  1. Some of the Vader guys use a muscle shirt under their armor to fill it out and more like Prowse. However, with TK-style armor, usually you can trim it back to fit you pretty well. If I recall, you are using AM? That is sized for larger troopers, but you should still be able to size it pretty well without much foam inside. Let's see how it looks on you.
  2. I'm looking forward to seeing how this all fits you.
  3. Superb agenda. Let me know if I can assist on my end.
  4. I've thought about that costume myself. I'll be watching this thread with interest. Oh yeah, like Steve said... go finish your TX.
  5. I admire your work Ty. This is exciting.
  6. I think you are on track now. I personally like the scale and look of the ARC pouch better, but until someone makes a game-sized leather MP40 you have to do what you have to do.
  7. Try contacting Scootch for some replacement parts. He's always quick to deliver, and you can't be more annoying than my constant orders from him.
  8. Definitely trim some more off the forearms. You may still need to pad it as you are so slim, but as it stands you arms are swimming in those shells. DO save yourself the disappointment and get a new belt. As a GML, I wouldn't pass it. Think about how you can keep the shins over the boots. You're starting to look really good in most areas, so keep going!
  9. Riveting is a pain, but at least you don't have to bondo anything for this suit.
  10. That patent leather belt technique is basically what I did on my Shadow. It works great and holds the weight of the blaster quite well. Looking good man.
  11. If it is done like the other scouts, they should butt up against one another and be wrapped with duck cloth.
  12. As I'm the resident Incinerator here, I'll share photos of mine. Wiggleplum sold me his after Mason flaked on building one for me. I'll answer whatever questions you have to the best of my ability. The meter lights up and blinks on the fuel tank. It's a nice touch.
  13. On some of my buckets the trim stays on just fine on its own. Several of mine required a dab of glue in a couple of the tough spots to keep it on. Remember that you will be pulling your helmet on and off all of the time, so you want to make sure the trim doesn't fall off. If you have an awkward area, I say glue it.
  14. I think you will be able to get that S-trim on. What's stopping you currently? What aspects of the helmet are you constructing hero-style? The teeth look stunt and you have 3 screws in the ears whereas hero has two. I'd just go for stunt considering what it looks like so far. Nice start. You got a lot done with that Scootch bucket already.
  15. Kev over at FISD makes drop box backs pretty cheap. He can do them in black if you ask. Otherwise like Doug said, you can make your own. Most kits do not come with the backs. Shadowtrooper more commonly refers to Utapau Shadowtrooper which is a specialty clone. We are either Blackhole Stormtroopers or Shadow Stormtroopers. The cheese grater guards are for one particular variant of Sandtrooper. AM sends them with his black kits too, but there is no real use for them in black. You must have a 501st designation before applying for Specialist. I'm pleased that you are building toward Specialist from the start. Are you using the AM helmet, or are you replacing that?
