Progress! Everything is all sorted out for Pepakura and printed off! And everything is all cut out! Next step glue it together, then resin, then pour some plaster to sculpt! Fivezero

More football progress! Found the rare red-spotted Shadowtrooper while out on an expedition yesterday... Sanded down all that putty. And today finally cut the indent for the mic tips for this guy. Decided to go against getting them 3D printed, found these little button things at the hardware store this morning, should work great! And also ordered the 3D printed ear piece to then mold and cast for helmets. Should be here next week! Have a little more filling to do in some spots and then get the chin sorted out and then some primer, sanding, more primer, more sanding then molding and casting!! Almost there! Fivezero

Welp, my GML just emailed saying he's getting everything ready to go this week for submission. Here we go again, hoping for a quick approval on this guy! Fivezero

Eventually this big thing will get back on the workbench, actually made up a plaster sculpt awhile ago... It's pretty low on the list, but I hope to get back to it by the end of the summer. Fivezero

Oh you... Nah, if someone else wants to try out the "Camo" EVO feel free. I already have one, don't want another quite yet (too many other troopers to make). As for the Jumptrooper, it's been on the radar, but since it's similar to the EVO (same parts with some other details and other parts) it's been kinda at the bottom of the future trooper list (i.e. all yours Torri!). Back to the Aquatic Assault Trooper, still doing a few edits to the faceplate. For fun I threw the model into Pep. to see what nightmare awaits me. Not too bad but every blue line is a cut I have to make/line to glue together. It's ugly and not very organized, going to take awhile to manually organize all that mess. Fivezero

Nope, I had some other, more interesting projects (EVO and TFU Shadow) that kinda killed my interest in this guy unfortunately. And I keep finding other troopers I really want to do. I may pick it back up one day, but for now it's dead.

One is an alternate EVO coloring and the other is the Jumptrooper from the Force Unleashed. The Jumptrooper is basically a modified EVO with a jetpack.

Yeah I just took a look, my book was written in 1997. Jedi Outcast didn't come out until 2002. So it's probably in the "New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology" which came out in 2004. Just make sure you get the "NEW" version if you get it.

Yeah, I just took another good look at my references, and I've been using the WEG pictures exclusively. I for some reason thought a couple of them weren't WEG pictures. I glossed over the other pictures since there aren't full 360 pics of those particular suits. Thanks for pointing that out Chef!

Yeah I agree that Fierfek's 3D model will definitely need some tweaking to get right but it should provide a good base for you to start out with. Keep the suit consistent with the pictures and you'll be fine. And on that note, I'd definitely go with gray for the color. When you submit this to the LMO for approval, you'll need to send along your reference images for the trooper. Your suit needs to match everything in the pictures (including color). So I say keep it gray! Fivezero

Hey, didn't find anything in my book. It's the old version from a long time ago. It might be in the new, updated version of the book though.

I'd go for the Dark Forces version. It's the original and Fierfek's 3D model is very close to it. The model is going to be a higher resolution than the Empire at War version and much easier to finish off and look good in the end. I think it looks better too and in case I didn't mention it's the original source... How do you intend to build the suit? Completely from scratch? Pepakura? Oh and there's also this uglier version from Star Wars: Galaxies: Fivezero

Going to be a fun project for you! You could also go for the original from Dark Forces too. It seems to be what that third link you have posted is modeled from. Looks very, very Star Wars Galaxies: Trading Card Game to me. Just looked around and it comes from the "Oppressor Flamethrower" Card from the Threat of the Conqueror expansion. Fivezero

Oh you guys... Ain't nothing special about me, just a guy that loves weird troopers. Thanks for the compliments as always, you guys are awesome too! And I agree Steve, it will be very tight and claustrophobic in there. Once I get a mold and casting made up, I'll send it to you to make sure it fits before you send $$$. It "should" fit you, the little foam mold fit my head, but you never know... And I'll gladly help you work through the armor (that's gonna be a fun one)!!! Fivezero

Yeah, I'm using a bit of everything from the photos along with some of the photos from Tachyon's build for reference. There's still going to be some changes made to the helmet. I've already had to squish the helmet in a bit since it was too wide in my initial modelling. There will be more changes and fine tuning once the physical sculpt starts. The whole face of the helmet is really just kinda placeholder for me to sculpt and mess with in real life. Can't wait to see how your helmet progresses as well!! Fivezero
