  1. Non-Saga / Rogue One era belt boxes (ones that should be listed in our text description) are: "Dimensions are approximately 2 inches (50.8 mm) wide, 3 inches (76.2 mm) tall and 1 inch (25.4 mm) thick" The Saga / OT era belt boxes (ones we don't want listed) are: "Dimensions are approximately 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) by 3 1/2" (88.9 mm) by 1" (25.4 mm) thick." Differences are 1/2 inch on width and height. ---- I ordered 4 cans of SW6994 Blackgreen from https://www.myperfectcolor.com/paint/26911-sherwin-williams-sw6994-greenblack -- After the initial charge of making the batch, the 4 cans, shipping, and tax... it is the most expensive spray paint I've ever paid for in my life at $122 for only four 11oz cans. It should be here in about a week or two. I'll be sure to post some test spray photos but after stopping into a Sherwin Williams paint store, the paint chip card looks great. Hoping the actual paint match spray looks equally as good. I'll be starting to prep for dye testing... here are the following colors I'll be testing to get the right color for the tunic, trousers, and hat. Olive Green - https://www.ritdye.com/color-formulas/olive-green/ Green Sage - https://www.ritdye.com/color-formulas/green-sage/ Baby Turtle - https://www.ritdye.com/color-formulas/turtle-toes/ Turtle Toes - https://www.ritdye.com/color-formulas/turtle-toes-2/ Avocado - https://www.ritdye.com/color-formulas/avacado/ Rain Forest Cover - https://www.ritdye.com/color-formulas/rain-forest-cover/ Bought a handful of dyes to mix these colors with some sample fabrics provided by Vincent at Imperial Boots. I'm currently waiting for the dye to arrive. My soft goods from IB have arrived.
  2. Scratch my previous message about the belt boxes being aluminum in color... they are darker than the aluminum belt buckles on multiple troopers... definitely a darker gray / olive tented gray. Here's photos of the two recessed lines on the belt from Nemik and urine soldier I have not yet been able to locate a clear side profile of the code disk on the belt buckle to show smooth edges rather than recessed ones. It's safe to say that if they are reusing Rogue One and other recent show costumes and props that the code disk is indeed the Rogue One style... but no "smoking gun" image from me yet on that front...
  3. Shoretroopers require Orca Bay specific branded boots for L2, I can see these specific Dents gloves being the L2 requirement for this costume, but its up to the Detachment staff. To verify that the gloves are Dents, there is a tag inside the glove; not sure how specific the Detachment wants to be with L2. I would enforce it if it were up to me simply because other higher tier Rogue One era uniforms/costumes have similar brand specific requirements.
  4. The more I think about belt placement on the uniform, the more I think there needs to be flexibility at all levels depending on wearer's body type...
  5. For the writeup for belt above... this line should likely be changed to reference the aluminum silver color rather than olive gray.. "Boxes shall be painted olive grey." --- "Boxes shall have an aluminum silver appearance" -- or we can use the wording from another existing CRL for the standard officer belt from the Rogue One era that has belt boxes. --- <--- EDIT: Ignore my comment here. Left it in for posterity, but updated my thoughts in a later post... The belt boxes are not silver, they are darker than the belt buckles. Also, this line should likely be updated or removed: "Belt is worn high on the waist, close to the bottom edge of the chestplate." There are plenty of actors that based on their body type / height they tend to wear the belt right above the lower two pockets on the tunic, which is technically higher than a normal waist belt, but I wouldn't specifically say "close to the bottom edge of the chest plate"... maybe "above the lower pockets on the tunic"... either way this will have to be flexible depending on the torso length of the wearer. The one person that definitely has his buckle close to his chestplate is the leader of the checkpoint team who tells his men to "Form up, do it quietly". The majority of the other actors seem to have it just above the two lower tunic pockets... So perhaps, "Belt is worn high on the waist, resting above the two lower tunic pockets." -- there are a few troopers with the belt resting on tops of pocket flaps, so its a bit all over the place on this one...
  6. Gloves writeup looks good to me... Currently reading this from my phone, away from PC until later tonight... Here are some quick notes for me to elaborate on later for the belt... There are two recessed lines in the leather of the belt at the top and bottom. I will snag some images later this evening... these recesses should be a L2 line item in my opinion. The code disk on the belt buckle is the flat edged disks from the Rogue One era, not the OT style with the recesses around the circular edges... this also in my opinion should be a L2 difference or even an L1, but will leave that up to Detachment crew to finalize. The belt boxes are the smaller sized Rogue One / Solo / Mando / Obiwan era, not the bulky large ones from the OT. This should be an L1 requirement, so that folks don't use the bulkier boxes. More later...
