I think the format for the trooper bay video would be a good start as far as what to include in your video material. This would be a great help for the troopers thank you for volunteering your time

That is the link for the specialist information for magma trooper http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/3429-specialist-requirements-magma-trooper/ To answer your question we technically dont have a level past 1 actually like FISD does also if you have noticed with looking at the other CRLs they only have one pic per item except for the fem troopers as there are two variants to the armor ( i am not sure if any of the others do) my guess(my opinion) is to keep it less confusing and less cluttered when looking at the CRLs.

I think the pajama pants should be approvable as well Do keep in mind the shins need to go over the boots so dont make them too tight otherwise they wont close and you will end up making a new cover strip. I did the same thing when i was building for the first time, looking good though

Those items were already discussed in the beginning pages of this same thread, which everyone pitched in and corrected some of the items that need to be updated. Also I think the main photo needs to be updated on the 501st costume reference library page, there are a lot of things that would not pass for approval which is a bit misleading for newbies. One example: the chest piece. I had my chest piece covering my ab piece just like in the photo on the CRL page and was told it needed to not cover the ab piece even though it was exactly just like in the picture. I really just don't want newbies running into those problems that could be avoided simply by just updating the pic. I know Thomas has a new helmet and everything so it would look super good.

Honestly i think it would make sense to fall under spec ops as well. Its clearly a special operations unit and not to mention its comic book canon which is a total plus. Im eyeing one or two of them myself and would go all out on one of them. Cant wait to see the final mock ups.

I like the gentle giant one we have as a model figure its really accurate and provides good detail just was wondering since the new black series added a new weapon should we also kind of include it as well? The new magmatrooper I have no idea if anyone is working on it but i guess it would make sense to bring it over here why not. I know folks are very attached to "nostalgia" and dont want to feel "replaced or outdatted" but its just like with research and companies that are growing we always keep a reference of the roots but we always strive to stay updated and current. Hence why I feel it is been way over due to go ahead and put some new photos up with updated information of the magmatrooper, especially the helmet. I know someone is not going to be too thrilled but even if it was my original pictures I would be more than happy to do the right thing and whats best for the forum as a whole and put aside pride and other type of feelings

So I caught wind of these epic looking troopers on the FG Forum which are appearing in a SW comic book. So question being are these directly going to FISD or will Spec Ops try and make a bid for them? I guess since its like a comic book type thing which usually anything outside of movies sometimes is referred to as EU stuff I thought I would ask and see if anyone has been thinking about these. I have to say they are pretty neat looking. New toy came out I think it was last year. How will that affect the CRL? Considering most of the MT stuff was not only from the 1994 Star Wars Magazine but also from the gentle giant statue. Are we actually going to get an updated CRL or is it going to stay as is? Honestly looks good except for one item on there that needs to be changed has yet to me changed even though it was a 501st legion decision made a long time ago. Basically the FX helmet, which our local GML in Florida will not approve regardless of it being on the CRL, due to the simple fact that FX is not approvalable as per 501st legion decision a few years ago. Key words being 501st legion decision. So instead of having to explain over and over again each individual that might end up with an FX helmet (which is rather unlikely) and why they have to spend more money on replacing their helmet it would be a good idea and the right thing to do by changing that part of the CRL. I already had a shadow stormtrooper who was approved way before i even joined ended up replacing his FX helmet. Good thing is most of the new kits coming out WTF, ATA, etc already come with the correct helmet. Regardless I will at least make sure everyone in Florida has the correct information about helmet whether or not the CRL is changed. It is the right thing to do and I am more interested in getting the new FL Spec Ops a smooth approval process. Also not so sure why there is still this overwhelming need to include double pictures there is not a single CRL that has duplicate pictures of the same thing on there. Only one set is needed and considering its 2016 and there are so many better kits available keeping relevant should be of utmost importance. Disney already said we weren't canon a year or so ago and now there is a new canon magmatrooper (which i don't like) so quite frankly keeping MT's relevant should really be important. Things are changing we already had a new movie come out last year, a new one is coming out again this year and seems every year is going to be new SW stuff. Things are changing we should change with it or be left behind.

Stand was made for the FA-3 Fletchette Helmet will be finished before TBCC. Still chilling in my closet as of now though. Still not sure if this costume will actually be made though it might in like the late future but for now still a no go.
