  1. Woodchuck is offering these on the Legion boards now: http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74780
  2. I so love this. This could end up being my favorite costume.
  3. Amazing work. I'm envious of your skills. Keep trucking bro!
  4. the helmet I can't speak for. Sometimes buckets look to be oddly shaped when photographed at angles. The armor looks like recast FX. As always, approval has more to do with how you assemble the kit than the make of the kit. This kit could be constructed to meet 501st approval. I'd love to see another angle on the helmet though. I think for the kit, especially if the helmet works out ok, $300 is a decent price.
  5. I think your work looks excellent Walt. Do you have your vacuform machine up and running now? Todd
  6. Chef, I'll darken the chest detail and the belt rivet. Thanks for the compliment bro.
  7. Chef, besides coloring the belt rivet black (which I forgot to do when I hit the rest of the rivets) is there something I'm missing? I went back through Pathfinders and the CRLs. I want to be sure it's right.
  8. Approved! with Baby Fett:
  9. welder's visor is what I have in mine.
  10. I painted the detonator hose black along with the rivets today.
  11. Thanks Jim. I took your advice on the boots. Thanks for encouraging me.
  12. ack! I did get the pouches on the wrong sides! easy fix as they velcro to the chest plate. Thanks for your detailed feedback Chef. All do-able adjustments. I'll look into the Don Jarr greeblie as well.
  13. They work great. I have used them in royal guard and clone helmets. You'll love it.
  14. Here you go. The seller is even in Australia. A bunch of the Sovereign Protectors use these in their buckets. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Mirror-Insert-Fits-Oakley-Eyeshield-Football-Visor-/251148718956?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a79a1536c
  15. There are a number of options for helmet kits that are great. Some cost more than others. The two most affordable are CAP-W and ATA.
  16. Don't get the helmet. It is considered similar to the FX buckets and frowned upon in the Legion. TK helmets have enough space in them, so don't be afraid to score an accurate helmet.
  17. either is acceptable according to the CRL. If you are not planning on swapping out the holster for another costume, then rivets make sense. I suggest using Chicago screws so that you have the holster affixed ANH-style, but can take it off if you are trooping weapon-less or for some other reason want to remove the holster.
  18. Tej is totally correct about the drop boxes. I will have to adjust that. I can't believe neither I nor my GML caught that. Thanks.
  19. I have been approved to guard Sith burial grounds with my Nova Elite. I thought I would share some photos with you fellows. Thanks to Izzi for his help and to Scootch for always being awesome.
  20. it should be about a size 13 Jim.
  21. I painted the accents flat black today. As always, I got some solid feedback here that helped me in my decision-making.
  22. I saw these at Target the other day in the women's shoes: http://www.target.com/p/women-s-mossimo-kolee-boot-assorted-colors/-/A-14023306#?lnk=sc_qi_detailbutton I think they could help out a lot of prospective special ops troops. Not bad for $30.
