Imperial Flametrooper (Jedi Fallen Order)
nanotek replied to stevechewbacca's topic in Imperial Flametrooper (JFO)
Yep they check out, I managed to grab their renders as well -
Hey Andy I was going to answer your PM but instead I will address it here with a disclaimer; we have not discussed this properly yet as a team. To answer your question up front, there is no plan to update/align the CRL to the RotJ Biker Scout. The Shadow Scout is arguably problematic for a few reasons Naming of Shadow Scout - We have more references that point to the name Storm Commando than Shadow Scout. There is probably some historical discussion buried in the old Zeta boards about this. I have heard that even Storm Commando was introduced later and that the original was far different than what we have as our CRL. References do not support an open collar. The current CRL does not match the game references in some instances. Aligning fully with the RotJ Scout for the sake of ease will cause drift from the actual references. It is certainly worthwhile of discussion and while we certainly try to align our CRLs where we can, I do not think it is as simple as saying "the Biker Scout CRL is X, therefore Shadow Scout = X too". I am more than happy to open a more full discussion about the subject and if we have enough evidence we can look at proposing changes to the CRL @RAIDER@furiosa

Purge Trooper (Phase II) - Kenobi - Discussion
nanotek replied to nanotek's topic in Purge Trooper Phase II (Kenobi)
My take on this (as I see this across other costumes) that there is an undersuit and then gaskets. The ribbing and smooth sections you are seeing is part of the additional gasket set. -
I have updated the wiki and updated the main post regarding the Cod/Ab, Kidney and Posterior
-
Re: separate pieces - I was looking at the L2 from the Shadow Stormtrooper and we have not specified separate pieces but agree to keep it uniform as possible. Reverted back.

Hey guys Just went over this again with a fine tooth comb and have made some general changes to simplify where possible. For example instead of stating colour and weathering as separate line items, I have now integrated them together. I feel like this reads better "... is white with moderate weathering..." Also seeing as the Abdomen and Cod are one item, I named them Abdomen & Cod which then led to the change for the Kidney & Posterior. This reduced the amount or repetition and also kept the flow similar to Ab and Cod. With the Jetpack I might suggest some wording changes: **There is a beveled and raised center section that is white in color which starts from the bottom white band of the main fuel tank to half way between the upper two bands. This center section has two recessed rectangular sections. to **On the main tank there is a rectangular box aligned to the center of the tank that is white & moderately weathered. The box starts at the bottom band on the main tank and finishes approximately half way between the upper two bands. The top and bottom of the box is bevelled, with top edge appearing curved as shown. There are two recessed rectangular sections on the outer panel of the box. @IcyTrooper

Please see our FAQs for posting pics As for the "battle pose" argument I agree to an extent that yes it will have an impact on the length (lowered stance, skewed shoulders etc), but I am not convinced that this is the case in your submission. Here is another reference taken from regular stance: \ As you can see the coat hem is quite low. Looking further at your pics it is hard to tell if you have the right boots. Please follow instructions provided above and attach some high quality images.
-
I would also add that the coat isn't long enough based off this reference For the coat we don't have any really good references to determine the exact coat, I believe we have come across a WWII motorcycle slicker that may be equivalent, but it is unclear at this point if we can use it to finish the CRL As @JAFO stated we need more high quality pics to assess this better. Please also bear in mind that we don't approve costumes without a CRL now, so the more effort that goes toward building the CRL the better.

Purge Trooper (Phase II) - Kenobi - Discussion

To me it looks like glare. Similar glare can be seen at the back of the shins in the first pic you posted -
(SW Legion) Imperial Special Forces Trooper
nanotek replied to IcyTrooper's topic in Imperial Special Forces
I think that this is the most important consideration in the argument for inclusion. Here is my summary review of what has been discussed so far: The tabletop game expands on information we learned from Battlefront II; up until now we are only aware of Inferno Squad which is a commando unit within the Imperial Special Forces. We have several new references to draw from: One illustration art work depicting an ISF Unit Leader and two ISF Troopers. Pictures capturing the miniatures for both Inferno Squadron commander Iden Versio (evidenced by TL50 Blaster) and an ISF Trooper. Instructional pictures and artwork for the following characters: Imperial Special Forces Unit Leader Imperial Special Forces Trooper T-21 Special ForcesTrooper There are some minor inconsistencies between the illustration and the instuctional pictures Differences? Preliminary discussion of the references indicates that there are some shared characteristics between existing CRLs for the Inferno Squadron with the following exceptions: Instead of the red Inferno Squad insignia and red Imperial cog on the front of the helmet, the ISF trooper has white insignia Figurine has two imperial cogs Illustration has white Inferno Squad and assumed matching white Imperial Cog No red accents at all (stripes, insignias etc) Lenses are standard black/smoke (are we to assume this? Or is it like the Inferno Lens but black instead of red?) Imperial Special Forces Trooper the baseline character can be Del Meeko with additional parts from Iden Versio: Ammo Belt – as per Iden Versio CRL. Can be clearly seen with all matching details in 3D sculpts and artwork (#1 and #2). Also a perfect match to that of the unique Iden Versio sculpt for Star Wars: Legion. Thermal Detonator – as per Iden Versio CRL. Can be clearly seen with all matching details and greebles in 3D sculpts, and a perfect match to that of Iden's unique sculpt. Colour cannot be seen in colour artwork, but there is no reasonable cause to assume any deviation. Imperial Special Forces Unit Leader the baseline character can be Del Meeko? with additional parts from Iden Versio: Ammo Belt & Thermal Detonator as per above Pauldron - Iden? Anything else? T21 Special Forces Trooper the baseline character can be Del Meeko? with additional parts from Iden Versio and Hask: Ammo Belt & Thermal Detonator as per above Pauldron - Iden? Bandolier/ammo belt - Hask? Anything else? Please check all items in RED as I would like to have a full understanding here. One concern I have with these characters is that from a layman's perspective, without the red accents (especially if you use the imperial cogs on the helmet) it looks like a TIE Pilot with some additional items like a different blaster, pauldron, ammo belts and thermal detonator. I would therefore make the case to use the insignia on the helmet in the illustration to distinguish between both TIE Pilots and Imperial Special Forces. We would like the LMO team to assess if we can create a new set of CRLs based on the three sources; Existing Inferno Squadron CRLs, Illustration from the game and the remains references coming from the Instructional Pictures Let me know if I missed anything else -
That's around a 60% increase in size and in my opinion is a little bit too large for the size of your build. If I was in your position I would reprint the boxes 1:1 (as much as it pains me to say that!)

