  1. Shave it all off Ty! I did it years ago and do not regret it. Plus, makes my helmet fit better!
  2. I have the large AFX mirror lens for my bucket. I drilled 2 holes (one on each side of the lens) then glued in a piece of 5mm abs on each side of the helmet. The pieces have a small hole that corresponds with the lens. The lens wraps from side to side across the front and secure with screws. Works like a charm.
  3. You going to shave your head?! That's dedication...!
  4. Wow Art, that's a great looking Emperor!
  5. Toddo did eventually get his blaster. He posted a really cool topic on it too. http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/1639-dlt-19-project/page__fromsearch__1
  6. Looks good Nick. How does it feel when you walk around?
  7. Looks really good to me Nick. As it stands now, the Specialst program emulates our brothers at the FISD (kind of like their EIB program). I think your are fine. But, get some feedback from ELP, BH, or Fivezero to be sure.
  8. I'm not 100% certain on that point Nick. The standards are currently being tweaked for Spec Ops Specialist.
  9. I picked one of those up recently too. Awesome detail and very lightweight.
  10. Good call on the TD Nick! I'm a Krylon guy so I hit mine up with Krylon primer gray and then Krylon gloss black, that's it. It turned out nicely...just watch how close you are to the TD. I try and keep about 10" away to keep those nasty bubbles from showing up.
  11. That's a brilliant idea Josh.
  12. Just don't gain any weight and you'll be fine! Good solution to the issue and gives you a stable, solid TD.
  13. Normally yes, but I am a frequent shopper with the seller.
  14. I have one for my TK outfit and could not resist getting one for my TX (since I troop in him). I got Option 1 and then grabbed the clips from him separately. I think it cost me about $17 for the clips. The clips are practically indestructable and made of aluminum too.
  15. This is the kit I grabbed at the FISD: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19083&hl=&fromsearch=1
  16. That's a good idea, but I would not do it. The TD really needs to be attached with either good 'ol Velcro or some sort of clip system. I chose the clip method due to what DE mentioned above - I've had mine run off and had to go after it! The spacing is close to .5" between the belt and cannister. Here's a shot of mine with the clips. I ditched my FX TD and went with a new TD kit from a member of the FISD. I had tried to build my own but ran into difficulty sourcing the correct size PVC pipe. You could go with a 2" PVC pipe from a hardware store, but the originals (and the FX/AM) are about 2.5" in size. So...your end caps won't fit it and the control panel won't work either. So, I just got a kit w/clips and painted it black. I've seen all sorts of clip methods too, some good, some not so good.
  17. Both my TX and TK lids go on that way...
