Can someone pin this to the top please -
A quick reference to help navigate the topics in this thread: CRL Reference Photos Armour Soft Parts Blasters Belt Boots Optional Extrs/Variants

Further details added to the CRL. Have tried to provide detailed photos of each part to support the descriptions but am limited by the number of photos allowed so will add more detail to the armour thread shortly.

I have changed the designation at the top if the CRL. It is now what it should be I had forgotten that the ST had set the precident. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

I'd like to go with the DT Prefix but I thought that stormtrooper variants had to start with "T"!? Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

Can't take all of the credit on this. Tom Campbell whose armour is in the photos has help with its description. More to follow Once I have recovered from seeing these bad boys in action for the first time. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

A few more updates with some photos of Tom's armour. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

From the reference photos taken at SWCE it would seem that the rangefinder is optional for the standard DT so I think it should be optional for standard clearance Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

Tommy's Completed Death Trooper Build

This is one awesome build mate You have nailed it. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk -
As Jim says the CRL is being developed and I have a significant number of updates that I will be adding over the holidays Watch this space. As for the finish, the vast majority of the unweathered DT is a high gloss black but based on light reflection from the SWCE reference photos it seems that certain panels on the armour and lid have been accented using a similar technique to that seen on the vader lid .ie. the use of a matt black or even a black silver (graphite or carbon) to provide definition. I hope to have some photos of a completed armour set to go with the CRL shortly. This has the highlighting evident on it Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

Jimmiroquai - Death Trooper Helmet and Armor WIP

Awesome job Jim. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk -
For what I can tell the belt is meant to cover the joint between the back and butt plates and cover the top of the cod piece but sits just below the ab plate. The thigh armour is held up by webbing straps on the SWCE costumes which could be attached to the Undersuit and therefore the belt is there to cover all of that. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

For my scout lid I used a hot glue gun to stick the lens in place. Seemed to work fine and I never saw any adverse effects on the colour. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

Thanks. Check out my post in the sales thread if you need any The closest thing to a close up I have is this: And this: Oh, and for interest here is a photo of the original buckle components that I am casting from: Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk -

DT shoulder strap and buckle question
marktoots replied to Aragorn75's topic in Imperial Death Trooper
Hi mate. I am casting from the original found parts that make up the shoulder buckles. Based on their dimensions the strap is approx. 46mm wide. It is suspected that the straps are cut from rubber matting or timing/conveyor belt material but I don't know of anyone that has located the correct material yet. Here is an update on my belt prototype. I don't have all the armour plates in place but everything else is there. And here is a photo of the leather goods: The rubber belt is backed with webbing which has velcro stitched to it in order to provide the hidden closer mechanism. I have overlapped the belt on the right is with the free end being hidden behind the rear pouch which seems to match what was seen at SWCE. The advantage of doing this is that all the fixed items .ie. belt boxes, buckle and leather pouch can be spaced appropriately and this won't the change if you have to losses or tighten the belt. The holster and front right canvas pouch provide a means of holding the overlap together tightly and I am considering adding some velcro to the part of the belt being overlapped in order to provide extra fastening. For information the leather pouch does not seem to have a belt loop on the screen used costumes so I am attaching mine with snaps. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

Jimmiroquai - Death Trooper Helmet and Armor WIP
marktoots replied to jimmiroquai's topic in Imperial Death Trooper
You are really flying with the DT armour now A couple of observations: On the Forearms the indents of the ladders are a bit narrow. Also on the left forearm you have got the detailing for the strap connectors but not the straps themselves! What is you plan there? With regard to the shin/calf armour your's is very shapely in comparison to the SWCE armour Will suit well defined calf muscles Also I noticed Derrek's observation on fb earlier with regard to the lower leg armour. I agree with him that there seems to be a split in the armour down the rear and that the inner piece is part of a retaining mechanism. I can however understand why you are considering casting it the way you are. I have included a couple of photos showing the overlap. Hope this helps? Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk -
I must admit I wondered how long it would be before Disney changed the name as Death Trooper doesn't paint a family friendly picture does it!? Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