  7. I like the latest writeups for Shoulders and biceps. It's got my thumbs up. -- Yea, the Dents gloves are pricey and do ship from England, so shipping to the US was pricey too. Not sure if a L2 will be desired for the gloves, if so, the only unique component for L2 would be how the underside of the wrist has a U-shaped recess to aid in wrist movement with how form fitting the leather is. Maybe the seam along palm where the thumb meets the rest of the hand... could see that as L1 though... Not sure if you would want to force this specific brand, doubtful due to limited stock. I tend to get a bit obsessive with sourcing exact brands specifically worn on-screen when I am able.
  8. I would say, technically the shoulder bell isn't an accessory. My suggestion would be to place it in the Shoulder section with each of the two options listed, similar to how the tank trooper CRL is written... Here's the tank trooper example:
  9. I know I'm jumping the gun and getting ahead of things a little bit, but I was wanting to get this started as the gloves are next on the agenda and very straight forward based on the info we know from @fb501's post above denoting that the gloves he had on-set were made by Dents... when reviewing the Dents gloves options on their site, it led me to only one option that it could be since the gloves have no upper hand adornments... the tops of the gloves are a smooth black leather... and Dents only had one model of black leather gloves with no upper hand adornments... https://us.dentsgloves.com/products/daniel-mens-unlined-leather-gloves --- I ended up buying a pair of these gloves a few months ago when they were ID'd. Here are some comparison photos of me wearing the gloves holding my hands in a similar position. We can come back to this post when we nail down the shoulder bells and biceps, but just wanted to dump this info since I had the time to do so...
  10. Fair enough, I'm on the fence specifically about the white being gloss too... I just figured it would give a good seamless look if the white has it too.. This little corner definitely shows the gloss on the black, at least in my opinion... For the white, here's some more digging... Maybe it's all semi-gloss or even satin... definitely not matte
  11. For the shoulder bells -- Optional rank stripes located on the left shoulder may be present. The stripes are painted on -- as seen with how the paint fills the divoted recesses are seen in photos below: ( ...and how it is commonly painted on [not decals] with other troopers in the series, Shore and Tank). For the optional stripes, there is one horizontal white stripe and two smaller black stripes above and below the white stripe. I personally recommend that we state that both the white and black stripes are a gloss sheen, at minimum the black should be gloss. --- I think the bicep wording as @Blackwatch has it is good to go. --- Thanks @Blackwatchfor testing all these paints to help with ID'ing options. I think you're right, we will likely have to source custom spray paint options from a paint matching company like: https://www.myperfectcolor.com/
  12. Shoulder armor we will need to talk about the left shoulder rank stripes vs none... stripes are gloss black... and white... Have we confirmed that the bicep armor has the slanted fish hook detail? Sorry, should have internet access back today at some point. Would have been posting screenshots, etc. But hard to do all of that from my cell. Will add content tonight if internet is back.
  13. Tried to clean this up for @Blackwatch, looks good at the moment... saving post... and... does it look good? Change Log 1.3 Back Armor Back plate is painted to match the chest armor and helmet. Back plate has a collar that extends upwards and tapers to the chest plate. Chest and back plate meet at the sides. The backplate features painted details that vary from trooper to trooper. Acceptable colors for these details are either silver or gunmetal, but one color must be chosen. Mix and match of the detail items is not permitted. There are 2 hose connectors located at the top of the back plate approximately centered above each rectangular cut out/greeblie. Hose connecters are painted to match the strap raised slot, strap buckle and recessed box color. Back has two large cut out recesses with vent details and greeblies inside, all painted silver or gunmetal. The silver or gunmetal paint does not leave the edge of the box opening. The vents at the top of the boxes may have the openings darkened with weathering. Four raised bars approximately .375" (10mm) long aligned to the top of the recessed box opening may be present. Each recess has different and specific set of boxes inside that are painted to match the recessed box color. Light weathering is permitted. Bottom left features a smaller rectangle cut out with the left side stepped. Half circle indent detail beneath the backpack section must be present. There is a long thin raised greeblie positioned central and below the 2 large recess. There is a small raised circle greeblie positioned central and below the above named greeblie. There is a raised slot on each shoulder for the straps to fit into. The raised slots are painted either silver or gunmetal grey. Shoulder straps are black and are affixed to the chest plate at the buckle. The chest buckle shall match the raised slot color. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The hose fittings are angled forward. There is a recessed hole approximately .31" (7.8mm) above the top left corner of the left recessed box. There are two indented squares approximately .25"x .25" (5mmx5mm) aligned vertically above the right upper corner of the left recessed box.
