  1. I have the Trooperbay ones for when I move mine on to L2 and they are great.
  2. Actually after doing some research I think the gray and black are the same as the regular stormtrooper from the looks of it which would be the following: Black: Humbrol 21 (black gloss enamel) or Testors 1747 / FS17938 (gloss black enamel) Gray: Humbrol 5 (dark admiral grey enamel) or Testors 1138 (gray) Took me 2 days to figure this out haha ?
  3. Still rocking and rolling with it! ?
  4. This is probably a stupid question (or series of questions), but what Testors paints is everyone using for the gray and the black? I was wondering if gray is the same for the buttons as the teeth and the same as the gray used with the ANH stormtroopers? I have both enamel flat black 1149TT and enamel gloss black 1147TT, but not sure if those blacks are good for the vocoder and chest buttons.?
  5. Excellent! Will definitely need to smooth those edges on the bottom of that left bicep or you're gonna snag your suit. I'm sure you are gonna go back and do that once it is all done; looks great thus far!
  6. I have definitely been following, can't wait for the CRL pics and costume to be approved!!
  7. Looks great! Congrats and welcome to Spec Ops!
  8. Looking very nice! To me the thigh shim looks just fine.
  9. I can't wait to see the approval post, you worked hard on this one! It will be nice to see the completed CRL with images, as well.
  10. That can make sense, different paints may have different setup times and reapplication/coating times as well. They can all react to the primer and/or materials as well, as everyone knows. Glad that it is working for you now!!
  11. I'm not a paint pro either and it has been awhile since I have painted anything (car parts was the last), but I think wrinkling can happen if you apply too many coats too fast or it is thick.
  12. Hello! Just curious, where is the helmet from? Reasonably priced and already assembled (commissioned) generally aren't synonymous with each other from what I've seen, as you are paying for the labor to put it together. I know that Crookknight (https://www.facebook.com/groups/679029939155041/) is now offering armor assembly services with measurements, but I'm not sure who else may do so. Walt's Trooper Factory has a great shadow stormtrooper set which is unassembled and Crookknight should be able to assemble with a cost. I think that RS Propmasters is still selling the fully commissioned shadow stormtrooper from the UK (http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/complete-shadowtrooper-commission/). I assembled mine myself, it came from Anovos, so I'm not too familiar with commission services. Let us know if you have any other questions!
  13. Sounds like a mighty fine challenge to me!
  14. Yep, what was mentioned above. Black isn't required for L2 either, but it definitely adds a nice touch!
  15. Looking awesome man! I wish I was close to you, I'd help you take pics.
  16. I would say those black boots should be fine. The CRL pic actually looks a little on the pointier side as well. Stirrups would work to keep down or some velcro, either or.
