  1. Don´t get me wrong Andres, but Jim's armor is also fiberglass. Or will you get a "ready to wear" kit from him?
  2. Hey, hey looks good?Congrats on the approval. That was a really fast build?
  3. Yeah, I worked with foam pads to reduce the diameter and shortned them to fit my shins. Always a gamble with already painted stuff, not to damage anything badly. Hopefully your spare shins show up shortly. I had to wait three months for my missing cod piece from Dennis back in the days!
  4. Great progress Wayne?I like the idea with the black mesh. Strange differences in Dennis's armor. My shins were much too big and long despite multiple measurements. I wonder why that is?
  5. Watch out for used Doc Martins "Jered" or "Talib" on Ebay. The "Jered" are very hard to find, but the "Talib" are pretty much around and cold be easily converted with minor changes when you are not striving at level 2. But in the end the IB "Killer" are the easiest way!
  6. @Chaos @MKE-Trooper Thanks for that Nick and Chris! Just asked, because I am thinking about upgrading to level 2, which isn´t possible with my Darkside Closet undersuit with fake ribs material.
  7. Hey Nick, I think I asked another member yet, but are the ribs of Jim's suit stitched seperately?
  8. Can't say it. All I heard was the lack of materials that stop their production at the moment ?‍♂️
  9. Hi Michael and welcome to the Spec Ops! As far as I know Darkside Closet also stops producing their undersuit, because of non-deliverable materials. The only source at this time for the undersuit is Jim Tripon I think!?
  10. Great list Tarkan and welcome to the Spec Ops!
  11. Welcome Sergio to the SpecOps and have a lot of fun building this badass costume! Looking forward to your progress?
  12. Hey Bogdan, this is off topic, but I like your TK-ID! Look at mine? Merry X-mas to you and I hope you'll find what you are looking for?
  13. Looks good, that is already half the battle?
  14. Nick, what I can say from my experience is that it doesn't really matter. I also wore t-shirt and shorts when I measured (and I measured exactly) and my armor still had a lot of space. So when you will resubmit the measurements with undersuit put on, I'm afraid you'll have even more space. From my understanding the measurements are approximate figures for ASP, otherwise I cannot explain these deviations when I received my armor especially for the shins, thighs and forearms. You won't get around adjustments mate, as everyone here had to do so in any way?‍♂️
  15. Hey Andres, did Jim's undersuit come with single stitched ribs? Could you post a pic of the undersuit? Other than that nice to see things going on?
  16. Great list Nick, looking forward to your build! Be prepared for a looooooooong waiting time for your ASP armor (I know what I'm talking about?).
  17. Nice shopping list Wayne! Looking forward to your build, always exciting to start a new project?
  18. The first question is: how long are you willing to wait? I waited 7 months for my Armory Shop Props kit to arrive plus an addtional 3 months for the missing cod piece. You have to be very patient when ordering at ASP, BUT the kit is very nice and worth its money. You´ll have to do a lot of trimming and strapping (although its finished), but there´s no kit out there "ready out of the box". The paint job on the ASP kit is stunning and couldn´t be better. On the other hand I don´t have experience with the kit from Jim, but I can say he´s very fast! I ordered the soft parts for my ICAT Driver from him and they took roundabout four weeks from order to deliver (international shipping Phillipines to Germany!) AND he always replied very fast to my questions, what I always missed a bit with ASP.
  19. With my 100th post I'm reporting for duty! Get approved today without any issues? Very proud to be a part of the Spec Ops now. Many thanks to all who followed my way and helped with advice and tips. Special thanks to @Chaos for your great and always fast feedback, it was much appreciated. Thanks bro??! Now, looking forward for the first troop in it?
  20. Approval pics submitted to my GML today. Wish me luck!?
  21. Thanks for the confirmation @nanotek! But I hope you like the remaining 99% of the build?
  22. All good Chris! The lower loop is just twisted, just missed it but thanks!
  23. @ChaosThanks Chris for your comments, much aprreciated! As for the belt boxes: on the right side just behind the belt box I have placed the hidden adjustable buckle of the webbing. There´s no space left to reset the belt box. Therefore I placed the opposite belt box on the same place because of the uniformity (I´m very picky with such things☝️?) When I draw two red lines on the hip and kidney, I´m still ...in a location between the wearer's hip and kidney... I would think. Otherwise I´ll have to redo the whole belt!
  24. Whoomp, there it is!? First complete suit up today! I must say, its a pain to put on all the stuff. 30 minutes in it and I was completely sweaty? With time, one becomes business-blind, but I hope that I have considered everything. Comments are much appreciated! Fire at will!
  25. Belt completed! Worked out exactly as in the "Legion 42" tutorial. Very easy and understandable, can´t figure out what to make better. Credits to the makers (don´t know if they are here in the forum!?). Also fixed the belt alignment on the abdomen/ butt plate by cutting the edges. Now there´s more space for the harness to move and the abdomen/ butt plate sit better to each other. Still have to fix some small issues, but the first complete suit up is within sight!
