  1. That looks awesome man, top notch job!
  2. Great job Art! I bet your wife is super proud of this costume. My wife is very excited about following in her footsteps. Great job and I hope to come close w/the armor you have helped us obtain.
  3. Before you start, check out the CRL for the Shadow Trooper, and form a plan. Be careful w/eBay for armor and hard goods. Always check out the forums on this site, especially the Shadow Trooper section. You can also check out the "Junkyard" for items that may be for sale. Hope this helps.
  4. So I picked one of these e-FX Shadow Stormtrooper buckets up from a friend. I currently have an FX "flat-top" bucket which is pretty good for my big melon. I own one of these Master Replicas in a TK and after reading Izzi's review those I'd give this one a try. It's a really nice alternative helmet. It has a good fit and good visibility for me and I will most likely only change the mesh and padding.
  5. Water and Gatoraide with plenty of bio-breaks - BEFORE the costume goes on!
  6. Check out the Shadow Stormtrooper section for some tips and pointers on where to look. Also check out the "junkyard" as there might be some gear for sell in there. You could also post a WTB where appropriate. Just be cautious with e-Bay.
  7. Your work with metals is very cool. I can't wait to see the completed helmet. BTW...my wife is deciding on her costume and really loves your wife's new setup. Great work on all that.
  8. Hey guys...I wanted to post some pics of a DLT-19 Sniper Rifle I built. This was created using a Cushman shell for an MG34. I used PVC pipes, insulating foam, vinyl putty, and some Krylon paint. Enjoy...
  9. Good to read your update. I have been following the progress and can't wait to see everything finished up.
  10. Cool project! It will be interesting to watch you finish it up.
  11. Hope it works out for you. I was approved last week!
  12. I received my 501st approval letter today. My character is TX8455. Thanks for the tips and suggestions! We did a small 501st appearance in Corpus Christi, Texas yesterday. It was good to represent Spec Ops. Pics coming soon.

  14. Thanks again for the tips. Picked a pair of these up for about $60 US. My application is submitted and I am working with my GML and LMO. Also, I got a chance to sit in with a 501st member on a local newspaper spot for Realms Con in Corpus Christi, TX. Pretty cool...
  15. So close...but missed it by a boot stitch! My bad. I will be picking up a plain chelsea or amsterdam style boot today. Thanks for the feedback Josh.
  16. No problem. They are shiny black, ankle boots with the elastic sides. Here's a shot:
  17. Okay guys. Here are some shots of the whole thing.
  18. Thanks Josh. I added an extra layer just to be sure.
