing to help them out. -iz
  7. Try hiding the clip behind a pouch in the back or to the side, instead of behind the front buckle. Also, you can make some pelvis armor and attach it to the cummerbund but I think it's important that it "looks" like there's armor there. -iz
  8. Honestly, the buckle looks a bit too big. Scale it down to match your size. The webbing to hold the drop boxes should be 1" wide not 2". -iz
  9. Oh! I wanna see them! -iz
  10. Looks good to me, but it's a small photo on my phone at the moment. -iz
  11. Sweet! Can't wait to see you approved! -iz
  12. I don't see any reason why an eFX can't be used. They are the same as MRs and those have been accepted in the past. Check the junkyard. TupperwareTK makes the AM style armor. -iz
  13. All the info is here: http://forum.specops501st.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9-blackhole-shadow-stormtrooper-crl/ Just because something is recommended though, doesn't mean that the chrome tape isn't accepted. -iz
  14. Yeah, that was the original sketch that was later scanned, flipped and repainted to become the official artwork.
  15. The silver accents come from the chrome tape that were on the old FX kits. it's started there and for some reason stuck. The thermal should be black to match the armor. I'll need to look at what was written up, but I believe everything is supposed to be the same glossy finish. -iz
  16. When working with vinyl, for discounts always check a section of left over materials. I forget what it's called, but it's like a scraps or off the roll section. Sometimes you can find enough discounted material that won't break the wallet. Also, you can spray the back of the vinyl with black enamel spray pant. The helps you hide the white edging when you sew it together. I like the tutorial. You saved me a lot of time on my next holster. -iz
  17. Heh, we can get Spec Ops it's own room! -iz
