  1. I don't have any brush lines on mine, do I..? -iz
  2. Just buy some modeling paint and use a brush to repaint the buttons. -iz
  3. Nothing like a deadline to light a fire! -iz
  4. I'd go with the Rocket launcher, if I could replicate it... it has a source! Otherwise, normal scouts can carry the carbine and DLT-19s, so you could probably slip those into troops. -iz
  5. If you decided to buy the armor, you could probably modify it to meet 501st standards. By painting the ab buttons black, etc. I know nothing about this seller, so I cannot vouch for the quality of his items though. -iz
  6. This is why they say not to use other costumes as a reference for your own. The GMLs are supposed to run all EU costumes by the LMO before approving them, but sometimes that step is skipped and things slip through... That's all GML/LMO business though. Our job here is to make sure you get it right the first time. -iz
  7. Looks nice! Just one thing: Don't wear the pauldron for approval or profile pictures. The only canon ones accepted are plain black. You can probably still troop in it, but you just can't wear it for anything where your appearance has to be "official."
  8. ATA is hard to fit on taller and bigger troopers, that's why I love FX/AM. I'll need to see for myself how well ATA does the ABS pulls. I've never been too impressed with his HIPS pulls. CAP-W on the otherhand can pull HIPS so it's just as sturdy as ABS. (Still praying for the day CAP-W pulls ABS) -iz EDIT: Well, just saw the link and it looks pretty sharp. .080 ABS, so it should be pretty sturdy as well. Hmm...
  9. To use the magic 8-ball line: Our sources say no. There is some debate about silver ab buttons, but we do not have a solid reference for them. Until we find LFL approved artwork for anything else, stick to black. -iz
  10. Nice... How are you coloring the boots? -iz
  11. Good answer... And I didn't even need to ask. -iz
  12. Well if he doesn't, that'll have to be one of "izzi's part swap" specialties! -iz
  13. An LMO from a long time ago require 3 separate references before he would even consider a costume. Our current LMO however just requires good front/back/sides shots. The X-wing comic Weir is from actually gives us this alone, then the toy is a bonus, and he's brought up in the Complete SWE, so there are 3 sources anyway. -iz
  14. Yes, you did that was "Shadow" I was speaking of. He's kind of disappeared. I may have to track hiom down through his garrison. And yes, usually a costume has to be presented but there have been exceptions. i.e. When the Elite Nova was approved it automatically made the Basic Nova an option to be pursued without further discussion. This may have happened with Weir. Yeah, I heard Kev may have been having some difficulty with his GML spouting the "rule of 3" (which doesn't exist). I never saw it presented to the LMO for approval review either. i sent Shadow an email, so hopefully we'll hear back. Why were you looking over the balcony? The cameras were the other way. -iz
  15. Umm... Yes and no? We've never had one approved, but there are enough references for Thomas to consider it. I need to track down Shadow... -iz
  16. Yes! Please do! Remember that we custom fits the armor to us. ALL PARTS of the armor should be fit to look good on us. -iz
  17. Whatever happened with this thread? -iz
  18. I want sanding pictures! -iz
  19. Very nice. Makes me want to upgrade some patterns on my merc armor... It needed upgrades anyway. (Are there helmets bigger than FX, it's feeling a little tight ) -iz
  20. Yeah, the gold on the pauldron should match the gold paint, as it does in the references... or at least be REALLY close. -iz
  21. Always rooms for a Nova in the parade! The Merc would probably did to march with the other Mercs (Assuming they march, or dress down and play spotter) as it's going to be an official "canon" 501st event. It'll be great to have a second Nova! Now if I can gather up the other 3! -iz
  22. Yeah, study up on your armor and watch eBay. I found a legit SC scout kit for around $400... (Actually Wraith found it and let me know about it) -iz
