Imperial Army Trooper Parts List & Resource

One change that may need to be made to the supplier list would be the dick blick montana gold paint. The new CRL update says OD and the krylon camouflage line has an OD plus hobby shops will carry several olive drab sprays

Are there other alternatives for Condor MA47 MA33? Because in Europe are very uncommon...

Davide, you can find the triple pouch on the site " GM-SOFTAIR"

Search for "M4/AK47 Triple Mag Pouch" you can find the one in OD :D

Goggles

  • Goggles can be either these from Uvex or others from ESS which are more comfortable and accurate, but cost a bit more.
  • These are the same goggles used for the AT-ST Driver and AT-AT Commander.

Hi Sebastian,

Curious, the CRL is calling specifically for green lenses for the goggles, but ESS doesn't make green lenses. Is this an inaccuracy within the CRL writing, or would we need to fabricate our own lens if we pick up a pair of goggles that do not come with green lenses?

Personally, I would have expected it to be green frames on the goggles, not the lens, to match the rest of the olive coloring. :)

I proposed the change from dark green lenses to just dark lenses but the change hasn't been approved / published yet.

if it goes that way Ill use Shade 5 welding shield since I have got plenty of it laying about here. My Hoth goggles are Emgos and they have new lenses, I just traced the original clear lens and stuffed them in.

Re: the H harness attachment

In the reference photos it doesn't have the buckles/latches like in the CRL. Would it be possible to attach the H harness via velcro behind the belt to get the most accurate style?

There are several photos that seem to show parachute buckles are harness links, however Velcro would also work as long as it wasn't visible. The pouches would have to cover it up in the front anyway.

I always have those handing around, Ive used them over the years.

The Strapworks price is great, cheaper than buying an old ALICE Harness to strip them off. It was over ten dollars for the cheapest Y strap I could find. Glad I had these already.

here's my list of links from the JRS, I just copied it directly from there.

Ill have time this weekend to check all the links.

*updated July 2016

Edited as required.

I will consolidate my list of boot links here, using newly found, and previously available and still "live" boot vendors.

If you are like me and have really big feet, look to motorcyle boots, as European boots will not usually be made in your size. They top out at US 13.

Wide calf ladies boots. Other than the upper strap not being there, these are very close to Sportsmans Guide's Engineer boots. A bit tall, you may need to trim the top down.

Ebay auction for boots http://tinyurl.com/d7q8vm4 (unknown how much in inventory)

http://www.Sportmansguide.com often has vintage, surplus boots from around the world. check thier website as well. Also check for the Size Zip engineer boot at that site. Available in wide sizes.

Leatherup .com has served many here over the years.

*This engineer box toe boot is not approvable due to the toe and the wellington top.*

Concerning the hats, try contacting Sewing Jenny as well. She makes a bmnice, sturdy hat. Next in.line would be Runya Jade In Virginia Garrison.

I have a pretty large coconut. Even the largest Wampa wear hat doesn't fit well. How do I contact Sewing Jenny or Runya Jade?

  • 3 weeks later...

I emailed WW again given our long history of working together. He is asking for better photos than what I sent him last night, which was the suit i put in my WIP.

Ill be sending him photos of the original USMC coverall photos for clarity. If I could get the Det statff to weigh in on the color choice that would be SUPER helpful.

Yep, I ordered some and when it arrived a few days ago it had a weird treated side to it. Certainly not the sateen material the old "pickle suits" were made of. It did remind me of the old sleeping bag cover material so it's no good for a cap.
