224th imperial swamp trooper gunner : "Korso"
nanotek replied to mike ford's topic in Mudtrooper Heavy Gunner (Korso)
For the “rubberised canvas” you could use a gloss gel medium binder like this one https://www.eckersleys.com.au/liquitex-gloss-gel-mediums you will need to use a sponge roller to apply it to some drill cotton fabric. This is the same technique many are using for the Phasma cape. Might be worth checking out? -
We can look at getting that added pretty easily. But you say there are other things that require attention?

Looks great! Can definitely tell the difference in the armor but that's no biggie! I think the last time I saw any build on this was like 2-3 years ago! Glad you persisted and got it done!

How's your progress @Fivezero? I believe we are pretty much ready to go, just need to get you kitted up with all the final shots?

Specific Color of Paint for Sith Trooper
nanotek replied to soccerman1066's topic in First Order Sith Trooper
We have not been able to get the specific colour, one person was going to get a RAL for us but went silent. Its a really difficult question to answer because the costume is molded PU, not painted. We know that they did apply paint to some items and some red tape. But other than that no actual code. I once hear the phrase “Post Box Red” but unsure of the source. The only person I know who has actually held a piece of the material is @JAFO- 1 reply

If the zipper is not concealed by leather/vinyl it must be painted black. So I guess the boot https://segarra.es/producto/5903/ is ok as the zipper is already black. But my guess is it would be recommended to cover it? @Blackwatch

Dennis has always been very reliable I know from experience he gives 110% to his customers, unfortunately he has been thrown into a situation that is largely out of his control. If you paid for the kit via a linked credit card on your PayPal, you may be able to force it back through the credit card provider. I know a couple of people who managed to do it this way, but it's not always 100% successful and will depend on your bank.

Not sure about the accuracy, but this should get you started https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Blaster-Master

Imperial Flametrooper (Jedi Fallen Order)

The gloves look excellent! Well done! -
All I can say here is that the boots don't look right but try your best to get them to match the reference from all the advice that has been given. At the end of the day it will be up to your GML, so try your best to get them looking right. I think given the situation there should be some leniency, especially as your shoe size is not run of the mill. Keep posting your progress in your build thread, the team will try to guide you as best as we can. I have occasionally snagged a pair of Jered's in my size on eBay by setting up a saved search, I would recommend you do something similar for both Jered and Talib as they do pop up from time to time.

nanotek replied to HRivera7322's topic in Armor/Soft Parts and Where to Find Them
Hi everyone, I have moved this to a more generic area as this affects more than just Death Trooper builds. -

Ranks & Badges: The rankings you have listed above are purely defined by how many points you earn for your interactions on the forums. The more you post, like, reply etc, the more points you earn and the higher up the ranks you go. Some interactions are worth more than others and some interactions even reward two people at the same time. There are quite a number of rules and no easy way to export them, some simple ones are if you react to a person's content, you get one point and they get one point. If you post new content you get 10 points. If you reply to content you get 5 points etc etc Here is the current listing of rankings and the associated points Rank Points Newbie 0 points Rookie 40 points Apprentice 90 points Explorer 185 points Contributor 250 points Enthusiast 400 points Collaborator 800 points Community Regular 1,300 points Rising Star 1,950 points Proficient 2,600 points Experienced 3,900 points Mentor 5,200 points Veteran 9,100 points Grand Master 13,000 points

You will need to use an image hosting provider like “imgur”, “ImageShack”, “Flickr” etc. There are many different providers out there and we won’t cover all of them, they are all different in the way that you upload and share images, but the concept will generally be the same. The most important thing you need to consider when choosing an image hosting provider is that you can directly link to the image and that the link is public (i.e you don't have to create an account to view it). You can tell this by looking at the hyperlink you are pasting as it will have .jpg at the end of the url and will automatically convert in the editor. In our example we are using the image hosting service called “imgur”, this is by no means a recommendation or endorsement; it’s just the one we chose for this example.

Protecting our security and data is of upmost importance to us, so a few years ago after a series of events we decided that it was no longer in our best interest to use Tapatalk. Here are some brief highlights: We had an incident with Tapatalk that caused a major issue. We logged a support call with Tapatalk that was never answered, except if we joined their hosted solution. We sought help from Invision Communities (our forums software provider) and they stated that Tapatalk was no longer responding to them either so they made the decision to leave Tapatalk as unsupported. Tapatalk has exposed user passwords and other data through a series of hacks Tapatalk had a history of not publishing security patch information Tapatalk also track your movements when using the app, this is evident when you try to share content from within their app and uses their URL alongside a shareID and then redirects. There is concern from other communities that they are potentially scraping data from sites that you visit through their app. This has not been 100% confirmed but given that they went from a useful app to monetising everything and going into competition with other providers did not sit well with us Tapatalk does not support many features that our forum provides If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us via the Tech Center
