  1. thanks Kevin thats comprehensive and very helpful. Im going to write it to permit the strap at L1. For the black stripe, ill add that too as an option, and the way we write it, it may go into the optional items along with blasters. When we work our way down to the shin armor, i will circle back to this and quote it . Change Log 1.1 change log 1.1 Shoulder Armor One on each shoulder The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. and may have a black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. Webbing or velcro is permitted to keep the shoulder armor in place. Shoulder armor is may be held up with a strap mounted under the shoulder bridge. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There is no swoop on the shoulder bell raised area. There is no elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. Change Log 1.1 Bicep Armor Biceps are a split design, joined in the front. A slim gap may be present at the back. of the bicep. There is a left and a right side. They are not interchangeable. Bicep cover strips are raised and beveled with an added strip layer on top. Biceps may be held to the shoulder armor with black elastic. Biceps are painted to match the armor. and helmet.
  2. Looks like a Uncle Mike sling assembly, but otherwise this is just simply brillyunt!
  3. wondering what both of these are the bung in the magwell looks like a caged service light assembly I see in the back of the aircraft i work on, they are like miniaure versions of those fancy lights you see for decks at home depot. Curious about the disc.....
  4. if we allow for scaling that will partiall solve or at least partially alleviate the issue Nichole is having with vertical spacing on the components.
  5. any updates or discussion on this? Id like to clear and lock.
  6. any commentary or input ? if not we will package this up and move on.
  7. oh ok, yeah basicilly we have not got to it yet. Once Staff is ready to adress it we will start a new topic.
  8. Shoulder and Bicep proposed text with changes noted in red srikethrough, green and amber alteration change log 1.0 Shoulder Armor One on each shoulder The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. and may have a black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. webbing or velcro is permitted to keep the shoulder armor in place. 9. thnaks Kevin good luck at SDCC my eyes are getting older and relying entirely on screen grabs I never noted the difference in the hose connectors. @Tal Skirata referencing the images it looks like Gharian and Heert both have 2 inch black velcro holding front to back, thas also how my Jim Tripon armor came. So this is not velcro holding the front to the back? we have an eleastic web going up to the front from the back? what holds the front in place to keep it from flopping?
  10. Here is the proposal for the overbelt, straight from the published CRL: I see no glaring issues with only one change: Over Belt The Over Belt consists of 5 gloss black boxes made of ABS or similar plastic, mounted to a leather or leather like waist strap which closes under the thermal detonator. The waist strap is approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide. The over belt is worn around the under belt, so that the top third of the under belt shows above the over-belt. There are special-shaped boxes on left and right of the 3 central boxes which are horizontal in position as seen in reference photos. A total of 8 rivets are present with 2 rivets mounted vertically on the left and right at the edge of the special-shaped boxes. Hanging from the right side of the belt is a hip box made out of hard material. This is connected to the belt by 1.5" (40mm) wide black leather or leather-like straps. The strap is and as long as necessary to allow the box to hang on the wearers right hip. For basic L1 approval a standard Scout style hip box may be approved. The strap is attached to the front of the over-belt through a slot on the right side of the central box. The back end of the strap goes behind the under-belt, to the left side of the thermal detonator. The hip box strap has 1.5" (40mm) quick release buckles on the front and back. Each buckle is attached at the mid point of the strap. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The rigid front portion of the outer belt is made from referencing the game's 3D model and scaled to the wearer. The box is smaller than a typical scout box, is curved, the back is closed with a back plate, and features a rectangular depression near the bottom out facing side of the box. The boxes may be lightly stained or weathered. Silver is not permitted.
  11. i dont know of too many files and ive seen things float across on thingverse, but im back to working 20 hour days, i have not had time or engery to download and print all those files just to see how they look. 😕
  12. https://forum.specops501st.com/forum/232-imperial-security-bureau/ here is the Season 2 Tactical Agent discussion.
  13. yes we are still waiting. my day here is pretty doggone crazy and ive been offline for a week. can someone round up the proposals and consolidate them in the next post? we ahve been all over the place since 2023 on this, and we need focus.
  14. Matt Tarriff linked it in onoe of his other replies , i have a topic on the forum probably in the Agent thread, and he replied. Its on Thingverse.
  15. Paul we would need a visual proposal, so yes go ahead and start what you feel is the correct orientation based on our discussions here. Just know going it it may or may not be approved for use by the LMO , or parts of it may. Per the box, simpler is better. Once you have your set up worked up give us four view photos so staff can see it.
