@TK4108 Thank you for your understanding. It sounds like we are on the same page regarding our thoughts about the placement of the costume here. I'm so sorry if you feel you're being bounced around. Please don't let that discourage your build. I feel you could present this to the Mercs and the Rebel Legion most certainly. After feedback from some of our team, I've let the LMOs know our position here at Spec Ops...it doesn't seem the best fit for Fenn and the Protectors. If the LMOs ultimately decide it needs to be placed here, we would welcome it nonetheless. That said, I have recommended Underworld be contacted. You may contact them as well. In the meantime, we can take a peek at your write-up and give some recommendations on Level 1/Level 2 text. Think of Level 1 as the absolute necessities to pull off the costume look...and Level 2 as the fine details that wouldn't normally be noticed.

Alright @TK4108 I've received responses from our LMO reps ( @Hask and @stormtrooperguy ) here at Spec Ops and a response from Amy over at BHG. Just so it's documented here, BHG declined non-bounty hunter/non-mercenary mandos and suggested seeing if they would fit here. I was initially told to check "fit" by the new LMO team by doing some background reading. Note, we have had the Imperial Supercommandos (and Gar Saxon would apply as well) on standby here for awhile, and after getting an update from @Scubacat (our DL last term) she confirmed that those were indeed agreed upon in a FB chat to be housed here. Fenn Rau was not mentioned (or she had no recollection of that being suggested). I've gone through the chat as well and did not see Fenn Rau in any of those discussions...only Imperial Supercommandos and the like. I searched Fenn Rau on https://www.starwars.com/databank/fenn-rau It states in the canon description that he accepts payment for his services to the Empire prior to defecting to the Rebellion. Yes...he and the Protectors ( https://www.starwars.com/databank/the-protectors ) served the Empire but according to this it was in a mercenary fashion because Mandalore was under Imperial occupation. Contrast this to Gar Saxon (who definitely fits here at Spec Ops w/ the Supercommandos), https://www.starwars.com/databank/gar-saxon who was an Imperial Loyalist, held an Imperial title, and whose commandos had Imperial issued armor (with Imperial cogs no less). They were even responsible for destroying the Protectors and attempting to kill Fenn Rau under Imperial orders ( https://www.starwars.com/databank/imperial-supercommandos ) So, all that to say...I'm hesitant that our detachment, which houses Imperial forces not mercenaries, is the proper fit for Fenn Rau. We (Spec Ops) absolutely love giving costumes a home that are struggling to find one (i.e. the Imperial Army), but this one in particular feels more than out of place...a Mandalorian loyalist, turned mercenary due to Imperial occupation, turned Rebel. Add to this, he doesn't seem to have ever been included in the discussion from what I've read in that FB chat that Torri was in on (I'm not sure if you're in that group or not). Has Underworld been considered/approached for this? They have accepted Rebel defectors and mercenary types into their ranks (i.e. Two-Tubes). I'm open to your feedback on this. Quite possibly I'm missing some details about the lore. While I am now up-to-speed and in the FB chat, I would prefer to have the discussion here. I've also asked both of our LMOs to examine it and to take it to the full LMO team for consideration if needed. P.S. Please note again, my initial reaction does not apply to Gar Saxon/Captain Hark/Commandos. I do feel they absolutely fit within the scope of Spec Ops.

@Blackwatch I've given both of our LMO reps a heads up about this CRL and to come take a look at it, the references, etc. to see if they have any new input/feedback as they are different LMOs from when this project first started and Toddo ok'd the references (use of Veers...and the back). @Hask being one of the LMOs assigned to us this term (I don't know Brian's username here yet to tag him).

Looks good. Will be easier to distinguish when it's all in one w/ the L1 stuff (for me anyways lol). Couple questions... 1) Ab buttons are black? 2) Ab rivets are listed as semi-gloss medium gray...kidney rivets are black...this is correct? 3) Belt rivets also black? I see you moved the 45 degree angle cut to L2 (I agree w/ that). It's a minor detail that shouldn't hold up a basic approval. Thanks for the write-up. We can give it all another look once you get more feedback and mesh the L1/L2.

Here is our current status: 1) We are moving to propose one pack option (the one worn by @TX-15293 as the initial pack) and will work towards adding additional pack options/accessories via update when those pieces are available for pictures. 2) Neal has been asked (by me) to cleanup the shovel and detonator end caps 3D print lines. Then, retake the pack pictures. 3) All other pictures have been submitted and are being edited by @rickyboyblue. So with that.. @Tarrif @TX-15293 @Blackwatch and myself need to do a final reference to text check on the other pieces (they should be good but one last look) so that all that is left to do is get Neal's updated pack pictures once he does the cleanups to the 3D printed parts. @Blackwatch can you please make an adjustment to the CRL reflecting the proposal regarding the pack and pack accessories for the initial submission when you have a moment please? EDIT: We can update the pack pictures as well when the frameless version by @CrookKnight is available.

The edits being made will not deviate from kit availability...biker scout armor is biker scout armor...that won't change. At this point, changes and updates occurring here and at the TB are fairly minor details.

I have not gone through it yet but was primarily waiting for @furiosa to give her take on it first. I know she's been held up. My main question would be how much do we want to deviate from the original proposal (start of thread) to where the current TB CRL stands (they did an update at Pathfinders after the original proposal we had here was posted)? I ask because I feel like we can't (and shouldn't) continue to try and keep this aligned w/ the Pathfinders CRL forever...for every change they make we would essentially have to revisit this and I don't feel that's reasonable. Even the V 1.1 of the draft is a decent ways off from where they have the TB now in general. Does that make sense what I'm saying? Thoughts?

Got it. I'm on the same page now. I'm much newer to this than you and simply going off my training from the Izzinator. I learned something new and it's all cool. And you're good...I didn't get any harsh tone. So we are approaching this more as an "update" than a new CRL (even though what we do will green-light it finally). Sound good all? So with that said, your text edits seem on point to me. I think the lighting placement clarifications are good because I can just imagine someone strapping LEDs all over and calling it a day. What are your thoughts for Level 2?

Point taken. I trust your assessment of that. Regarding clear parts, I know of at least 1 vendor that makes them (WTF). @Fivezero can you clarify something for me (because this is a carryover project from quite awhile ago)? You mention having it "approved" but when I look up our CRL library on the Legion wiki, this only appears as "CRL In Progress" with no photos and states that it cannot be approved as of yet. Was something missed in terms of CRL publishing by previous LMOs or by "approved" are you meaning something else? I ask because there is nothing on my end that I can see showing it approved as a CRL yet. Thanks!
