  1. It is the black protocol Droid. Here is the crl with images for reference: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_000
  2. Congrats on the approval! Where's the awesome action approval pic?
  3. Intimidating - yes. Totally awesome - definitely. You are very well organized, it will be no problem.
  4. Bingo. If we get full 360's before that we can put a more fully realized draft together, but it could still have some updates of what gets released in the game differs.
  5. It's pricey, but it doesn't suffer from being slightly inflated in size where some others do. It's accurate, but it's heavy. You need to weigh those things. If the money isn't a question and the weight isn't a concern, then it is a great choice.
  6. You can still use an abs glue on a 3D print. The best thing would be to test it on your smashed shoulder to see how it reacts. As for smooth on, I've used it over PVC and it works, but that's so I can then work out hardening it. With a 3d print I would sand and fill.
  7. From an accuracy standpoint, the helmet is one of the best. For armor, most all the kits are very close so any would work.
  8. There will be soon As for the shoes, in the end, they need to match. You don't see the brand in the movie, so if the shoe matches exactly, including the sole ribs, which is the current biggest distinction, then you would be good to go.
  9. They are greeblies at this point I've seen them referred to as guns before. There isn't any visual proof of what they are to my knowledge. Never shown in use as a weapon. Perhaps in the novels somewhere? I do wonder if it matters. Are we just looking for a different label for them or for some other reason?
  10. Yup, the vendors often have spare pieces laying around.
  11. Nothing new - spec ops is getting the ground version and JRS the pilot. That is all confirmed through the LMO. In a few weeks the book comes out and we should have more info but it will really be once the game comes out that things can really move.
  12. Everything is looking very well organized. V3 has to be better than v2, right? It's one number bigger
  13. Most definitely, Jon. Just let me know when you have them
  14. That's an interesting idea, Chris. I'll definitely have to give that some thought.
  15. The one thing with Jim's kit to look at is the size of the bucket. If your noggin isn't huge, going with 850 and getting the helmet from Anovos isn't a bad route. The Anovos bucket sizing matches on screen.
  16. What you described looks like it would work as long as your TK under piece is trimmed at the top since the seatrooper's calf go straight acorss the top edge. The only issue with the green strapping is it looks to be one piece with what would be the steatrooper piece that sits on top of your TK calf base. You can follow it from the front-facing troopers right calf around to the rear-facing (farther away) troopers left calf to it's end which isn't quite viable on the front-facing troopers left calf. Your orange cut-outs suggest the cut-out portion wraps around the entire back, ending in the middle-front of the calf on both sides, but looking at the seatroopers left calf (the closer one), it would only go around one third of the way on the outside and two thirds on the inside. I think what we are missing are the calf jets. There aren't seen very well in the farther away trooper, but they are clearly there on the closer one. I think the pieces that wrap around can logically meet in the back of the calf, right at the midpoint. That can be a seam and the jet would sit over it, essentially covering the seam. Pretty much of this custom action figure is. This wouldn't be considered a source, but it's a good representation of what we already can see in the art. It's also easier to see in this pic, though not by much. I would feel very comfortable back a seam at the rear of the calf that the jet covers. What do you think?
  17. Ya, I agree on the bulkiness being too much. Once I can get to a computer, I'll take a look at the over armor sketching you did.
  18. To me, in the back, you'd have an overlapping setup, with one side running over the other, which should allow you to essentially clamshell them on. So, the bars across would sit on top of the under solid piece which is more like just a standard plastic tube. The lower pieces look like they would overlap, so they could also clamshell on.