  16. chest and back armor cleared and locked. regarding the suit, many of us have the black suit already, and we will be re using it. I see no reason to create an all-new set of text to create an all new version of the suit. To me the costume builders on set re-used what they had, and that is how I will write the text. Ultimately, as we continue to create these CRLs, the LMO has the final say on what is approved text, and we have had to go back and change things with LMO input. Regrding seam hight, anyone who served in the US military in the 80s and wore BDUs knows that the blouse will fall to different hieghts on different people depending on build. My blouse falls to the top of my thigh but someone just an inch and a half taller than me wearing the same size blouse will have it appear to fall higher becaues they are taller. When we wrote "just to mid thigh" that means it will not go lower but higher IS permitted-based on all the discussion from S1 on both the green and black unforms, input from he people wearing them on set, staff discussion and what the the LMO ultimately agreed on. Shoulder armor and biceps are next, copied from the Security trooper CRL with prooposed changes: Change log 1.0 Shoulder armor: I may be wrong on this, but are these just common R1 stormtrooper shoulderbells? I dont see the grooves present on the regular Security or Alhani or Mudtrooper shoulders. I see no shoulder strap around the arm like Tks have. The whole shoulder armor just seems to flop about, and do whatever it wants mostly moving back on the arm when worn and on top of the Supervisor Heert's tunic it rides up and floats. So if these are just R1 shoulderbells we would suitabley alter our text to: Shoulder Armor Rogue One style stormtrooper shoulder armor. The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. Shoulders are mounted to the shoulder strap via a 1" (25.4mm) up to 2" (50.8mm) webbing strap. A black elasic strap is permitted to help hold the armor in place. Biceps — Version One For basic approval a one-piece bicep is permitted. The bicep may appear “open” or split as seen on screen. Cover strips will appear on the front and back, covering joints if present. Bicep cover strips are raised and beveled with an added strip inset into the top of the bevel. Cover strips may be as deep as ½" (12.7mm) and up to ⅞" (23.5mm) in width, beveled on all four sides. Biceps are painted to match the armor and helmet. and shins. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Biceps are a two-piece design with the halves held together with hidden flexible cord and shall remain flexible. I had my doubts regarding the two piece design until i noted that Sgt Gharials' biceps are clearly split and moving apart. I think the bicep the poor trooper that Kleya went beast mode on was probably a one piece design.
  17. i have Jims armor and I have a metric frakton of Walts plastic. The flexible amor is wierd. It gives. Very handy, but the neck breaks. Tarrif was good enough to model up a replacement neck to be 3d printed in flexible material like TPU for us. ill be using the Jim armor for my own ISB build. Walt uses a top quality plastic. Gorgeous plastic. Now te edges of his molds where the mold meets the parting line, that gets a bit waffly, but as I said I have a LOT of Walts plastic, so I just work around it knowing that the edges need to be sorted out with care when cutting.
  18. Very well reasoned Paul , its apprecated. im going to err on the side of Caution (and knowing how the LMOs approach what we do NOT see in references) and say the left name tape with a simple MEDIC in black or even blue as pointed out in the Wiki would be likely to recieve LMO blessing. Dropping that pouch can be accmplshed with very heavy fabric and a loop around the belt, with some plastic reinforcment inside it. For the box, less will be more towards acceptance by the LMO. Amazon is even kind enough to offer a pistol case molded in white
  19. yeah those helmets will drop right down on your head for sure Mine all have hard hat liners in them.
  20. So lets talk about the belt. Is there anything further to discuss? Text from the current CRL: Imperial Officer Under Belt The belt is constructed from leather or a leather-like material. A very slight texture is acceptable. Approximately 2" (51mm) in width, up to 3" (76mm) is acceptable. There are no loops or extra holes on the belt. A single large snap or rivet is visible approximately 1" (25mm) from the left side of the buckle. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal, or metal looking material. The buckle size is approximately 2.62" (66mm) high and 4.12" (104mm) wide with 0.5" (13mm) radius rounded corners. Buckle is adorned with an Imperial Code Disk at the center. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Belt is made of non-textured leather. Two parallel grooves run the length of the belt 1/8" (3mm) in from edge. Snap is worn to the left of the wearer 1" (25mm) from the buckle edge. Buckle has a slight horizontal curve.
  21. Hi Chris ive had a chance to review the files and compare to the images that were using to build the CRL, a series of good screengrabs. Likely the same you used. You seem to have the new shin correct. The only thing that catches me and its very minor is the sweep angle of the bicep cut out. It may be the way they rotate when you wear them, and how it was filmed.
  22. Matt I laugh but man, i know the struggle. Sebastian thank you for pulling this file together for us, this is necessary!
  23. Catching up on all the topics. Love the look and the fact its a real castle nut ( we hear castellated nut in the field a lot). Really enjoying watching the progress on this.
  24. thanks for posting that , it brings up a question. I saw Kevin Weir is casting his in something flexible for his kits. And of course differnt boots will be different sizes. When you walk how well do these move with you? Any issues with popping off? Im gonna go out on a ledge and make the assumption you are doing these in PETG, my only concern is the way they are printed the stress may cause seperation along the X axis over time. I figure Ill have to print mine too , but ill print them at an angle.
  25. @Deamos @Diet_Evil I want to say thank you not only for the collaboration and candor with which you guys are tackling this. I know ntohing about creating files, im the guy that buys them then prints. Seeing this work itself out , and seeing the challenges makes for some very interesting reading! Ill be the guy writing the CRL and eventually building Sgt Gharial, so im watching this one closely. Im also pricing MP40s. I would love to find one broke on Ebay! For the side support struts metal flashing or even thin bar stock from the hardware store and socket head screws to mount them would be my frist inclination. Especially if a nut or nut insert could be modeled in for mounting.
