  1. Ugh, the dreaded Rustoleum. I hate that stuff personally, and for that very reason. I'm a Krylon guy all the way. But, I'm sure you'll get it all taken care of Clint. You are so very close to the finish line now!
  2. Great score on the boots Barry, I was just looking on eBay for some of those babies. I'd love to stumble across the Jered version, but they seem to be gone-gone. Anyways, keep at it and I know you'll bring this one to life!
  3. I'm not too surprised. I still think it's a funky way to hold a blaster.
  4. If you bought the kit in black, you're good to go.
  5. It's a very odd holster, that's for sure. But great drawing of how it might look. I think you're onto something there and it would be functional, although not really good in a fast draw gun fight!
  6. Have you contacted Shawn Morgan? He makes the best SE-14R available. I have owned one myself, and it's quite a piece of work.
  7. Btw, my nephews had a chance to see a real onscreen version of this trooper. They loved it!
  8. Here is another shot that may help, too.
  9. That's a decent idea, and you can certainly lay things out in that fashion. The main home is the "Death Trooper (ROU)" thread. From there, feel free to start the other threads as you see fit. If you need any help from the "web guy", just let me know.
  10. Yeah, just keep the look-and-feel in mind. You can find that sort of boot all over and for a lot less, too.
  11. Wow Clint, you look AMAZING! That armor is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine. It took me a while to come around, but seeing you all setup really make me dig that costume more and more. Nicely done sir. When do you think you'll have the backpack? Again, so awesome!
  12. Glad those helped you. It almost looks like he's got a pouch like system in the front that straps up and around his waist, too. In the lower right you can see the strap that likely goes around his midsection. If I had to guess, the armor is setup pretty similar to the TFA stormtroopers. Seeing as this is coming after that movie (filming wise), it would make sense that they would follow a similar pattern.
  13. Thanks for sharing! It looks very interesting in that current state. Will be neat to watch you develop this one.
  14. Good idea. Also, I've hooked you up with 501st access on the forum.
  15. That's correct. Those boots will not be acceptable. You want something more like this: http://www.shoebuy.com/bass-amsterdam/325750
  16. Cool updates Clint and hope the finger boo-boo is healing up. Keep it up, you're almost there!
  17. Congrats and welcome to Spec Ops!
  18. It looks really good but the tube stripes should be black. I do sort of like the silver but that's not on the current CRL. You should really swap those out for approval. http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_shadow_stormtrooper
  19. What is the turn around time? As I understand it, they are doing a pre-order but don't actually have them ready yet.
