  1. Thanks, Steve. I am working on putting the updated CRL and photos all together and organized.
  2. If you are up for updating the crl text, highlighting changes with supporting references, I am happy to review it and discuss.
  3. Agree with Toddo, and if you take anything off the teeth, this is an ever soslight change, so just dont over do it
  4. You can make an approvable blaster with the hasbro and a doopy doos kit. The one thing thatthat stood out to me on the one linked is the lack of wires.
  5. Good choice on the duct tape . Dan's right, gotta be black or dark gray
  6. Eric is going to be coming here and providing additional feedback on the CRL so we can get it completed and approved.
  7. That would be awesome! I wonder if low poundage compressed air might be better from a weight standpoint, but this also would be amazing to see if you can figure out the wearability logistics.
  8. I'd also pay attention to how you are trying to bond it back. What I mean by that is usually get a crack because you have a major stress point, so if you just put the armor back where it was before the crack, it will likely just crack again. If you can leave a little gap you will fill and refinish to the spot, there will be less stress on it. If the belt overall still looks the same, then it won't be a problem for how the armor looks. Hope I am explaining this well enough.
  9. Hey Kevin, is this just for display purposes? are you on the clonetrooper detachment?
  10. Jason, do you have the photos in a photobucket (or similar) account that I can look at them all?
  11. Wow, that is looking awesome already! Some people have the patience to truly create. I love it!
  12. me likes! Can't wait to see it cleaned up
  13. Awesome. Pretty sure I also saw this at Celebration. Will have to get a pic next time!
  14. Great progress! It is going to be cool to look back on these earlier picks once it is all prettied up.
  15. Figures can be good for an initial foundation, but if there is art plus a similar trooper already in existence, that will typically win out on the CRL for the armor in question. As far as the new magma trooper and with any other new to the legion, there are places where the armor often seem to logically fit, but troopers worked on bring the armor to the legion in another detachment that can make a reasonable argument for placement. If someone works on this trooper, we can make the fight to have Spec Ops be its home. If we've got someone ready to take it on, I can even add an area for it for build progress and CRL development.
  16. Ya, they'll need to be deitched out. The battlefront one would be a separate costume if it is allowed in the future.
  17. Yes, we have additional photos to edit. The crl can technically go up without them, but are working on them and plan to have them when it is posted.
  18. Ya, a paste usually will let you finish it off better than abls cement. Ive only ever had to do this once, but when I did, I used both. I filled in a crack with paste and applied a layer to the back. I then applied abs cement to the back with another cover strip to firm it up.
  19. I did that with a bucket once. Came out awesome!
  20. Well need to edit these up, but they aren't a submission requirement to my knowledge.
  21. That was going to be my suggestion as well. Use spare abs from the armor, make a paste using abs glue, apply it to the crack as a fill (especially on the back side). Refinish the front. Then hope and pray.
  22. And nice assemble job. Looks so clean!
