Star Wars Battlefront... New trooper?

I don't know all of the "politics" behind placing CRLs or about what happened w/ the Shoretrooper...BUT...what I do know is that regardless of where it's placed, it's for the greater good of the Legion and at the end of the day it's just a costume (#firstworldproblems). Nothing to get bent over. That being said, I would say Spec Ops has a very strong case for it so why not have some fun and give it a shot. It's named by the game itself as Special Forces...authors of the campaign mode have written other specifically named Spec Ops stories. From my limited perspective, it would seem that the "look" of a costume doesn't/shouldn't dictate it's placement...more of it's purpose and place in the SW Universe. I liken it to Shadow TKs not being in the FISD as well as Shadow/Swamp Scouts not being in Pathfinders (and there are 2 clone trooper CRLs in Pathfinders as well so even that crosses over)...the "look" just doesn't seem like the driving factor. It would be cool to have more Disney canon gear in here. Worst case they say no and we move on. But hey...that's just my 2 cents. Either way, my Battlefront gaming squad and I are eyeing it. -
Imperials Special Forces [Star Wars Battlefront 2]

myself and a couple of buddies who all play together all the time are considering doing this. il not much of a crl person but did want to express interest for sure -
Looks cool to me. I have a pauldron as well (for my TK which I've never trooped in lol). No ammo pack tho : (

Just curious lol. For troops..tis true. Rarely an issue if ever. Go for it Larry!!!

In Florida, we do a ton of events (I live between Orlando and Tampa and we are stacked all year). I've never been turned down for an event. There are rare instances where requests are limited to TKs, Vader, Boba, etc. but those are few and far between (weddings, super special LFL events/promos) and some instances where they want just movie canon...again...those don't pop up very often. Steve...please elaborate on Shadow Scouts as canon I know we aren't movie canon...we currently fall under the "Legends" category (aka pre-Disney) correct? I scour every Disney produced comic hoping we pop up (I think we made it on a cover lol...Darth Vader issue #3...yes I have this memorized )

Gratz!!!

I'm not sure on the grey ones being acceptable but Trooperbay has a set specific for Shadows...as Griffin said...they'll be in black. You'll use everything in the set they send except for the fishhook. Chin strap...optional. You won't need it for approval or Specialist level certification.

Considering tackling a 2nd pair of boots on my own...what should I be looking for in a base boot? Any recommended ones? Thanks!

So I did a bunch of troops...several outdoors in the Florida heat...and it looks like the glue couldn't keep up w/ my activity. Check out the pics below. I tried regluing w/ black e6000 but couldn't get the clamps to hold. Any idea on how to fix these? Is that gap a natural occurrence and nothing to worry about or would I need to peel that strip off altogether and reattach? Thanks for the input to this noob as always!

I'm horrible at that....even with my own family lol. I'll take a pic today since I need to apply the paint...I think it looks a tad rough but it'll get me through till my new one comes in.

The ABS cement worked pretty good (so far). Found some black Oatey cement. It's holding up much better than the bondo, CA, e6000 or anything else I tried did. Now to see how it holds up in trooping. Thanks for the suggestion squad!!!

Yea they are cool. May have a use for this Anovos kit yet! Apparently they come out in Star Wars #21 (which should be out in July...I get a monthly sub via Marvel). Based off of this unfinished Clone Wars episode (which is pretty interesting)...check it out... http://www.starwars.com/video/the-bad-batch-star-wars-the-clone-wars-story-reel

Thx mucho all! I'm going to try the cement this week. Sand out all the bondo and glue I've used. Will update.

Noob I am (in Yoda voice). ABS cement is purchased or made? If made, how do I make it? Thx guys!

Thanks gents!!! Simple build really. Scope is 4 pieces. Stock to body was pre-assembled. Top barrel was one pre-assembled piece that just slides into body. Main barrel is made of 3 joints...both end joints were pre-assembled w/ inner barrel...center barrel was inner and outer piece. All in all took maybe an hour to put together waiting for CA and putty to dry. Minor sanding. I'll put up the final painted version when it's done (hopefully today). If I don't like it, I have a former student who offered to give it a car body paint job.

Hey all...need suggestions on repairing a pretty bad crack in my belt. No pics because Ive tied to fix it and need it to survive some troops this weekend. Ive tried bondo, putty, e6000, CA. Let all sit enough as well. Nothing keeps the crack sealed. Crack sits at top of the belt at the seam of the buckle box and runs down the seam to just under the buckle. Help!!! Lol
