  1. New submission photos with the updates sent in. (A formality) so hopefully I will get the all clear today!
  2. Question for ya. I was looking at the specialist requirements for this costume. I know the CRL's are currently locked and so can't be updated, but will the "Ferrix" weathering still be required now that we've seen them on Ghorman? I need to wait until I receive my uniform from Jim, but it seems his Andor army trooper meets the requirements, would that be the same for this costume as well?
  3. Definitely not me haha. I barely know how to use the modeling software.
  4. You will need to get fabric and print the buckles and rectangles for the pouches. Someone on here posted the buckle awhile ago and the rectangles I modeled myself in tinkercad in about 5 minutes. The fabric I took from a very cheap drawstring back I got with my garment bag that just happened to match the fabric used on the vest. I'd ask Jim if he could include some extra fabric to wrap around the boxes. I'd also be willing to send you the files I used for the vest fillers and whatnot.
  5. Small update, I had 4 items of feedback. 1: Pillbox should be all black. I was able to paint the small part that was not black. Just an oversight by me. 2: Shoulder pouch needs to have no white stitching and no unfinished edges. I had already done the stitching but didn't know I couldn't have unfinished edges. This has been fixed as well. 3: Need to verify vocoder is a separate piece. Took a few extra pics to show this 4: Need to verify the small round dimple on the right side of the backplate. Took a few extra pics to show this as well. Overall the fixes I needed were minor, so I should get my official approval any day now!
  6. I know they don't have the corrects shoulder bells for this costume, so I plan to get those separately.
  7. Hey guys another update here, Galactic Armory dropped these files ISB Tactical Armor - 3D Print Files – Galactic Armory today. Wanted to get your guy's thoughts on them. They look fine on my quick glance, but I don't have time to give it a complete look over. Thanks!
  8. Question for CS and those working on these updates. Would it be alright if I transferred all the applicable items to the JRS thread for Inferno updates as well? Stuff like the helmet, flightsuit, armor, etc.
  9. This is devastating! Is there any way to appeal this in the future? I wish I could see their reasoning. (same for the regular special forces too)
  10. I would say message Jason Hill on facebook (intergalactic props) as the helmet I got from his has bubble mesh lenses.
  11. This helps a lot. Was wondering what style of black the armor was. Off to home depot!
  12. I got my vest from Jim Tripon. You'll need access to a 3d printer (or know someone who does) for some extra greeblies and ask Jim for extra vest fabric to cover the boxes, but I think it should be good (my Del is currently being reviewed by my GML)
  13. E-11b Finished my build the other day, the smell has finally gone, and I would say it turned out great. Still need to paint the ejection port silver, totally blanked on that. Belt Boxes Finished these as well, I think they also turned out great!
  14. upon closer inspection I think you're right, while it does have the flashlight of newer E-11's it doesn't seem to have the other details, maybe even T-tracks instead of U-tracks. Maybe someone who has a physical set can get close ups. I'd be more than willing to build this costume physically, either when the CRL database is able to be added to/modified again or as soon as there is LMO approval (apologies if we already got this, I skimmed this quickly and it is 4am where I live)
  15. Hey just following up on this. I've fallen into the rabbit hole of special forces.. first working on my del, then finding the "generic" inferno, now these guys. I did have two questions and one statement: Questions: Is the flightsuit essentially just a standard black flightsuit then? I can't say I'm an expert between the differences aside from the red stripe and potentially the zipper cover? Assuming it is, would it be possible to allow for those with silver cogs to also be approved? My thought process is that IOC allows 4 versions - white embroidered cogs, white vinyl cogs, silver embroidered cogs, and silver vinyl cogs. In my opinion the BEST choice would be white embroidered cogs as they have the same "3D" effect as the sculpt of the fig, but for accessibility, maybe this could be an option? Statement: I'm willing to take on actually *making* this kit. I've got the base Iden and can easily order a new flightsuit with white embroidered cogs and a new helmet with no red highlights and a set of white Inferno markings (otherwise this seems like just another tie pilot, I personally believe this is the best way to go) I also happen to have a Hask bandolier and I know someone who I believe would be able to make the black pauldron shown in the artwork.
