  1. Hi Jim. Looking good mate. The Biceps look spot on once you have widened the detailing lines The one thing I have spotted is with the right thigh. There are a couple of details missing. However, you may have got them covered already. The first is the sniper plate (!?). The second relates to this and is a detail on the outside just above the knee. The only other thin is that the ribbed areas look to be rubber on the SWCE costumes. However, I have yet to find the correct material and am wondering how that would bond into the fibre glass anyway!? Awesome work though. Keep it coming Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  2. Agreed Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  3. No problem The sidearm was holstered in two different positions at SWCE and the photo I posted was from te Auz comic con. I have set up the holster so that the top strap rotates allowing me to attach the sidearm either way Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  4. The SE -14R is strapped in two places. At the base of the holster which is wrapped around the scope, and near the top of the holster just below the belt. The strap in this area can be attached in a number of ways with my set up being one: Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  5. I just need to fit the remaining armour plates on the pouches and the belt is complete Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  6. Welcome Andrew. Great to hear that your son is doing well. Can't wait to see your DT build progress and hope you will contribute to the CRL discussion and ongoing research. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  7. Details at top of thread updated. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk

  9. Well I gave up trying to find the leather pouch and made one myself. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  10. I'm 5' 10" or 5' 8" depending on which leg I stand on and it's not going to stop me as long as my armour is proportioned appropriately Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  11. Awesome updates Jim. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  12. I agree that it is meant to be some sort of targeting laser pointer and like you have found nothing that is even close! Here is a better image of the front section. Sadly the back section and wiring has been lost in the shadows. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  13. I think you have done an amazing job with this Tom. Well done. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  14. Following a discussion elsewhere about chest and abdominal armour and how it fits I have noticed that the SWCE abdominal only has 7 horizontal slats. In the photo I posted you can clearly see the last one is fully exposed immediately below the chestplate but the armour does still extend above it a short way Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  15. How many ribs do you have on the TD? Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  16. I suspect that you are never going to want me to give feedback again after this! Lol. Kidney plate observations: Great to see that you have built the curvature into the buck, can you confirm whether it is there along the vertical access as well? I have a couple of minor observation which I am sure could be corrected by the armour builder but for completeness (and with my perfection head on again): The blunting of the bottom corners of the triangle is more pronounced on the SWCE costume than on your plate, also the base of the triangle is slightly above the line of the side details (green lines). Edit: Having looked at it again ignore the bit about the blunt ends as I think that modifying the level of the base of the triangle will correct that! The other thing is that there seems to be a flat (non-curved) area immediately below the triangle to accommodate the mount for the TD - this one really is being picky as it is easy enough to accommodate this when making the TD mount itself). 17. I have a couple of points on the shoulder Bells It may just be an optical illusion due to the shape of the shoulder bell but the detailing I have circled in red looks to have more of a curve to it on the SWCE costume. Also the two slanted lines are considerable thicker than the pair of vertical ones on the CE costume. I can't really tell whether that is the case with yours? Perfectionist me would say that the pair of vertical lines on your shoulder bell may be a little too far apart, but that would be easily correctable during the armour build process I suspect due to your use of fibreglass Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  18. Welcome and good luck with your build. Great to see another join the ranks Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  19. Backplate looks good. Being really picky the dial greeblie (to the left as you look at it) looks to be a bit small!? This maybe an optical illusion as it is thicker that the SWCE costume, but the dial on the SWCE costume definitely has 16 indents, yours has 13. There are a number of additional details that I have circled in red. One other thing! The have disc below the back box looks to be indented rather than just outlined. Can't really tell whether your's is an outline or indented? The weathering on the SWCE costume is evidence of the indented disc. What are the dimensions of you backplate box? 20. Hi Jim. Looking good mate. Glad to see this one is now progressing A couple of things that hit me straight away with the abdominal plate: The vertical strip which I have circled is not pronounced enough. If you look at the SWCE costume you can see that it is level with the horizontal slates. The other thing is that the plate with the disc on it looks to be a separate piece that has been added afterwards. It also has a slight curve to it. I'll take a look at the rest in more detail later and update you on what I see. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  21. Another small update. Got more snaps! Finished the prototype holster and did a test fit of the partially completed belt. Please excuse the blue masking tape on the blaster!
  22. The work my belt continues. I have been making the canvas pouches and have also created a prototype leather pouch. Work is nearly finished on the prototype holster, just need some more snap fasteners. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  23. They are awesome models mate. Well done. Looking forward to seeing this build develop Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  24. It would be great to find a source of the rubber material. I have sent a fair amount of time trying to locate something with the same profile but so far have not had any luck Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
