  1. If you go with crow- and I speak from experience on this- do two things 1: When you order, take photos of the measurements you make. I had to remeasure three times an finally send Crow photos of my measurements. 2: when you order, use your FULL COMPLETE LEGAL NAME on the order form. I used my first and last name on the form. He used my first and last name on the shipping document. DHL siezed my stuff, and I spent two weeeks Emailing DHL back and forth trying to determine and get my head wrapped around why I was put on their "terrorism support watch list" and had my boots and gloves held. I wound up sending extremely high quality (the first scan I sent was not good enough) to the DHL case handler. Does this sound super sketch? it sure does. But its posted on the DHL website under a buried FAQ and falls under their 'Incomplete documentation" clause. So- if you order from Crow, make sure to use your full, complete legal name. Buyer beware.
  2. Im curently working with a maker that has been supplying L1 gear. He has started over with new molds and is making it to L2 spec. Its all smaller, the helmet is rounder, and the belt is different. We have had long talks and referenced our CRL discussions a lot. I wrote the CRL with Anton and Maximes input, so here I am three years later ready to put one togther, to L2 spec. Vendors have been loping along making typical scout and R1 gear because there hasnt been a demand for L2 gear. With demand will come change. Talk to your vendors, and let them know you would be willing to buy their gear, when it gets to L2 specification. The informatin , research and discussion (including dimensions) are all readily availabl in the CRL discussion.
  3. heres the art reference picture
  4. Sorry that Im just now seeing this. Slide the buckle off and I glued my strap down so it doesnt flop around and look messy.
  5. Looks like the Iden CRL calls for all black. In game its supposed to be what Crow is selling. Plain black always works.
  6. On first read through nothing jumps out at me immediately. On the ear cap IDG, Is this the plain type like we see on Del? No grooves? For the Balaclava the plain black type will work, or does it need to the be the IDen Versio type with white stitches and ear caps? For those who wish to join the discussion, we will be starting at the top down, and moving piece by piece. I know you want to jump ahead, but please be patient. Clear and lock , then move on.
  7. it would really help if somene can model it.
  8. Thanks Daniel Looking at the details, no screws, the way the bayonet fittings are cut, the indented earcaps ETC I felt this was more a R1 than OT. Now, how it will PRINT....still to be seen.
  9. So this is one file I found. I know there was (at one point) a fellow in Germany that had a file but that seems to have gone by the wayside? Anyway, I think this is just an R1 file with decals added. Im not convinced its game-accurate. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/fashion/inferno-squad-helmet-1-1-scale-tie-pilot
  10. Strongly considering a Del after I wore my freind TI1687's Iden armor yesterday to check fit. The helmet she has is an early Jason, one of the first four, but its wrong. Is there still an accurate IS file available for the helmet? I found some that claim accuracy on Cults but I have my doubts.
  11. hey Andrew good questins First the shoulder armor isnt attached to the arm, its suspended from the shoulder bridges. Actually none of our cotsumes have the shoulder armor attached to the arm with anything more than a strap going under and around. If you take a look at the CRL Disccussion , where we get REAL DEEP into how these costumes are manufactured, youll see the susspenion used on modern-era armor. This is not how it was done in the past. In the past a T strap was made from elastic, but n the modern era TPU is used to make a hangar. Very different, and you see it moving in the Mandalorian Pretorian Guards in indoor lighting its hard to tell color. It may be fine, but we really need to see it outside on a semi cloudy day to know. If its Olive Green your GML will likely approve, and thats honestly a GML question for Basic. We hope that you apply for Specialsit, using the blue highlighted links in the CRL.
  12. when I did mine i used a serger and ran off a bunch of the thread from the serger like when you finish the stitch. I layed it out on wax paper in six rows and put fabric glue on it and let it dry, then I glued it to the back of the glove with more fabric glue, and painted the whole thing. Theres photos in my IAW WIP topic. If you are going for L2 approval Ill recommend taking off the buckles. I know there is an image showing a buckle on one of the pouches, but thats an abberation we are working to fix in the CRL, and there are no buckles present in the source art.
  13. I dont want to hijack Jasons build topic but PLA+ is not as strong or durable as PETG. I dont use it anymore. The pics of the holes look like a printer issue rather than a file issue.
  14. This has been a project worthy of this Detachment. We put a lot of effort into this. Thank you.
  15. you would have to modify the file to do so unless you can print as section. But then it will be a GML call to approve, we had a shore here that tried to do that and it didnt get past the GML. Also make sure you are sizing the armor on top of the coat. I sold my Jimi coat off when I lost all my weight and the coat was thick enough I wore it in winter here. It added a TON of bulk.
  16. I bought some color remover, but now that I think about it I may just save it for my medic trooper. I can dye a regular white suit with iDye for polyester.
  17. I just got a tacsquad suit and it is VERY dark, much darker then yours here. Almost black. Did you lighten it with color remover?
  18. great looking pouch assortment!
  19. Ive lost 150 myself, down to 220, so I am totally there with you. I actually have an IAT suit I need to sell.
  20. Please make sure to take those buckles off. Buckles are not seen in the comics, only straps and round snaps, and the straps are neat if present. Lt Sunburn has a couple of buckles on his strobe and binoc pouches, but that is a totally different CRL. Also, if you plan to add the cog to the pouch, know that it will not pass L2 approval because it is not present in the comic art. You may want to check with your GML to see if the cog decal would pass L1 approval since that would be a local-level decision on something not seen in the source.
  21. just following up here, a 1.6mm wall is four times larger than what I print in generally (.4). That should be heavy as a boulder and solid with that much mateiral being laid down at four walls plus infil. I have my CR10 and N3 max set to 06 and I can run 3 walls with 9or 10% gyroid , its heavy and very stiff. PETG.
  22. I spoke to walt a long time ago abt his set, not sure if his kit will work but it actually is one of the larger kits. I was 370 LBS (26 stone) and never could wear armor, but now my limitiing factor seems to be my ribcage which I guess is kinda big. So I started 3d printing and started printing my own armor to fit me. It was a journey for sure, but it was made to fit.
  23. look for flower paint. I tried fabric spray paint and wasnt too impressed, but you may have better luck than I did
