  1. @Blackwatch I think we are set on the tunic amigo! @jen0farc Thanks for that pic. Will add it to references! You have finished a build? Cross-check it w/ what we have drafted (though some changes may still occur). Great having you here!!! EDIT: Jen...can you screencap that IG post (I don't use IG) and post it here so I can grab it and add it?
  2. Find the most recent and updated version of the Mudtrooper CRL in English at the link below: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_-_Mudtrooper
  3. I'm game for that @JAFO Thought I'd mention it just in case. So... 1) M4 added to L2. Hex screw still required for L1. 2) DLT-19 pending. There aren't many better references though that I'm aware of @Blackwatch 3) Not adding drop box dimensions to L2 (still). 4) Not adding respirator interior to any requirements. @Blackwatch if you want to post final updates list to what we discussed (don't need to post the entire CRL, just the sections we are editing), you can do that and do a final check. Then move over what we need to for Val.
  4. That's awesome news! Thanks for the update!!!
  5. @Blackwatch Looks good. Lower belt and tunic settled. I feel that what you did there is a good compromise of the color. Keeps the Pantones but provides some flexibility. Shins need the color update as well however. I think the goggle strapping last line can be combined or be a sub-bullet of the line above it regarding the 25mm. It's an extension description of how the strapping should be accomplished. These would be the remaining items that need to be settled then: 1) M4 hex screw. Does the specificity of M4 need to be Level 1 (personally I feel not) or Level 2? 2) DLT-19 added to optional w/ flashlight. I need reference shots emphasizing that please. 3) Drop box approx. dimensions. Pull those in for Level 2 or leave out entirely. 4) Respirator rubber trim. It's being removed, but I believe I read somewhere that while it isn't rubber trim, it was confirmed that there is an interior mask which is what gave us the appearance of trim. Maybe I misread or am remembering wrong. Are we adding that in place of the trim? See picture below as an example.
  6. Did the armor kit come w the backpack or do u have to create that yourself?
  7. I can agree with this. Thanks for the international perspective!
  8. Mudtrooper references thread updated. I could use a nice close-up reference of the DLT-19 (with flashlight if available) if anyone has a pic of such. Let's save color discussion for last (again lol) then. Tunic...so there are no major qualms then about adjusting the text and removing "bull denim"?
  9. Level 3 isn't really a program here at Spec Ops...it's either Level 1 (Basic Approval) or Level 2 (Specialist) for us. Anything past Level 1 doesnt go through GMLs. It goes through us here at Spec Ops...the Specialist approval team. So theoretically, GMLs shouldn't be that strict on the paint color we list at Level 2. Currently, Mudtroopers don't have an approved Level 2 Specialist, but myself and @Blackwatch would be involved w/ that approval along with Mudtroopers on staff @Tarrif and @rickyboyblue So I guess what I'm saying is...the spray paint police would only be here at Spec Ops. We could (would?) require shots of the paint cans used, etc. Level 1 should only have a generic color listed. Level 2 can be as accurate as we wish to make it...someone mentioned earlier it would be a shame to lose the colors we know were used. Good info. I kind of agree with that statement. The other side of that though is...will Level 2 be achievable by anyone if we stick to the color demands? Speaking of Level 2 requirements...is the tunic fabric hard to come by in the real world? The few troopers I've talked to that look EXCELLENT (in my opinion) have been held up on a Level 2 application due to that fabric. Do we need to make an adjustment there as well?
  10. Sorry mate! Trust me...I go to bat for costumes...I have LMO clearance to do the others in the gang...but Han was a no go back when. I can ask one more time...new LMO team. Who knows.
  11. Focusing on your proposed points @JAFO...it seems that color is the biggest update. I'm open to wording and adjusting that to how you guys all feel. It can be removed and replaced w/ a generic color OR as @GottMitUns205 suggested we can beef it up w/ the added color topcoat. I'm ok w/ either...whatever will keep the troops as uniform in color as possible. Lower belt is cleaned up as @87ninefiveone suggested by @Blackwatch . Are we ok w/ his updated wording of that? Do we want to add the box dimensions to Level 2 (that's an added thing to be cleared in order to achieve Specialist rank here at the detachment) that @quigontimm asked about? Goggles...text needs adjusting and an updated item pic. I would add, that we have the ability now to add galleries to CRLs with additional detail pictures and views. See the Imperial Army Sapper or Shadow Scout CRLs for examples. Some of the goggle strapping and glides can be done in closeup in the gallery. Add DLT-19....flashlight on right side? Lastly...the respirator. I had 2 questions about... 1) Removing rubber trim. Adding in the rubber mask interior? I believe I saw somewhere that it was like a spray paint rubber mask or somesuch. 2) Can you elaborate on the M4 hex screw vs. simply hex screw? That was a detail heavily debated in staff area as going entirely Level 2 last year. We settled on Level 1 for it. Can the specific type go Level 2?
  12. LMOs won't clear it. The precedent for that is pretty much set since ANH...but Finn would be a better example...it's a rejected costume even though he was officially a First Order Trooper when his bucket was bloodied. I have a local friend that attempted to pass it and it was denied. What you are suggesting falls into that category. This was discussed and covered however in the early Mudtrooper CRL discussions last year.
  13. Han is a "good guy" and unlike the rest of Beckett's crew (which are never labeled or depicted as such) would not be a 501st approvable character. I.E. There are no approvable helmet-less TK versions of Han, Luke, or even Finn's bloody helmet.
  14. We have the dimensions in the initial CRL proposal discussion that took place last year and it was decided to hold off on those for 2 reasons... 1) A GML typically just receives front/back full body submission photos...sometimes sides. The dimensions of the box are unidentifiable from those types of shots. 2) If we add the dimensions (at least at Level 1), then we have GMLs asking for additional photos for submission using measuring tape up against each box/side. I am for accurate costumes but that would be excessive for a Level 1 applicant. Now, Level 2 addition...possibly.
  15. @splinter Thanks. I see it now in the "Final Proposed Version"...in the initial proposal it included weathering. @Blackwatch That may be a typo/paste from the Shadow Scout that needs to be corrected back to the initial proposal. (not the most recent which included the "white showing through"). Probably can just copy that part from Izzi's original post.
  16. If you read that in there somewhere, thats a typo. Where did you see that? The opening section states that armor and softgoods may have weathering. That should carry throughout the CRL so if you saw “no weathering” somewhere in the most recent draft (nearest to the end of the thread), let us know where please. Also remember that any updates here dont affect troopers who already har. approval...so u will be good regardless @splinter
  17. Thanks @Bozzy I just created a Mud reference only post and will add any of these that are not already in there. Thank you again!!!
  18. Solo: A Star Wars Story - Movie Stills Production Shots and Promo Material: Topps Trading Cards: Cardboard Standee: Books: Toys: Additional:
  19. @Blackwatch Let's move on and revisit this red later after @jimmiroquai has weathered the reds he has to match the reference.
  20. I am sure there are multiples out there...Darkside Closet is one I am familiar with off the top of my head that provides softgoods.
  21. @Evilshadow Your tank should be fine. Its fully black right? The bottom isnt painted right? Thats just a glare?
  22. I need pics still from @Tarrif or we will need to look for another option.
