  1. Moved to a more appropriate section of the boards. -iz
  2. According the the LMO a Black Pauldron is a CANON accessory for the Blackhole troopers. I need to dig up the references and get them posted. If your garrison has a problem with it, they'll need to take it up with the LMO. -iz
  3. That's a Clonetrooper Commander, not the Stormtrooper Commander. Your Garrison may let you troop with the extras, but the Legion will require you to have all your weapons and accessories from the right era. Maybe something more like this: -iz
  4. Some quick pics, to feed the need: Yes, I have 2 Kits ATM. We're going to be parting one of the kits out between some Det members. AM Shin (Left), FX Thigh (right) for plastic comparison. The flat parts of this ABS does have a oil like color sheen to it in direct sunlight. It's actually kind of cool. That's it for now. Back to work! -iz
  5. Pre-made pauldrons are only about $30. So unless you're planning on making a solid leather one, it's probably best to just buy a black one. Why can't you officially wear one? -iz
  6. I had to put together other armor and stuff... And made post CV repairs... So I don't know. -iz
  7. Bah! I need to buy some more of that! -iz
  8. Alright! Here I go. Most people have wanted a "how-to build thread, so I'm going to list what I use. This isn't the only way to put together an AM kit, it's just how I put together an AM kit. I'm going to list items and tools I use in this first post, and will update it as the thread grows. TOOLS AND SUPPLIES: Aluminum or Steel Sheet metal. Dremel Rotary Tool - Any one will work from the Model 200 up. I prefer two 4000s so I can dual-wield! [PICTURE COMING SOON] Drill! Dremel drill bits work okay, but a power drill seems to work better, though isn't really needed. E-6000 - You can find it in the craft section at Walmart. [PICTURE COMING SOON!] Gorilla Tape, Painters Tape, Electrical Tape Hot Glue Gun Pop Rivet Tool Rusty Hammer... that's right... rusty. Sanding sponges or paper. I like to have 80 and 220 grit on hand. Snap tools: Setters, Punches, and Anvil. Tin Snips. Size doesn't matter, but Velcro! And most importantly... an AM KIT! (Just one)
  9. Just know that size 36 in Europe = a size 11 in the U.S. -iz
  10. Never seen the LMO care about the tube stripes being gloss or not, as long as they were there. -iz
  11. Your GML CAN'T approve you because Weir is Expanded Universe. What he needs to do is post it in the thread for Thomas to look over. Having three references is NOT a rule. It's a guideline to make sure people get photos of ALL ANGLES. Tell your GML to submit them to Thomas anyway, and see what our LMO says. EU is out of the GML's purview so he shouldn't be making the final call unless your costume is below material standards. But that's a rant, that wasn't really needed. You DO have 3 references: Comics, Hasbro Figure, and the three volume Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia! (And it's even 3 different types of Media!) If you need the page, I'll scan it for you (And deliver it with some Spec Ops SMACK DOWN!). -iz
  12. Nice... looks like it has little mickey mouse ears on top though. -iz
  13. I still have my FX, and the new AM lid is merely the FX with a nicer dome. That size isn't going anywhere. -iz
  14. There's was a Navy Blue one around before the CRLs were established, but I think the last time he trooped was CIII. -iz
  15. And you can find more info with the eFX comparisons here: How to Pick a TX bucket -iz
  16. I never saw one either. So until I see pictures, then I'm thinking it's a rumor. -iz
  17. I believe Navajo is the Scout and Blackhole is the... Well... Blackhole in that picture! Good times! -iz
  18. Nice! Keep the pics coming!
  19. The Nova met Wier at CV yesterday... And we couldn't move for quite awhile, Navajo and Blackhole also had joined us and the crowds loved it! I can't wait to see this approved! -iz