  14. Dealing with internet outage hoping to resume assistance in the next couple days when it is resolved.
  15. Only thing that stands out to me is this line: Hose connecters are painted to match the strap raised slot , strap , buckle and recessed box color. Did the comma sneak in too early on the write-up? The strap is black, so I'm assuming it was meant to read like this? Hose connecters are painted to match the strap raised slot, strap buckle, and recessed box color. Bumped the comma from in front of the word buckle to the end. --- I know this is listed as "may" but would we want to make this an L2 line item? If not, I'm good if it stays where it is. -- Four raised bars approximately .375" (10mm) long aligned to the top of the recessed box opening may be present. All else looks great to me. Looking forward to the LMO response.
  16. I agree that references for the Aldhani trooper should strictly be based off the Aldhani trooper scenes in Episodes 5 and 6. I think we are still on track and not distracting @Blackwatch. The few recent references of the Ferrix trooper are strictly for comparison clarity. It is not my intension to use it as strict reference for the Aldhani soldier CRL builds.
  17. I suggest that the Aldhani and Ferrix troopers be their own separate costume CRLs. If the Aldhani "Stunt" and "Hero" differences are only the silver vs gunmetal paints, it may not be worth separating them out. Just give members the option to select all silver or all gunmetal on their coloration for that specific costume. My suggestion would be to have CRLs broken down like this: Imperial Army - Aldhani Soldier (Armored) Includes two tabs, one for softcap and one for helmeted Imperial Army - Aldhani Soldier (Unarmored) Imperial Army - Ferrix Soldier Imperial Army - Aldhani Culinary Concierge - [assuming you all want to pursue that one] Troops from "the garrison" versus troops from "Alkenzi" seem to be more-so used for the cover-story for Andor and crew.. if they use that cover-story, it's safe to assume that the uniforms are identical standard-issue or at least very very similar... I personally have watched, paused, and recapped episodes 5 and 6 at least 14 times at this point and outside of those minor coloration details for the "Hero" armors using gunmetal and acting like they are from "Alkenzi" and not "the garrison"... which they never truly get confronted about except slightly questioned by Jayhold (17:00 into episode 6)... I have the feeling that all the Aldhani armored soldiers are meant to have an identical look, sans the helmets vs softcaps.
  18. I was just thinking the same thing, those raised pieces that sit on the edge... I tried hunting them down on the Ferrix and Aldhani armors and no luck yet... I'm still on the hunt for them. They're so freakin' small.
  19. Another addition, perhaps for L2 -- The divots in the backplate... I know for my L2 Tanktrooper, I have these. Here's the two squares on the right side and the circle as seen on the Shoretrooper and other troopers as well... Aldhani (this shot is at runtime 11:11 in episode 6): Ferrix: Rogue One Shoretrooper:
  20. This is perfect. Having the note about not mix/matching is needed in the text. I like this! I also like the L2 addition for the angled hose fittings.
  21. Also want to denote the 2 hose connectors that rest on the top of the backplate are angled, unlike what we see in the Mudtrooper CRL image... see how these sit flat: The Aldhani variant sits at an angle, as seen here: This is something that @fb501, who was on-set, pointed out as well, the are sloped towards the wearer rather than sticking straight up.
  22. Here's a great shot to denote "Hero" vs "Stunt" for the backplate greeblies -- softcaps or helmets should not dictate the use of silver vs gunmetal color... it appears that Andor and crew are gunmetal and both softcaps and helmeted "Stunt" / extras are silver... Front three are Andor and team -- Rear 4 are extras (stunt troops) Here's another shot.
  23. Makes sense! My focus was everywhere else. Yes, they appear to be simple pockets without any adornments/enhancements to allow for more room to store items, etc. If anything maybe the flaps have velcro to keep them closed. The simple style pockets used on the tunic should be considered L1 in my book, but all for hearing out @Blackwatch's thoughts on why L2 is where he's thinking.
