I bought the same lenses and did not get the mounting system. Had I seen it, I likely would have bought it as they are not easy to install since they are glass and you can’t drill holes in them. I ended up designing and printing clips to hold the lens in place with screws anchored to the helmet with JB weld.

I think it looks good.

Looking great Anthony. Should be a slam dunk for basic approval

I had to add a few inches to my shins as my calves are larger than most people. As a result, I may not be the best help with this. Widening the part will be a big undertaking and I don’t think you can remove the JB weld without risking breaking the fibreglass and ruining the shin. The boot stuffing may be your best bet if there is no room to take in the lower legs on the undersuit. My undersuit fit like a pair of pants and I tightened up the legs to make them skin tight. I actually need to turn them inside out to get them off. This helped reduce the amount of material I had to add to my shin a fair bit. The Velcro on the bottom to hold it in place sounds like it would be the best place to start as it is easy and can be reversed. Maybe try the shins on with a bit of a gap in the back (Velcro closure not pulled snug) first and see if it fixes the issue.

Congratulations Shane

It is this simple. You just need to rotate them so the ladder detail area is in line with your elbow.

Other than the back pouch, I think it looks good. -

I had a bunch of problems with my clear coat not being very shiny and found that using a car polisher with a cutting compound followed by a buffing polish made it really shine. Not sure if this is the solution for you but it saved me repainting. -
Hi Anthony, Looks like everything is coming along nicely. Just a few dressing adjustments to make in my opinion. With your forearms, the ladder detail should be more towards your elbow with the cut out at the top portion of the forearm accommodating the bend of your elbow. Your cutout is more to the back and will be uncomfortable when bending. Your Biceps could also come down slightly Reference for fore arms and biceps. Note how the top of the forearm cuts down in the front to accommodate the bend in the elbow. With your belt, the 2 pouches in the front should be symmetrical on either side of the buckle Finally, when you put your thermal detonator on, you are going to have to either move the kidney piece up or the belt down slightly to prevent the pouch from hitting it

Hi Chris. ‘Welcome to spec ops. Looking forward to seeing your build. ‘’I used rubber pipe coupling to make my rubber straps. Here is the one I used. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/pro-connect-flexible-coupling-4/1000120022 -
I used a decal for mine. The issue was that normal printers can not print silver on clear, it uses the white from the paper in the colour, so all that came out was a faint grey image. I opted to instead, paint the area of the blaster silver and then did the decal in black to make the pattern. It worked well but having a cricut now that I did not have then, would have been easier.

You are correct. It runs from the rear cover strip to the front one according to the CRL. I used UV resin to build mine up. I made a dam with tape and cardboard and built it up layer by layer. The inner part is also done the same way as my fibreglass extensions removed the raised area
-
I have the opposite issue. Mine are so long I have to wrap them around the ankle 3 times
-
That really sucks. Maybe you could try sewing an extension onto the leather piece and then gluing it to the inside of the boot with E6000 so it stays soft on your heel. maybe contact imperial boots / keep trooping and see if maybe it is a flaw in the material as I don’t think that it should have ripped off.

I did not fill the backs at all, I just used Bondo to fill the seams that were visible where they attached to the shins and thighs.
-
Congratulations again.

Congratulations

I think it looks pretty good at this point. The only thing you may have issue with is the top of the thigh may prevent you from bringing your leg forward at the hip. Make sure you still can move properly. I had to trim a couple of inches off of mine.

Hi again Jed. I had a closer look at the helmet you posted and I have some concerns that it will need to be modified for basic approval. The last thing I would want to have happen is that you pay a pretty penny for the helmet only to find it will not be approved. Here are the issues that I can see from their sales page. The main issue is the paint scheme. The helmet should have alternating metallic black and gloss black panels and is asymmetrically painted . The Cyber craft helmet appears to be flat and gloss black but is symmetrically painted. Here is the CRL color scheme compared to the cyber craft helmet. You would need to repaint the helmet to make it ready for basic approval. CRL: Helmet has elongated angular face plates separated by a nose bridge. The angular plates are layered in appearance. Alternating metallic black panels starting with: Left side plate directly under the eye lens. Right side angular outer face plate. Left side angular plate closest to the nose bridge. With respect to the vents on the side, it does not look like they are lined with the steel mesh. If not, you may need to open up the inside of the hlemt to put the mesh in place. CRL: There is a side panel silver aluminum in color with 8 rectangular vent slots, even in size and spacing on each side of the face plate. The vents are cut out and lined with steel small mesh and backed with black material. The side panels are slightly weathered with matte black paint. The final thing you would need to ensure are that the details on the back of the helmet are correct as there is no rear view on the cyber craft website.

Hi Jed. Welcome to Spec Ops. Awesome choice of costume. The build is pretty gruelling but it is so much fun to wear and looks so impressive. make sure to ask lots of questions as you go, we are here to help you on your journey.

I use a cod strap to connect my cod and butt plates. You may try to raise your back plate up a bit if your butt plate is too low (after the cod strap is installed). This will pull the butt up under the belt slightly and help to hold it in place All in all it is looking good. There is a lot of adjusting in the early stages.

Congratulations

Looks good. Maybe we can get the converse shoes in as an optional accessory. 😂

I have my chest piece tucking under my back piece as I think it looks cleaner. I found this screen capture where it looks like the back is over the chest however. The question is, did the connection just come undone and the pieces opened up while they were running and going into the position in the photo? -

I found that the E6000 did not hold the front of the shins as there is a lot of strain on it when you open the back up. I did use the JB weld on mine.
