  1. Nice trims thus far! Must be so cool to be able to go "in-store" to pick up something like that!
  2. Okay cool! I didn't have the JRS CRL in front of me but I checked and they don't have anything for that, so that makes sense about adding it. I'll see how we can properly word that so that it sounds good.
  3. Personally, I'm in agreement for this for L2. Did you have proposed text for this or is it pulled from the JRS L2?
  4. I'd say these: 11 Silver Metallic for Humbrol or Testors 1146TT, if that is too silvery then a 26 Med Gray Satin for Humbrol. My helmet already came with the silver from Anovos so I didn't have to paint mine, but I think it was really close to a gunmetal gray. @Allan1313, didn't you mix some awhile back?
  5. Chris, first and foremost, congrats on the approval!! Welcome to Spec Ops (make sure to request Spec Ops access ) Second, this series is something awesome to have! I'm going to pin this thread into this forum for future recruits to have easy access to. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
  6. Hello, Berry. That helmet would require a gloss coating to be acceptable, right now it is more of a matte black with nice sheen.
  7. It would be webbing from the top of the chest/back and has a piece that goes out from the shoulders to hold the bicep on. On the shadows we also have either webbing or elastic on both sides of the ab plate and kidney plate to keep them together too.
  8. We want to keep true to the reference images as we can so the rivet is probably going to be a no go. Have you thought about low-profile Velcro or something that would allow them to be able to be moved or hold a bit better? I know that @Blackwatch made mention of the shoulders following something similar to that of the scouts from the shoulder straps. For example, with the the shadow stormtrooper a lot of troopers use a nylon/Velcro "T" strapping way to hold the shoulder bells to the shoulder armor as well as keeping the chest and back plate together.
  9. I agree with what @RAIDER said minus the snap part, as you have provided the evidence that the snaps are there. I think they can remain silver. If you look at the first panel it appears to be the same color as the bracket, which the bracket is silver in the next panel to the right. I also noticed that your cod strap (with snaps) is hanging down as well ...I have that happen all the time. I think we are good to also start drafting the text. I'm really sorry I didn't respond to this expeditiously.
  10. This is awesome to see, thank you!!
  11. I'm tagging @Rat into this post because I know that he recently painted his Crimson boots.
  12. I agree, the main reference for this was solo so that is what we are pushing for when it comes to the CRL. If we were to identify material differences in costumes we could push an entirely different CRL for those purposes. We have been trying to steer away from the assumption with lapses between movies and costumes, as that is what the Legion has been doing as well, as to ensure that stuff maintains as accurate as it is depicted. Although, we don't let that discourage anything as CRLs are 100% evolving and may be altered/corrected/changed at any time. This isn't to say we can revisit this again, healthy discussion on CRLs is highly encouraged.
  13. It really starts feeling real when you can start putting most of it on! Getting there!
  14. Glad to see another WIP thread, they are always a joy to go through!
  15. That extra reinforcement will give you better peace of mind when it comes to trooping, for sure.
  16. 36 should be for the front and 37 should be for the back with Anovos. To verify that they are numbered correctly here are the dimensions: #36 - 18" x .79" x .06" (46cm x 2cm x 1.5mm) #37 - 13.4" x .79" x .06" (34 cm x 2cm x 1.5mm)
  17. You mention one piece, is there a cover strip holding them together or were the seams filled?
  18. Very nice!! Sorry, I've been busy with work lately due to some restructuring. I'm hoping to get back into this one and we can start with the text drafting!
  19. Glad to see a WIP thread get started for this! I await further updates
  20. This update was made to this CRL on 04/25/2021 for the following: Revised the entire CRL to match the structure that of the Novatrooper and Novatrooper Sentinel in both text for common parts, and parts as they differ in color. Added character description. Add the ability to allow for a "slightly weathered" option on all gloss black part of the armor, NOT on the striping "flash". The bullet point on the striping "flash" was moved under the gloss black text. Updated the helmet to allow for tears and traps to be either black (gloss/satin/matte) or dark gray, however, if dark gray is used then there needs to be black vertical lines present. We removed the L2 detail for black tears/traps due to the L1 change. We also moved the holster to optional to match game reference images. Reorganized the optional accessory section.
