Another look

The helmet I am going very slow so I will post pictures once finished and also the boots once painted Okay so a test fit. I already fixed the thighs and body so it wont slip. However as you can see the ammo box dangling the rivets didnt hold so I am going to try and rivet them again if anyone has any suggestions about that please let me know. Also the belt I saw on one site they Velcro the front part to the body any suggestions? http://www.studiocreations.com/howto/stormtrooper/ So after these couple of things the next pictures after the helmet will be the official so I can turn in my application. The DL-44 finally got finished

One thing I would have to mention as well once you put it on with the under armor it actually ends up sliding on very easy. I trimmed the arms because I thought they wouldn't fit based off of bare skin once I had the under armor on fit perfectly. Just once example. I don't know too much not an expert as i botched my helmet and have to redo it but that was one thing i noticed. looks good though. -
Indeed it does I will post new pictures once I get my new helmet and fix it properly this time .
-
Yeah the helmet is just too far gone to fix at this point so I am purchasing another and starting from scratch. There are just too many issues besides the ears I pulled back one side to much etc. So a costly lesson but thats ok. I know more now on how to put it together. I should have did more reasearch on the helmet. When I built it was too excitied and rushed it so this time did better research and will take my time. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Thanks for the advice. The only problem with lowering the brow is where the screws are and not being able to cover the holes. If I can heat it up and bend it down that could work.
-
Thanks just that final push to finish. I must say building this armor was quite challenging and a lot of fun and I learned a lot. Next armor I build probably wont take as long sine the things that I have learned from this one. Tons of fun though I cant wait to start trooping in this

First time trying it on with the under armor it slides on very easy. Im not finished obviously the body is missing. The ammo box on the thigh needs to be put on and also Thermal Detonator needs to be fixed. The helmet I had glued the inside hard hat helmet stuff. Oh and the boots need to be painted,. So I am close just no cigar, not yet.

Thanks for the advice I think that is a marvelous idea I will try that and see if that will work.

Well I rotated the pictures and they still didnt save right oye
-
On the right side of the helmet you can see its a bit raised Ear gaps
-
Ok I have a bit of a problem. Helmet: how to fix ear gaps and semi lopsided brow I will post pictures when I get home. My thought was to take it apart and redo it since I pulled in one side too much. Shins and Thighs: The velcro shows from certain angles on the back not so sure what to do. I will post pictures as well. Just was curious if anyone had an ideas? Thank you.

Yay Goodluck with your build the people on here know a lot so don't be afraid to ask them. I'm rather new and finishing up my Magma on Saturday at an armor party. So glad we have more Magmas joining the bunch. -

Indeed I heard there was one in Orlando which is close to me Ill be part of the Tampa Bay Squad already did my first troop as a handler. It was a lot of fun. I will probably be finished with my Magma before the end of the month so more pictures coming soon. I think I will also try ot do the speacialist program as well.

-
which even in the natural light my camera still makes it look orange . Well good thing once I am fininshed my friend with her professional camera will be taking the photos.
-
lol nice i guess the red will ward off the Force Belt just need to add more velcro seems to be a bit too big the way it is right now. Helmet I finally was able to cut out the frown. I am a bit worried about the helmet assembly it seems ok but not so sure how it will turn out i may have to order another but I am not jiumping to conclusions until I attach the ears and see how it looks.after painting etc. it looks ok but i think i could have done a bit better it may turn out ok after all. I also got most of the arms assembly they need some major sanding to smooth out the rough edges then attach the rest of the snaps i will post pictures once its 100% done starting the legs today I am anticipating it will take less time

oh and btw looking epically good

Cool I picked the Magma because Red is one of my favorite colors and I always wanted to wear armor. Black is my other favorite so I am doing Tie Pilot. I was going to do shawdow trooper but there wasnt much a point since the armor is essentially the same. I may do the blackhole trooper but it wont be 501st approved it would be my creative armor but that wouldnt be for several years later. I am happy for the pictures so I can accurately build so the more pics the better that was one reason I asked. Anytime i look at the thread and the 501st seems very few we need to recruit more although I do enjoy that there arent very many of us.
