  1. Ah, those were fun days. on my Blackhole I used clamps through the lens holes, but make sure to pad them. I am sure someone that built a scout will be able to provide more exact advice.
  2. Can I borrow that permanently? Wow, that is just looking amazing!
  3. Like I said, from the iPad...thanks boss!
  4. From what i can see on the iPad looks awesome!
  5. I have never seen it so consistently. Cracking a chest plate or one other piece, I have seen, and usually the reason is obvious and itsin a high strees place. On this one I am seeing it in both places I would expect it and places I am surprised about. Really unusually.
  6. I would definitely contact him and show him what's happening. He is usually a pretty stand-up guy.
  7. Looks like you took my WIP advice before I even made it Looking good so far. Taping it on is a great way to get an idea of fit. Highly recommend it. The suit fits you really well. Keep at it; from the looks of things, you will have this done in no time.
  8. Work is a good thing, helps us support this wonderful hobby. I am sure you will get it sorted in no time.
  9. Things look pretty good so far. The gray on the frown looks great. The ear trim looks good and has a great contour. The Vodocer should be painting on each round, so the edge doesn't run together as much. Take a look at this image from the CRL for reference: Do I think it will hold up your approval? Likely, not; just one of those little details.
  10. Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. Honestly, I have not seen so many cracks in armor before. It makes me wonder if the pull was a little brittle. Not the same kit, but I clam-shell my thighs and that means I am pulling them apart and squeezing them back together all the time with no cracks or pressure marks. Anyway, I think you are going about it the right way as far as fixing. Your armor, after approval, will still be a constant project, so hang in there.
  11. Nicely done. Always great to see multiple spec ops together.
  12. Torri, looks like you might be able to take a little off the top of the ab/kindey. We have a habit of tightening things up, but not always messing with the proportions. One reason is it can be scary. I know it. I like that you separated the butt plate, but it can be a little hard to get to stay seated right. The best method I have found is using snap strips that run horizontal with the seam, where as most do a few vertical strips. Shortening up the top of the ab kidney, will help with this too.
  13. Wow, this things is coming along. When you set your mind to it, it becomes reality. Nice work!
  14. Those Pep guys always impress me . One of these days I will be able to invest some time in using pep and get those skills down. Needless to say, that bucket from pep is looking pretty great. I am curious, how tall are you planning on making this guy?
  15. Welcome George. We'll help anyway we can. As others have mentioned, looking through some completed work-in-progress threads are going to help you tremendously, but as particular issues arise, just let us know.
  16. That would be awesome in a dark room
  17. I was going to add, the back actually looks a little low. It could be trimmed up a bit to bring it a bit higher, but nothing that would majorly hold up approval. Nice work!
  18. Looking good, my friend. Glad to see one of these tutorials over here at spec ops. I think this will be very useful to our troopers. I still need to cut my cod.
  19. Looks very similar to the one I have in black.
