  7. Alright, back at it! (Sort of) So I finished gluing the biceps together One thing I did find was that they make them long and thin, so I had to take a heat gun to them and round them out a bit. Left is a normal one, right is one after it's been heated and shaped. Got a package in the mail! Time to drool... Had to sell some things, but decided to upgrade. Now I lust need to look at what it would take to make it a full DLT-19. And for the next post... I decided to experiment with figuring out how the Det can have better boots for relatively cheap. 1st You take some TKboots that cost around $60 shipped. Then you take these: Left is an automobile vinyl upholstery paint, right is a vinyl prep, together these things cost about $25. Cool thing is that you can probably get at least 3 sets of boots out of them. Spray with the vinyl prep and wipe down then quickly rinse off with water. Then spray a coat of paint and let it sit for 30. They add a second coat of paint and let it rest overnight. Final outcome looks like this: They get the trooping test this weekend, so I wouldn't run out and paint your own just yet. I'll let you all know how they hold up! -iz
  8. ME! My comic shops suck! -iz
  9. Those look like storm commandos! We may finally have 360 shots not based off a toy. -iz

  15. There's a short Introduction posted at the top of the CRL: It does need some new changes though, as the novel Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor furthered the storyline.
  16. Yeah, the Blackhole is a very intimidating looking set of armor. Welcome aboard!
  17. Definitely, read up on some things. And unfortunately the term shadow trooper is used for multiple units. Which one would you like to be? -iz

  21. Posting this up now so I won't forget to later. The weather is getting nice and it soon will be painting season before the dust starts to blow around again. I'm also at the point in building where I have things rimed and can start matching things up, taping things off, etc. This thread will (Hopefully) show you how to take an AM Blackhole Trooper kit and be able to switch back and forth between the Blackhole and Novatrooper. If you want to know how to build a full set of AM armor you will be able to find it here when I'm done: http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/178-izzis-am-armor-build/ This is just how to build the Nova Parts to add on. What you will need: Blackhole: AM Black Armor set: Novatrooper: Helmet (Stunt Preferred) Shoulder Bells Biceps Forearms Handplates Kneeplate Sheet of Scrap Plastic Novatrooper Elite: Helmet (Hero Preferred) Backpack Pauldron More to come later, -iz
