  1. Blasters can have and need to have triggers. I think you are correct in thinking that they are referencing the scout blaster, which has no trigger. EC-17 Hold-out Blaster Flat or semi-gloss black. Blaster does not have any visible trigger. Blaster is lightly weathered.
  2. Congratulations Jonathan . Welcome to Spec Ops
  3. I can. As long as the resin is still okay. It’s been a couple of years.
  4. I 3D printed a plate in translucent yellow resin. Same with the red one behind it. Just translucent red.
  5. I PM'd you the files It is all LED lights run off a 9V battery The blaster is all 3D printed resin.
  6. I printed it myself. The magazine is converted from my E11 one and scaled up to fit exactly onto the MCM barrel will PM you the files.
  7. Mine is an MCM 3D printed one. It is hollow and I have all of the electronics installed. I reworked the magazine housing from files from a sterling SMG so a 9V battery can fit in it.
  8. Hey Jim. if you past the direct link, instead of just the link, onto the page, the photo will show up
  9. I think you have some room to rotate the thighs in a bit. The front cover strips should line up with the ones on the shins. I had to trim a fair bit off the top of my thighs to get them to fit right. See how they fit with the torso armor in place first though.
  10. Hi Marc I used a decal to create the circuit pattern. The trick was that it is very difficult to print silver on a decal as it just doesn't show up. The solution was to paint the area where the circuit goes in silver and print the reverse decal in black. Unfortunately I used a mac for the graphic and have since switched to PC. the file is saved in mac paint (.paint extension) format, so I can not open it to convert it to something usable. If you have a mac, I can get the graphic to you, otherwise you may need to design it or have someone do it for you.
  11. Hey guys. the LEDs for basic approval are optional, so you can have them there or leave them out. If you will be going for level 2 approval, they need to be there and they need to work.
  12. You could try to rig up a strap between the existing ones at 90 degrees to allow the pouch to sit up but as you can see in the photo below, the position can vary personally I like it better straight up and down
  13. This is a common issue with the boot covers. You could also just add a small piece of Velcro to the front corner of the cover and to the boot to get the ends to stay down.
  14. Hey Jim, good to see you starting a build thread. I can set you up with all of the buckles and will see what I can do for the forearm strap buckles. If anyone has a 3D print file to save me rendering it, that would be great. It was fun getting back to trimming armor pieces again. One thing you may want to do is use imgur for your photos. The forum has very limited space for photo uploads. just create an account and upload the images there. when posting on the forum, just paste the Direct link into the message and the photo will show up. Looking forward to getting you out there trooping with us as a death Trooper.
  15. Hi Raymond. I am not an expert on the Shadow trooper but am very familiar with the original trilogy stormtroopers. The male snaps in the photo are not part of the CRL but are used to hold the belt in place on the abdomen armor. They are not seen, nor are they required but I think almost every one uses this method to attach the belt. For the Thigh armor, the rivets used to attach the thigh ammo belt are usually split rivets with a cap size around 5/16 inch or 8 mm similar to these https://www.abbeyengland.com/bifurcated-rivet-nickel-plated-12-3-16-7-9-gauge-g04701 https://www.rivetsonline.com/rivets/split-rivets-bifurcated-rivets?srsltid=AfmBOooqXMY4LTpmaMbAm1SzdHwSU5fJxMZgQTJst9u_iMRrp9i5lNM6 For the holster connection to the belt, they are usually pop rivets but can be snaps or chicago screws or even the double cap rivets you have shown above. These would be similar to what was used on the CRL model https://www.amazon.com/ISPINNER-100pcs-Aluminum-Blind-Rivets/dp/B08KXJ969Y/ref=sr_1_7?crid=12NETAZBYCVTM&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.MgjFJAJYXFRF8tA45YieA49uDkCshp_ck6CAsBRBGBXmc71SUJt3EQXZfcqacnUsls_YQZAqjOV7EDVoBN7dwxFyToZFS33AZYTKIxYCoN74WaZOlpTkGoyce89w4x5f0fZvZWIDGrGulGQfTGH_kiDkOQBOPIFNldUEj_dhBXKsor6DRep2E6__WXeHacXCJ9ZdLm492vJmoJe6bq4ozGGRCqbICHmYuBEjJMDQrI0.eh_XeMAPlI116ZuEAcNiY0AeNoDTEjDMxqkDufQh1HY&dib_tag=se&keywords=7%2Bmm%2Bpop%2Brivet&qid=1750771805&sprefix=7mm%2Bpop%2Brivet%2Caps%2C97&sr=8-7&th=1 Hope this helps
  16. Hello Pascal. Welcome to Spec ops. You appear to be off to a great start.
  17. I think the helmet could work with sanding, filling and some reshaping of the pieces with a hot water bath. It will definitely take done work. If you get an imgur account as Dan mentioned, then you will be able to post more photos and have them higher resolution for us to see better what needs to be done.
  18. Hi Logan. it is tough to tell from the photos. The face plate looks a bit warped, maybe warming it in a hot water bath before attaching it may help to make it a bit more flexible, then hold its form in the attached position once cooled. With respect to the other parts, some sanding and Bondo may help to correct the imperfections. Maybe try piecing it together with tape and grabbing some photos, so we can see how it looks somewhat assembled.
  19. Hi Patrick. Yes, the Hengstler LEDs should light up. I am not sure about the measurements of the Galactic armory blaster - if no one here has the answer, you could just try asking the maker for the overall length.
  20. Hello Cedric. Welcome to spec ops - great choice of costume. I look forward to seeing you in it. Looking forward to BBB (Big Brown Box) day. For boots, I would recommend crow props - I also wear a size 13 and he will make them that large, whereas other manufacturers only go to size 12.
  21. Hello Marcus. Great choice of costume. Looking forward to following your journey.
  22. Congratulations on starting your Death trooper costume. I look forward to following your build.
  23. Hey Matthew @TooTall You can see the 2 small boxes in the photo below. If you need the files, I do have STL files for them, just let me know. One thing I would have done differently with my belt is the buckle location, instead of hiding it under the back right soft pouch, I would likely have hid it under one of the front ones. Where it is currently (back pouch), I can not do it up myself and need a handler to assist me. If it were in the front, I would be able to do it without help.
