Hector, That is awesome you were able to get your kit together and able to wear it. It always helps when you can finally put it all on and find the areas that need adjustments. Your build has progressed nicely. When I get a chance in the next couple of days I will take a look at your photos and provide you with some feedback before you are ready to submit for 501st approval. I think I can help with some of your mobility issues and the overall appearance of your kit. There are some things that are not CRL compliant which I will include in my observations and some things that, although not covered in the CRL specifically, are generally followed for overall appearance by the majority of the DT community.

TookBreaker's Death Trooper - COMPLETED

This is exactly what I did, I had originally sized my shins to wear with my Talib's. When I got my Jared's, they were too tight. I cut the inside leather about 1 1/2" and just pulled the foam out from all the panels. It doesn't keep you from achieving Level 2. Keep the pull tab as that is a L2 requirement. -

From the CRL: "D-ring is attached to a shorter strap, similar in appearance and size to the shoulder straps with a smooth trapezoid shape at the top end." Here is what it should look like, if yours is anywhere close you are good to go. If you are asking about the height of the rectangle's surface in relationship to the surface of the triangle, they are the same level across all. -

Most of us who have Jm's kit have put bondo or some kind of "smoothing" material on the inside of the collar tusks and since they are visible, painted them gloss back at least to the point where the neck seal hides the inside of the collar. The screen suit's inside collar is gloss black. By default, if the CRL states "armor is gloss black" "except where annotated" then any visible armor needs to be gloss black. The raise area you see on the inside of my collar is where I installed a tab that slides under the chest piece to keep my collar tusks flush against the front armor. -

Here are a couple of photos for reference: If you are using MCM's NSM design, there is a piece on the black that fits into the Anovos and most other helmet's side trap's indentation. so when it is worn with an Anovos helmet (My set up is this way) it sits slightly higher The Anovos "Specialist" helmet NSM sits about where you have yours Promo shot has it somewhere between mine and the Anovos photo Both the screen used suit at Celebrations and Victor's suit have the front top rectangle detail above the brow's matte black/rubber stripe. Basically any of these locations are acceptable. -

It's a little low. I've got a few pictures of the screen suits, let me get to them later today and I'll post them. -

Well after an epic failure of my printer and a successful contribution to the birds for a nest, I was able to finish printing, UV resin smooth, and paint all the finger joints. I printed and UV resin smoothed the back hand plate pieces, I will paint these tonight after they dry from washing away any dust and debris. The palm plates are printing now, so hopefully by the end of this weekend I will have at least one hand assembled, then I can move on to sizing the wrist joint and forearm attachment. I think I am going to make all the wrist and elbow joints quick disconnects, I haven't quite figured that out yet, but I am leaning towards neodymium magnets with "pins" to help with lateral shearing. -

Outstanding! -
Straight from the CRL: Yes Sir, matte black is an option, just make sure all the armor pieces are the same paint sheen, best of luck with your builds! Great to see couples enjoying the darker side of the Dark Side! Special Notes: The armor is gloss, semi-gloss, satin or matte black. Armor is made from one of these (or similar) types of materials: Fiberglass ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene).

There is no specific color, most either paint them and their magazines either satin black or flat/matte black.

You're welcome

All gloss black

I think the hands are done. I have printed a few test pieces and assembled them. They are designed to be worn/attached to a pair of black nomex pilot's gloves. I'm working on the wrist joint and a piece that will connect the wrist with the hands. Not quite there with it yet. Take a look and criticize the heck out of the hands please. I am using screen shot CG'd hands as references and not the Mandalorian Exhibition stunt hands, so please don't reference any of those photos. -
Idea on AmmoBelt on Knee of Shadow Trooper
Chaos replied to Duriel's topic in Miscellaneous Tips and Tricks
use the CRL photo as your example, it should be parallel to he ground, so yeah straight out. -
I made this for another Trooper as reference. It is a simple "how to" for a similar strapping system to what I use with my DT. This only covers strapping for the thighs and abdomen and lower back plate. If anyone has any questions please let me know. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2wtwpwwrhho797m/Making a strapping system.pdf?dl=0

Send this guy a message, he might be able to hook you up with the sniper greeblie https://www.etsy.com/listing/500795627/rogue-1-death-trooper-armour

You posted a photo of the thigh rectangular box greeblies with your grenade and lower chest side buckles. The triangular sniper knee piece is available on a set of free DT files I have seen somewhere, I'll try and find it.

This is the only requirement for the CRL: Shall be rubber or a smooth semi-gloss black material with sewn ribs. Horizontal ribs approximately 3/16" to 1/4" (5-6mm) wide. Its all up to how your Garrison GML interprets the CRL. Show the fabric to him/her and see what is said. The fabric will not be Level 2 approvable however, these spandex type materials don't meet the Level 2 "and must continue to show sewn ribs when the gaskets are bent." requirement because when the fabric is stretched, the raised ribbing flatten outs.

Damn! I have got to get me a resin printer. All the sanding of my Mando Dark Trooper is tedious. -
@Talltrooper Stuart, Jim makes a "Tall" kit for people over 6' the shins, thighs, and forearms are longer. He will ask you for your body measurements and then put you a size appropriate kit together.
