Yeah, everyone has a slightly different take but it's all similar. The idea is that the chest/back parts are connected, but the shoulder straps are setup to "float" as mentioned earlier. This is how the original Stormtrooper in the 1977 Star Wars movie were done. I have mine with elastic on the underside, then glued in the front, and free-float in the back. This also makes it easier to put the chest/back on.

Now that's a nice looking TD, Al. If you paint those clips shiny black, you'll be all set!

No problem, you did a nice job on it. For the thigh parts, do you use a garter system? If so, maybe raise them a tad. I think once you get out there trooping you'll begin to update little things here and there as needed.

Looks really good Steve...very clean and nice details. I painted the tan strips on my holster black. I also painted the clips on the TD black. To me, that looks better and does not detract from the costume. It's not a current requirement, but would make your setup look even better...IMO.

SA never went out of business. The supplier that was making the scout gloves dried up. He's got some new/old stock though available right now on eBay. You should check it out quickly if you need a pair. PM sent with info...
