  1. Throw another log on the Spec Ops bonfire! I got my tan dickies coveralls online and they FIT! My wife took this HORRIFIC picture of me but hey, im just armor, helmet and a completed CRL away from being an OFFICER (not that my TIE counts..oh well)
  2. after you CAREFULLY take off the shoulder straps and CAREFULLY (DId I say carefully? ) put one of them on the collar for the tab, you are about done. Money vs work on this coverall.
  3. id give it a roger that. Try that, and give a light spray of the olive acrylics over it. make SURE the shoes are clean as you can get them. I washed my ATST gunner shoes in alcohol, still flaked right off. That was cheap apple barrel acrylics. If you can get some plastic binder or acrlic paint binder, that may help.
  4. ive had thoughts, which can be dangerous. In discussion it has been agreed that this is basically Veers at an earlier stage of his career before we see him in ESB. its been agreed that the armor is the same. I have areas struck out in red based on what I can NOT see which is the antenna, the screw caps and the clips around the top of the skirt. I added that the clips and the screw covers MAY BE added. But what will our position be about the rangefinder? i dont even see it in any of the imperial officer tunic and pants versions that were submitted. Would the clips and the screw covers become a l2 variant?
  5. you aint kidding. it was tough to write and tough to read. I even rewrote parts of it. PLEASE RE READ it and make sure I did not bolo it.
  6. I think that the highlighted yellow is just a carryover from an initial cut/copy/paste edit it happens, especially with this much text. This will kind of get us into rehashing the discussion earlier that got us to this point, but this is not an easy CRL to write. SO, we need to finalize these: Serrated buckle as basic approval item To me the serrated buckle looks like what my dad had in snakebite kits in the late 70s. I think I have only seen those on tourniquets and bite kits. JAFOs post on page 10 says regular troopers had the serrated buckle right behind the goggle. Other closeups show what looks like a triglide. If the serrated buckle is seen on STANDARD troopers, and the triglides are only on the hero helmets, well that presents a conundrum of availability for L1 approval. Shin bend On page 6 of the original proposal there is a photo of the shin from the side , where you can see that only the top of the shin projects out sligtly, like a regular TK or Scarif shore trooper. Tunic collar language we need to clear this up. Thoughts ? Scarf addition This was not discussed in the original CRL proposal, but Darren pointed it out during the final proposal review (dark olive grey green or green military scarf, constrasting with the tunic) . JAFO wrote on page 4 SCARF Mudtroopers are seen to be wearing scarves and at least two types have been sighted so far. Based on onscreen reference, with the addition of personal behind-the-scenes images of a screen used scarf, the most seen scarf appears to be dark grey in colour. They have an open weave similar in look to hessian/burlap, however, the production source states they were very soft to wear. They were approx.. 52in in length. I propose the following be added to the CRL proposal: SCARF A dark olive grey or dark green military style scarf, with an open weave, approximately 52" long is worn around the neck. The color of the scarf should contrast with the tunic. Pants/pockets Areilly said on page 3: Pants: Custom design (Crossman) Used braces/suspenders (Unnamed source, not verified elsewhere) Jafo added the red text to Izzi's original proposal. I looked at the knees, they are definitely reinforced. pants are Black BDU/Work pants with double reinforced thighs. Black cotton pants with double reinforced thighs would be a true description. They do not have pockets or other adornment on the legs. Shall be moderately to heavily weathered.
  7. I think that was an oops. I moved a few things around and intended to make that an L2 requirement that you had suggested a few pages back.
  8. Its been a few days, is there any further discussion on the helmet, in particular The circular rangefinder ring the five clips around the helmet the round screw covers around the helmet rim Id like to get this nailed down before we move on. Proposal from above Helmet Open face helmet consisting of a dome (with rim) and helmet skirt. Helmet is identical to the AT-AT Commander helmet. The helmet is painted a Gray color. A "Rangefinder" is attached to the helmet dome. This is centered to the right side of the dome and aligned to the rim. The rangefinder consists of : Rectangular box about h/l/d 1.85" (47mm), 1.65" (42mm), 0.4" (10.16mm) with a slight bevel and details on. The box is the same color as the helmet. 1 screw cap or cylindrical knob approx. 0.4" (10.16mm) in diameter in the upper left corner. 2 cylindrical pins lined up in the lower left corner of the box. 1 cylindrical pin in the upper right corner of the box. 1 Rangefinder main detail (originally created from a Revell V8 carburetor, but not to be confused with the "Han Solo blaster" piece), aligned at the lower right corner of the box. Ring shaped antenna on top of the box with about 1.5" (38.1mm) in diameter and 0.35" (9mm) depth being cut at the top. There are 5 flat rectangular clips are may be, positioned equally around the helmet where the dome meets the skirt. (1 in the center, 2 on each side). Imperial Code Disks are positioned on both sides of the helmet skirt. There are 6 screw cover greeblies may be positioned equally around the bottom of the helmet skirt (3 on each side).
  9. Im working in the Army trooper now after rewriting big sections of the Sapper, Ill fix the green section.

  12. thats a lot like what I have. Mine are Lancer Tacticals, they are clear, but I can fix that.
  13. its late and my eyes are getting pretty bleary but one thing I did make note of. On the tactical torch, yanks know it as a flashlight, but everyone I work with has at least one of these on hand. For sake of consistency on a worldwide platform, a link or photo will help. https://www.rayallen.com/511-tactical-atac-l2-tactical-flashlight I need go to back through this again tomorrow when my eyes are fresh.
  14. heading to the new topic to check it out.
  15. Thats pretty much what ATST drivers use on their helmets. I found a printed file as well. Theres quire a few STL files out there from various sources.
  16. i cleaned up the characters left over from the server move to the original proposal, but I have not cleaned up any characters left over from inside of any of the quoated text.
  17. I have a few pairs of these around, they are not shaded/ dark lens, so I wouild need to fix that. http://www.lancertactical.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=80&product_id=3242
  18. they likely will not For the olive drab, talk to your GML first about using miiltry surplus coveralls. Not flight suits but the old fashioned coveralls....that does not mean that 30 year old vintage coveralls will match in color to cut up and use..SO..I bout the CDC olive drab coveralls. Very little modifiction needed! You can just see it at the neck, but what I did was take off the epaulets from the shoulders. These are Calif Dept of Corrections coveralls, and they have shoulder epualetes, and are very well made. It takes a while, and a sharp knife, but get those off, and fold one under and stitch it to make it into the collar closure. I put a snap on it through the original buttonhole. The pockets are already on the legs and chest. Its more expensive, but most of the work is already done for you.
  19. The key thing is, read what were discussing, compare it to the images, and see if we missed something, or that what we wrote made sense or if we need to change the wording. Never be intimidated to let us know if we miss something! We will take the discussion topic by topic and cover the whole thing head to toe. In all, this looks very straightforward and Im looking forward to getting this completed. well add the gunbelt to the discussion once we work our way down to the Officer belt section.
  20. Ive added the straps i made to the pack and I am working on the explosives. Slowly getting there. Helmet is being fabricated. With the interest in the tan army trooper we are also making a slighly smaller helmet for the Garrison ladies that want to do this.
  21. I just commented on another topic about the green paint flaking off. Im really thinking about getting a pair of cheap wellingtons and stripping the leather dye out and dying them green.
  22. Mine does the same on my ATAT gunner shoes. It just flakes right off. Im considering green leather dye for mine. Given that, how about stripping the boots down to base and applying a couple of coats of acrylic paint?
  23. Im on my phone at work. Ill look at it tonight.
  24. Please do I git the green Sportsmans GuideFrench gloves and they are GREEN