  16. If not pointed out already, the e-11's should be the newer Rogue One and onwards style. Looking forward to this becoming real, I basically have it put together, just need to make a slight modification to my belt and I'm good to go for if/when this is ready to be published.
  17. That's very reassuring! I'm hoping my GML's agree with you!
  18. Whelp here I am 2 hours later and I've officially submitted! Here's my photos for y'all to look at as well.
  19. My replacement leather arrived today! Finishing up assembling what I needed and I should be ready for submission photos in about 2 hours or so
  20. Good evening Spec Ops, after last weeks episodes of Andor, I finally convinced myself to get a security trooper. The plan is to start with the base costume while we wait for the CRL site to be fixed, once that's done I plan to make the Ghorman version with chest, bicep and shoulder armor. I'm also considering making either the riot helmet, or the regular helmet.. we'll see what happens. I plan to make the E-11b and potentially the zap rod if I make the riot helmet. Sources: Hat/Tunic/Pants ORDERED - Jim Tripon. He's done great by me in the past, and I trust his process. Plus seeing what he made for Pyro, it seems like a good option. Price is a big factor too. Belt Boxes HAVE - From BaileyBuilds, I actually already have a set of these for my ISB, but to my knowledge I can't use them anymore if they're painted, so I got a second set. Belt HAVE - Purchased from Wampa Wear about 2 years ago, still stands up very well Belt disc HAVE - Also from Bailey, I plan to swap it out on my buckle. Boots HAVE - KeepTrooping, I absolutely love all of my keeptrooping items, good price, good quality, relatively fast shipping. Gloves HAVE - Keeptrooping, same as said about the boots, these are actually lined with something really soft, love them! Armor ORDERED - Imperial Surplus, good known maker, fairly expensive but good quality. I opted for "option 3" with the shins. New Era Andor Armor Kit (Seasons 1 & 2) Riot Helmet Files PRINTING - Considering these that Pyro posted, looks good to me for a quick glance. Riot Trooper Helmet (andor) STL File (download) - Etsy E-11b files HAVE - Already had these from GA, not sure if it's 100% accurate or not, but I've printed one before (sold) and it was a very painless process. E-11 Blaster - 3D Print Files – Galactic Armory E-10.5 files HAVE - Gotta go digging in my etsy, I purchased them way back after Andor S1 and never actually printed them haha! Link when I find it MSP5 Files + base HAVE - I used a cheap airsoft C96 base I found off ebay, and printed out the greebs from files I found on thingiverse. I scaled down the barrel significantly. I think the original is too long, and at 80% is better. However I'm a rather small person (5 7) so I scaled it down to about 60% I believe. It fits in my holster (Darman Props) very nicely. I decided to exclude the wire on my initial build since I didn't think it would fit the holster, but I plan to add the straight wire (along with painting the greeb details) shortly. Zap Rod files DON'T HAVE - Also post by Pyro, again looks good to me but I don't have enough experience to say for sure if they're good or not. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/zap-rod-from-andor-series SHIELD DON'T HAVE - This is gonna be a tough one. I've been looking at the excellent thread by Karo, and I'm thinking of 3d printing my shield. I only have limited knowledge with CAD but my goal is to be able to have the parts interlock for easy gluing, along with hoping and praying I actually have the skills to pull this off. We'll see. I tried making a coruscant guard clone shield before, but realized I bit off more than I can chew with that one. (Now thinking back, If I use my 3d printing Idea I might be able to pull it off.. too bad I don't have my clone kit anymore!)
  21. This came out very fast! Might start working on this for when we can start doing CRL's (and updates) again.
  22. One more thing, I'm curious about how I'm supposed to mount the pouches to the belt. Here's what I've got. It looks like there shouldn't be a visible strap *above* the pouch. I'm pretty sure I understand how to do it (sew the flap to the pouch, then use velcro after looping it over the belt to hold it in place) but I would like some imput from a cleared Del if possible. (excuse the excessive amount of dog fur, it was accidently living on the floor for a few days) ALSO ALSO this is the BACK side, it's just a flat flap not the angled outward facing one.
  23. Small update, I didn't realize that I needed just a bit more work for the vest and some of the hard parts. Submission on hold.. probably until finals are over. We'll see
