  1. Hero is harder to find, but there more than one stunt sellers with inventory right now if you decide to go that route.
  2. You are going to have to pump out 50 of these as kits before you are done, lol.
  3. So, I will tell you what I did, though every trooper handles this a little different. I took some 2 in wide canvas strapping and cut it in to a strip the length of the flat section of the kidney plate, before it starts curving round your sides. I put snaps every inch or so along the top and bottom of the strap, this would be on the long sides of the strapping. I then put snap plates on both the kidney and butt plate in line with the snaps on the canvas strap. When connected it gives me a bit of flex, but holds the pieces properly apart. Not sure if you can imagine it without a pic. I really need to get my armor out and snap a pic of this as it's been asked a few times.
  4. Awesome! Let me know when you are ready to sell it
  5. You can also apply some methods of connecting your split butt/kindey plate so the butt doesn't run under the kidney so much. I use a snap plate.
  6. Which paint were you using? Auto vinyl paint works fairly well depending on the brand.
  7. Just a couple minor things I noticed, nothing that would hold up your approval, in my opinion. Just know, this is me just being nit-picky as this looks great right now! The hip boxes on the belt are usually worn lower, not so close to the belt itself. While not a requirement now, consider filling the helmet seam in the back, if you find some free time and want a project That's it. Great work Scott!...I mean, General.
  8. Where are you getting the suit from?
  9. Looking good! I will take a closer look when I am not at work.
  10. I have gone wrong with scoring too many times, but I have also done that with scissors and the dremel, so what does that really say. I will tell you, I trimmed most of my armor with a dremel because ABS is more annoying to cut through with scissors than HIPS.
  11. That UA logo will likely need to be covered as it is looking like the chest armor will not full cover it.
  12. Hasbro figures cannot be used as official references. However, we do have a source that is similar to the figure, as you mentioned, so if you built to the source we could fight for approval. The problem we will run into is I don't believe we have any sources of the back, only the front. I would love to see this one done, but it is going to require some pushing for additional sources, IMO, to make it approvable.
  13. Take the guns away and it looks very 3rd or 4th doctor villain to me.
  14. To piggy back on Tej's post, HIPS generally holds detail better because it is a thinner plastic than ABS. The ABS pulls are thicker and in turn, stronger (and maybe a little bit heavier). HIPS is more likely to stress crack over time, but holds up well in that many troopers have and wear HIPS armor consistently. We do this to protect the sellers and buyers alike. If a full name is mentioned in a post, the staff will edit it down to abbreviations. Most detachments and garrisons take this minor precaution and are even more likely to do so with the Mouse involved.
  15. Yep, there should be little to no overlap with no shim. How tall are you? I am surprised to see this, not a common issue.
  16. I prefer the boil method as well. I did this on many parts of my armor instead of the heat gun, pretty much anything that would fit in my larger pot.
  17. With that said, I made some myself from spare abs that came with my kit. I just layered smaller pieces inside at the corners and then cut a piece that fit right inside the lip.
  18. Okay, mobile troop dressing robots..can't steal it...submitting the patent now.
  19. What Izzi meant to say is, 'Have you bought a kit? How is the build going? Still just researching? Any questions, just let us know'.
  20. Works well until you have to pull it apart I imagine!
  21. Hadn't seen that Duff blaster; looks pretty good. He doesn't have an E-11 does he?
