  1. I am eagerly awaiting the final pics on this one. I've been following your progress and can't wait to see it.
  2. Ty has some seriously awesome creations. He's got mad skillz...!
  3. This should be a cool one. I can't wait to see what you do Mearl.
  4. Congrats and great job Heather! I've updated your site access and designation. Go make us proud trooper...!
  5. It's a decent starter kit, but not really all that accurate (compared to the onscreen troopers). I agree with Nick, it's a mixture recast of FX and AM parts and would require some work and trimming to get it right. For the money, you're better off going with ATA as recommended. Also, if you want a really good helmet to go with it, check this post out: http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/1366-fs-at-anh-stunt-buckets/page__fromsearch__1
  6. Ya, I agree with Nick and Josh, it's a recast. In fact, the guy who made the kit lives pretty close to where I work here in Dallas, TX. He's known for posting sub-par stuff on eBay. It's usually poor quality and the fiber glass cracks and breaks. But, for $300, the armor may work for you. I'd get a new bucket though and either toss or sell that one if you get it.
  7. Ya...what's up Al?! Hope all is well with you!
  8. Welcome to the Spec Ops site! Good to have you on board with us. There's a lot of options available, but if you are looking on eBay, don't go that route. Most of what you'll find is not accurate, and would not pass 501st requirements. Some folks start with a helmet, so this thread may be a good place to begin: http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/1366-fs-at-anh-stunt-buckets/page__fromsearch__1
  9. Glad you found a bucket that will work for you. My first one was an FX, and it was super huge. I'm a tall skinny dude so it looked kind of funny on me. I sport the Arakyel lid now which looks much better.
  10. Ouch...I use a 2-piece top and bottom from eastbay.com which makes it easier for bio-breakage.
  11. No worries. I saw your registration over at BSN and replied to your email. I'm the web dude over there too.
  12. Check out the Bikerscout.net site and locate a member named Heatshock. He's a great CB-Kashyyyk trooper guy. http://forum.bikersc...hp?showforum=25
  13. Great advice. Here is the direct link on the BSN site: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showforum=25
  14. They are not mentioned in the Deathtroopers book. It is a cool idea though...
  15. Nah, just take your time and do some clean up. That's an easy fix. Also, try some Goof Off, it's great for removing excess glue. You've come a long way and you're almost there...!
  16. BOX PARTY! That is a good feeling, eh?! So, looks like you have some work to do. Keep us all posted and if you need help, ask away!
  17. I agree...avoid that setup and site in general. You can find a much better and less expensive set of armor. Make sure and check out the "Junkyard" on this forum for some member posted deals. Keep an eye on the site and ask questions. http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/forum/13-personal-items-for-saletrade/
