  1. its clearly different and doesnt pertain here. Im anxiouis to see a first suit built up for inclusion on this topic so we can compare what we have in text to what we see in clear well lighted photos.
  2. Good deal. Im going to trim a bit off the bottom of my helmet skirt.
  3. The tan color on these suits really stands out. Thanks for posting. Overallthis was a VERY easy conversion. The officer collar took some figuring out.
  4. its bumping my backpack. I think I may trim a half inch off of it around the skirt bottom.
  5. i just went looking for the two grooves in the regular belt discriptions. it used to be in there, now none thatI can find have it. Oh well, well just add it in here!
  6. Pretty typical of a lot of officer and crewmen belts. I can add that to the description when I get home.
  7. I'm not building one but considering all the photos we've looked at to me it's either going to be a constructed item or very heavy duty pants like from Duluth Trading Company but having that reinforced knee
  8. HEY EVERYBODY I know there was a lot of initial interest in this. and I think a few have been approved using the proposal. What do we need to do to finish this up and get this CRL posted to the Det CRL page?
  9. got my helmet completed today and the goggles were finished earlier this week. I made hearing protection, and I mounted a hard hat suspension in my helmet. Po Posting this I realized that I need to get screw cap covers and add them to the helmet. Otherwise it is done.
  10. It seems there is no further input on the goggles at this time. I think that with the various Uvex brands we have ordered and received, we can post photos for reference and discussion. I also got a couple of pairs of Lancer tacticals that have black frames and shade 5 shields. SO, let us turn our attention to the coveralls. This is a major departure from other officers, both in color and construction. I am not sure that there is anything else like it in the 501st. Tan Imperial Army Jumpsuit One piece tan coverall / jumpsuit / flightsuit with a hidden front zipper and standing collar. The standing collar has square corners. Collar closes snugly and includes a modesty panel behind closure. Chest pockets may be present if completely hidden by armor. 2 large cargo pockets sit on the outside of the legs from around mid-thigh and not extending past top of the knee, with a rectangular or chevron flap covering the top. Sleeves are bare without pockets or patches No pockets on, or below the knees. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Jumpsuit chest has a right panel that extends from the side seam to 3" past the center point. The panel closes with a loop and button closure at the bottom about 2" above the waist. I would like to point out a change that should be made here: Jumpsuit chest has a right panel that extends from the side seam to 3" past the center point. this should read that the jumpsuit chest has a LEFT panel that extends from the side seam. It overlaps from the left, crossing the zipper and buttons on wearer's right. I have my made this modification to mine, along with all other mods above. Overall, this all cotton suit is EXTREMELY comfortable, and the majority of my 501st uniforms are coverall based. I know @wrendevu is working on hers as well. Can you post your coverall photo so we can compare?
  11. got to this point today. this is my Snowtrooper breastplate, im ordering another breastplate from Scootch when I get paid. all mods to the coveralls are done. This photo was taken prior to coverall completion. High Mandarin collar with modesty panel. lower belly panel with button and loop closure thigh pockets with pointed chevron flaps per art butt pockets removed
  12. ahh OK. ive got some work to do today on figuring out how to attach my explosive to the backpack, and I want to get some more work done on the Army trooper. Im getting close on that one. I spent my money on this paycheck, so the boots are going to have to wait until next paycheck.
  13. dang I didnt see this. you can get the Action Back coveralls from Automotive workwear, model CT-10, or black dickies coveralls, whichever a person prefers. If you are bigger, you want the CT10s.
  14. are the hooks at the top of your suspenders how your pack will attach?
  15. it appears that if i look at it on my phone, it did not work but it did work via my PC
  16. Ive worked another set of 14 hour shifts so I wasnt really around to do much at the end of the week. After the drive home, im getting up just a few hours later to get back to work. i have read through the edits suggested. im headed back out, but Ill be back tonight and I can make the suggested edits at that time.
  17. Ill give it another read through when I get home
  18. OK, so last night I started to mod the coveralls. i got the collar figured out, but its not on yet. I did put on the lower slab of fabric that covers the zipper above the waist line, and added a button loop. Ill put the button, collar and leg pockets on this week. I found matching fabric at the thrift shop: There are plenty of used Dickies kids school uniforms here, and girls skirts are a single slab of unstitched fabric. I carried a back pocket that I removed into the store with me and color matched. I got lucky! My goggles are set up. I made two straps to replace the original welding goggle strap. I made a black strap and a tan strap. I think the tans gonna look HAWT against the grey helmet. This is the same goggle previously approved for the ATAT commander. A very good looking goggle is the Uvex Ultra Vision goggle, if you can find it online. my goggles, black strap I made.
