  1. Even though I don't have an IA costume (yet ) I still love those patches!
  2. I believe we used satin so that it has a certain sheen when it comes to lighting, rather than full on gloss. I do agree that we need to think about consistency with basic, whilst still meeting standards for the costume. I believe we ran into this with the shadow stormtroopers and novas.
  3. @Blackwatch is correct. We have been hammering away at the IAT Andor and it came around the time that elections were going on, so we have been a little delayed with that respect. Hopefully we can start pushing the framework on the IAT Andor in text form and start buttoning up/requesting images for that portion and then can move over. I think that once we get the images verified for the IAT Andor CRL we can start laying this stuff out piece by piece.
  4. Alright, we have talked with the team and have a working group that is getting started with this. I will lead this off with the helmet to have the team input in the changes you have requested in relation to the reference images update: NOTE: Orange text indicates what was changed. Text that was removed was removed entirely from the proposal. Helmet Realistic style Purge Trooper helmet. Note that this helmet differs from the Airborne Trooper helmet sculpt. Armor is painted satin black. Helmet has a rounded dome with no mohawk. Helmet has a narrow red eye lens. The etched lines on the face of a standard Airborne Trooper helmet are not present. Along each side of the eye lens are semi circular intake vents with a protruding tube extending towards back of helmet. Vent does not feature open slits. Vent features twelve raised, vertical bars that are evenly spaced along the length of the vent. Area below the nose bridge splits open to the base and has a grey, vertical inset vocoder column detail. The front face of the delta piece features two raised rectangles. The front face of the delta piece features 10 ribs. Base of helmet has two widened ventilation tube bands with the widest tube band on bottom. Ends of the smaller tube band, above the helmet base, have a black mesh opening in front. Two black round aerators are located in the split area in front of lower tube band. The front edge of the lowest tube band is painted grey. A small red square is painted on the underside of the vocoder opening in the lowest tube band. Base tube band has elliptical shaped inset ventilation detail with vertical ribbing at the front cheek areas. The vents are painted dark grey. The front end of the vent insert is squared off Helmet has an indented band that extends around the back of the helmet. Squared off rib detail at the base of the helmet dome is a different tone of satin black. Armor has little to no weathering. Any weathering present consists of grey tones. Visor is red and has red lighting effect. ------------------------- Leading the discussion, we should probably make some consideration for L2 details (not L3 as Spec Ops does not recognize L3). Personally, from the get-go I believe that we should have the red lighting effect as a L2 detail for the visor.
  5. We are going to end up treating it like the Mudtrooper CRL with the associated versions, so it could end up with some different images. I know we had talked about this a few pages back and I'm seeking DCA team review for that.
  6. @TeaJay thanks for the intel. Whoever has the parts for the full suit up will also be the one we'll need to get the individual pieces from, for consistency on the CRL. @Blackwatch let me get a Google Drive folder setup in our chat and I can provide you with it and we'll reach out to who is doing the pictures and get them in that drive for editing by the CRL image team.
  7. Just an FYI on this that we are waiting for ratification from the election to finish out so that we can get the wiki going. Will need pictures from someone for this for CRL model @Blackwatch
  8. Hey, Sebastian! That block is for Specialist costumes that have been achieved, not approved costumes which are on your 501st member page. We have looked at that user bar on the side in the forums and have elected to keep it less cluttered by maintaining the current structure. I know that in the past that section was a bear to get managed and consistently stay in order.
  9. Hello, Chip! I don't see why you couldn't do that, just would need to smooth it out so that it isn't noticeable and that the color matches in the end.
  10. I'm not sure on some of that but I'll tag the team here. @JAFO @rickyboyblue @SithThundercracker
  11. That is great! This may be what you're looking for:
  12. I'd check this thread, looks like a few sources:
  13. Thank you for the info! I think we may have a few of those already on our references page. If you are simply referencing them you can right click those pics and copy the URL and then paste it to the thread and you'll have an interlink. There is limited total storage limits for each user so eventually you'll run out and need to use a third party image hosting like Imgur, Flickr, etc. to host the images and link them.
  14. Very nice! That clear coat will make it pop! I did hit the back area in a few parts when I did my Incinerator trooper because I had the same concerns as you and it helped. I don't have any experience with Crowprops (only IB) but it looks pretty similar in thickness to my IB ones from what I can see in the pic.
  15. Yeah the URL should be all that is needed now for posting. @Scubacat I can't wait to see another Nova!!
  16. Thank you all for the work into this, we are going to start reviewing the text and start collecting the pictures as well, so that we can start working on the wiki. Keep in mind, there still may be changes required as we see stuff, but we'll make sure to update the associated first page, first post and/or post along the thread for discussion if needed.
  17. Hello, @Oldracer27! There has been no new update from what I've seen or heard. I did draft up text a couple years ago but it will have to all be modified/refreshed prior to anything. We'll need the builder in order to move forward with the CRL.
  18. Thanks! This is still on target with the team. We are working on transition stuff now but can loop back in
  19. Thank you for the post and the information related to it. As @nanotek mentioned we'll need some solid sources as well as someone to build it for it to come into fruition.
  20. They definitely did the right prep work with it being that hard to come off. I've had luck with filler primer being able to do some of the legwork of taking care of sanding.
