Thanks! Yep that is my next on my list. I am still working on gettin gthe riding patches to look how I want them then off to the soles of the boots. Might get some time over this weekend to knock it out.

Here are some close ups of the finished boots. Never mind the polish on them. Its pledge that I use to restore the oils into the vinyl after they have been heated and stretched so much I think that they will even stand upright with the holster and pistol. I shall see

Still no word on my armor being shipped, but thanks to Griffin-X I have a helmet that will be here tomorrow!! Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen

I was working on a few parts today as well. Weir stuff, painting and cutting. I have the rest of my kit being made. I am going to assume that if I dont hear about it being shipped by tomorrow, it will be after Dragon*Con. I miust have missed it in your thread, but what kit are you building?

I am sure this will be something in the future for me. But right now I am going to shift my focus to my Shadow Scout and General Weir. But when I get back on this, I might go Nova!

Alrighty, I received some stickers today for the helmet. With it I also got some reflective lens material. I am now wondering how I would attach the lens material to the lens itself when I receive it from SC. Any suggestions? I am trying to stay away from doing a green or black lens, as the other shadow scouts in my garrison have green, and I want to stand out When I do my Weir helmet, I may go with the reflective red for that as well

I got the belt and biceps today for my Weir build. Thank you Griffin-X, my buckets off to you! Going to do some painting and trimming on them tomorrow. Ill post my build progress for these parts here, but the majority of the build will be in my Shadow Scout thread. Next up is to find another helmet, or order another one from SC when he is back from Dragon*Con. As well as start my bandoliers. In general, seems that making the boxes from wood is the approach I have seen. Any thoughts?

Started on my bund today. Got everything cut out and ready to sew. Question, I do not have my chest armor yet, but how far up should the bund go? Question 2, do I need to sew the main part of the bund to not show stich lines, other than the ribs?

As I am finishing up my shadow scout and getting 501st approved, I thought I would start this, as its the next step in my obsession! I am going to maintain both Weir and my scout, so I am going to have 2 helmets, biceps, and belts. I have a couple questions before I start really getting into this, just so I don't buy something I don't need. First up, what is a good red to use for the belt detail and t-bits? I was thinking of just a basic red spray paint, but is there something better? Next I had a question about the CRL. It has a neck seal listed at required. But on the biker scout and shadow scout they are not. Could I get away without one? Last, there is no specialist status on Weir at this time correct? Thanks, Jason
