  1. Also, could you give a post here http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/forum/35-spec-ops-recruits-report-in/ tell a little bit about yourself. Who you are, where you're from, age , why you want to join etc... just a courtesy we ask for.
  2. Well, CVI is 23-26th of August. Which is next month. No deadline on you becoming a trooper, but if you want to become one before CVI, then you have a 1 month deadline.
  3. Welcome Tej! If you're wanting to go to CIV, then you're about 6 years too late. However, if you want to go to CVI, then you have about a month to get all of this together. That is a tall order. You could buy an already built kit and make the adjustments for a nova. There are a few complete shadow stormtrooper kits for sale on the legion boards. Or you can buy a kit and build it from scratch. I doubt you would finish in time. Think you could handle being a shadow stormtrooper?
  4. Congrats! Looks sharp! How awesome is it to say that you literally made your own costume.
  5. Those boots are acceptable. They are more suited for women though. I bought a pair when I was starting out. I still have them I think. What size is she?
  6. They won't go after them because they can't go after AM, TE, CAP-W, ATA, SA, MC. Who are they? Do you know? Do they know for sure? Can they prove it? Exactly. That's why they go by what they go by and that's why they're safe now as they will be then.
  7. Umm, you guys are already only doing this because LFL allows it. If they want to step in and say what goes on with the rights to their intelectual property then there is nothing we can say about it. I don't see this as a bad thing. If they make screen accurate kits then they will be expensive. Much more expensive than the current armor makers. There will still be plenty of need from our monikered makers. Example: A bunch of us wear Efx buckets, but that hasn't stopped AM from shipping them with every full kit purchased. It also hasn't stopped any other armor maker from making buckets. If anything, we have more sources than we ever did before.
  8. Actually with LFL backing it, there might be a way that they could cover the cost of the Red ABS??? hmmmmm???? Just a thought.
  9. Welcome back! This sounds fantastic. It will be nice to to have someone on the inside. <insert evil laugh here>
  10. You might want to trim off that inner lip on the bottom of the shoulder bell pieces. Can't imagine that will help much at all, unless you like scratched up biceps....But everything is looking great!
  11. I use 4 AA ultimate lithuim batteries in my bucket and I get at least 5 troops out of a set. Sometimes more depending on how long the troops are.
  12. You can get those fans for a little over $3 a piece. The tubing and extra wiring is only a few bucks also. Couple bucks for a battery pack and electrical tape and you're good to go. The same can be said for the helmet padding. I've found all kinds of cheap helmet padding on ebay. The type they use in hockey, biking, baseball, skateboarding helmets etc..
  13. Have been thinking about this. Who all would like to join up?
