Yay!! I was able to get a whole 2 cuts made......... Stupid Battlefront beta taking all my free time to work on this...... Plus I killed another heat gun I will make real progress tonight.

I might get to work on this tonight!!!! I have also finished my design for tube stripes. I am going to cut a set hopefully tonight as well, make sure that they are the correct size and my spacing is correct.

I found out that I will not be receiving my EP7 stormtrooper until after the movie is out. Meaning I have more time to work on this project

I will be using glossy on the buttons and painted areas on the helmet. But with matte black tube strips.

Check, will do! Other news. I have sorted everything out and will begin the process of building tomorrow night. I would start tonight but it's my first day of class this season and I can't miss that.... Some decisions have been made. I will use the same strapping system as a ANH TK, but with some small modifications. I will not attach the straps to the split rivets on the side, but use hidden snaps. I will also not have a visible snap on the upper right corner of the AB plate. I will also get a second set of under armor for this, so that I don't have to be worried if I left it with the sand trooper. I am not sure about the amount of red ABS that was given for the strips is for just the outside strips or if it is enough for the inside strips as well. I do not remember how much I used on my TK/TD when I made them...

It arrived Saturday!!! Of course I was not home this past weekend cause I was working on 3PO. We all know what a brown box looks like so I dont need to post that haha! Okay. I am going to get this going early next week. I am hoping to have this finished along with my RMQ and Swamp Scout(Yes it will be finished!!!) by the end of October- mid November. However, I am expecting a FO trooper at some point. When that arrives, I will drop all projects and focus on that. So that way I can have that done in time

Okay. I think I am going to quit playing around and just finish this thing. I wont have this upcoming weekend open, but maybe the following. I also have to start working on stuff in the afternoon after work now... To many projects that are now on a time frame for completion.

Other comment/question. Would me having green lenses hold up specialist approval?

Clean the inside of the faceplate plastic with some rubbing alcohol. There may be some mold release still on the plastic. DO NOT use acetone, it will melt the plastic. Normal rubbing alcohol only

I am stuck with making the decision on how to assemble the armor. I think at this time, I am leaning toward a clam shell method like my TD, but using hidden snaps and not using split rivets. I think this will provide the wear-ability that I am used to but give the more clean look on the outside. I also want to have the ability to use both black and red drop boxes. I may use a snap on them as well.

Monday looks like the day it will be shipped. I have to say that I am really excited to build another Stormtrooper type costume! I was able to snag a bunch of ears from someone off of whitearmor who builds helmets for people. He had 2 sets of ATA red ears. I am hoping I dont need to use them all, but if I do I have them. If not, when I am done the build, I may pass them along to others.

Funny. So i posted my last post 1 year to date from when I first e-mailed him Today I got a message back saying that the kit is next! Kinda super excited!

I might be able to get a few parts for one if you want. I sold my extra snowy parts to a local friend, but I think I can get a chest, back, and maybe a helmet pretty quick. Just need to get all the little detail parts still, belt part and the shoulder straps

I didnt see anything started on this yet, so I figured I would maybe get the ball rolling I dont have any pictures of it, but there is a toy of a black FO trooper with a red stripe. I have a very strong feeling that it will not be in the movie, cause it will be to "confusing" to have another Darth Vader running around.... Anyways, lets at least get the ball rolling

Slightly off topic, but a thought I just had. Has anyone tried painting their magma boots using latex house paint?
