  1. Jeff, congratulations on starting your TX. There's something cool about black armor. As far as undersuit, UnderArmour works great, but a lot of us save money by buying compression gear from Eastbay.com. Shoulder pauldrons are usually pretty easy to score unless you have a larger neck. I think shoulderpauldrons.com still sells them; Trooperbay.com as well. Trooper1 over at the MEPD has the best ones, but he is pricey. Neck seals: Darman, Ladysewsforus, and TK409 make them. You can get them with velcro or zipper closures in the back. I have velcro on mine because I lack confidence that I can zip behind my neck by myself. Others may have a different opinion on that. Darman over at whitearmor.net is the most affordable and fastest to ship usually. I hope that helps. Please continue to ask questions and godspeed on your build.
  2. Congratulations Steve! You and your CDZ cadet will make us proud.
  3. You're doing great Walt. As you recall I've been watching this from the beginning. Very exciting stuff bro.
  4. Enough with the teasers already Walt How much?
  5. TM does make hero helmets in white.
  6. Those are Republic Commandos I believe.
  7. happened the very next day to me. I love the stuff, but man does it burn when it's working on your skin!
  8. It is far easier, cheaper, and more satisfying to build to the highest standard as opposed to converting later IMHO. You will need: Belt Boots Undersuit Neck seal Optional comm system Elastic Snaps E6000 Clamps X-acto That is a start.
  9. that does smart. It doesn't happen to me on weekly basis though. Honest.
  10. Congratulations Jim! Nice work as always. If I may ask, what adjustments are you making before applying for Specialist?
  11. You'll need access to the FISD for this, but that wouldn't hurt. Pandatrooper has a very nice tutorial for downsizing AM armor to a smaller person.
  12. Nick, I think it's going to be fine. For approval you definitely need the aerators and neck trim of course. I would replace the tube stripes as well. Aside from that, shine it up and call it a day bro.
  13. you're almost there Craig. I'm sure that experience was encouraging. Now finish this guy and get him approved!
  14. Did this get approved Ty? And what is this nova called?
  15. Craig, I did nearly 20 costumes in a year, so I worked fast on all of them. I screwed-up constantly, but I also learned how to fix my mistakes. Knowing how much I turded some of my costumes makes me all that much more proud of the finished products. Hang in there. Take a breath and come back to it. You're actually doing quite well IMHO.
  16. Silver mirror and large. You can cut to size, but you can't stretch.
  17. The return edge looks nice. Of course, the most accurate forearms have no return edge whatsoever on the wrist edge of the forearm. FISD for instance forbids the return edge for Centurion approval.