Hey sorry, been caught up in a lot. Re: Weathering we usually specify for each piece as evident in Mudtrooper CRL, and it appears to be that some items are more heavily weathered than others. The bottom of the shins, the posterior and kidney for example have slightly heavier weathering that other parts, I think it's worthwhile noting these. I get concerned about burying weathering in the special notes as it often get's overlooked. I think if we have a phrase that matches something like "weathering is consistent with the photo reference" or similar can help too. Re: Valleys - cool I get it now, there's a recessed area (approx. 5mm deep where the ears sit, and it continues along the top of the tube(? where the tube stripes are, do we refer to this technically as "the tubes") and terminates at a right angle approximately 2"(?) from the front and 1/4" from the base of the helmet. Don't know really what to call it but maybe something like this: I think everything is taking shape nicely, thank you for your efforts! I'll get the rest of the team to chime in as well!

As long as it is realistic clone armour, then yes. -
Imperial Flametrooper (Jedi Fallen Order)
nanotek replied to stevechewbacca's topic in Imperial Flametrooper (JFO)
Looking great mate. I completely understand the challenge of working with 3D prints and trying to get a nice surface. I hit this point a couple of times working on my Death Trooper and it honestly feels like you're going nowhere sometimes, but trust me it will pass. You're making tremendous progress so don't be too hard on yourself. It's not a race and it's definitely not the end of the world if it's not absolutely perfect. When you spend so much time this close up to things, you notice all the imperfections and weaknesses but often fail to step back a few metres and take a look with a fresh set of eyes. Having a break from your build might be a great thing because you can come back rested, rejuvenated and ready to tackle it again! -
As this would appear on the surface to simply be the same costume as the Phase 2 Electrostaff Specialist with some paint/colour changes, I shall start with a simple copy and paste from our recently finalised Electrostaff rewrite, and we can work through one by one making changes as necessary. This will be the main listing and we'll tackle each part piece by piece (green is done, yellow is WIP, and red is not finalized): Helmet Under Suit and Neck Seal Shoulder Bib Pauldron Shoulder Armor Upper Arm Armor Elbow Armor Forearm Armor Hand Plates Gloves Chest Armor Back Armor Abdomen Armor Cod Armor Posterior Armor Belt Kama Thigh Armor Knee Armor Lower Leg Armor Boots DC-15S Blaster DC-15A Blaster Description: Purge Trooper Phase I: Commander Prefix: TX Detachment: Spec Ops Detachment Context: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Purge Troopers served the Imperial Inquisitors within the Galactic Empire. Shadow Stormtrooper (Force Unleashed) CRL Proposal
nanotek replied to Fivezero's topic in TFU Shadow Trooper
Thanks. Yes was eyeing this one up on the side -
Forearms are white and fully enclosed. Two flat, raised ridge approximately 1” (25mm) wide are present around the forearm.
-
Biceps Biceps are white, fully enclosed and have 8 evenly spaced rectangular boxes OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There shall be a return edge that is present with a maximum width of 3/8" (10mm) width. With regards to the L2 here, is this just to ensure that there is some kind of thickness? What if this is 3D printed and there is no return edge?
-
Shoulder Armor to Shoulder bells are flat black in color, symmetrical and feature 26 equally spaced recessed circles that are approximately 1” (25mm) in diameter. Recessed circles are comprised of 6 columns with 5 recessed circles in the 2 center columns and 4 recessed circles in the remaining columns A 2” (50mm) gray elastic strap wraps around the inside of the bicep.
