  1. @Toda Todd its a gas mask pouch, with all the velcro taken off and added two snaps painted black. Its held on with black zipties. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Condor-Modular-Gas-Mask-Pouch-Black-MA11-002-MOLLE-PALS/331581643684?epid=9013992227&hash=item4d33ce5ba4:g:WRgAAOSwcUBYL3yM:sc:USPSFirstClass!70706!US!-1:rk:3:pf:0
  2. i really love well illustrated WIP topics. Well done. Your magnet solution is exactly what we are thinking of doing to Royal Manticoran Marine skinsuit armor backplates.
  3. OK everyone, sorry but I got sent TDY to Chicago for a week again, with zero notice, AGAIN, and this looks like it will be the new reality of keeping our jobs. getting to the topic at hand, we have the Greeblie , which may just be artist interpretation, and not supported by the other two supporting illustrations. The Straps are smooth in all three source art pieces. This is a point that needs to be nailed out and confirmed with the LMO. The color of the squares is up for debate as well. The Greeblie shown on Veers is cool and all, but Im not necesarily for making it a requirement since its only seen on one art. @wrendevu have you had any updates? @Raider thoughts or input on what the three topics at hand are?
  4. Ok--back from Chicago again. This back and forth zero-notice-go-home-and-pack-for-a-week carp is getting old. But now Im back---but Im washing all my clothes and repacking my GO bag in case I get sent out again this week. I would like to change the title of this discussion to "sapper" going forward. I am anxious to see how the pack looks as well. Im continuing to do events in my Engineer as Im able.
  5. Theres several makers including MonCal, Tambo and we made our own mold for laying up fiberglass. I THINK either Pilotbay Gary Howe or DH-P F/ X makes them.
  6. Once I started to add more pouches like the started to add more pouches like the triple magazine passes for the combat engineer, my straps moved all over. The weight really helps.
  7. Do you plan on using the bottom explosive charge? I like my back porch but wonder if the bottom back pouch will collide with the bottom explosive.
  8. Awesome!! Sorry I have not been around to comment lately. I got sent on a no-notice road trip to work on 3 airplanes in Chicago and I just got back yesterday at noon. Working 16 hour shifts takes it out of ya!
  9. I got the pads cleaned off of one glove. On to the next!
  10. When tbe Army trooper CRL was written it was not written as part of the CRL. The LMOvhad signed off on tge verbiage after reviewing the photos. I thought i remembered seeing snap features like that. My Enginee used that loop material with a snap added and stitched into place. However. Since..its not in the CRL at present, it may be warranted as an addition. A Sabre radio pouch will give you the same appearance. When Shane built the first IAT trooper he used off tge shelf unmodified pouches, so it was not written in.
  11. You're right, I was thinking about the Engineer CRL
  12. I just cleaned my boots in alcohol to paint them with the Angelus leather paint.
  13. I got the gloves Neal recommended...they are better gloves and the pad on the back is square band stitched on..
  14. I didnt sand it enough so I need to do some gap filling but thats fine.
  15. Ok, thanks. Itll be a bit before Wren and Krysis can get the armor trimmed and the coveralls modded and tailored to her.
  16. I painted all of my Condor olive drab stuff with the Montana gold olive green so that everything that I have will match. You can move the little nylon Loops up and add snaps for lvl 2
  17. Does anyone have any input? Id like to keep this rolling. Our Armor has arrived from Scooch.
  18. I have run into that issue many times over the years. Finally i had to get my money back on the helmet and take matters into my own hands. It was always " I'll start yours in about two weeks" .
  19. Ok, another update. I worked on making the helmet comm fit the helmet a little better, and its mounted with Go2 glue. I put two rivets in the helmet to serve as anchors to help physically hold it.
  20. Armor plates are on order, my helmet casting is in - hand. This is gonna be AWESOME!
  21. Ill bring you some matching fabric tonight
  22. I have a couple of coats of paint on this now as primer before I lay on the final color coat. I'm going to tape sandpaper to the helmet so I can sand the shape true for a tight fit.
  23. Sounds awesome. I get 100% isopropyl from work , its all we are allowed to clean with, so Im good to go there.
  24. That would work too. On the tan Army officer Wren has to tailor her coveralls down.
