  1. Lots of options in terms of armor. Some more accurate than others in terms of how sculpt matches the actual movie references. My suggestion is to paint the armor a satin/matte...personal preference. With that in mind, you don't necessarily need to get the armor pulled in black plastic...and in a few of these kits they are the 5 piece helmet build (like the screen helmets...2 dome pieces, 2 visor pieces, and front mask) which would require some work to cover seams and ultimately would require painting anyways. RS Props (UK based...I mostly see full commission builds from them) Chef's Creations (UK based...what I own) Studio Creations Faraway Creations Walt's Trooper Factory Kropserkel There may be others but those are the ones I'm familiar with. In your area of Australia there is also a bucket maker (Altmann...not sure if I've spelled that right)...nice helmet...a little bit bigger if you need a larger sized helmet. Soft goods...most of these suppliers also supply the soft goods or have someone they source their soft goods from. If you'd like to make your own flightsuit mod, vest, and bund...we have tutorials on those here in our forums. I'd suggest reaching out to @nanotek in your own garrison as I know he recently put together his own soft goods for his Shadow Scout build. Boots...also very do-able on your own (just some black marine vinyl...pins to stretch it...and a base boot which can be found at several retailers on the cheap...mine were from K-Mart. I've seen Wal-Mart boots used as well) but again many of the armor suppliers can provide boots too.
  2. Sorry to hear that. To clarify...you haven’t settled on a kit yet?
  3. Would it be possible for me to see where we are at as far as text draft on this piece? I've seen a few proposals...where has it landed @nanotek (at least for now)?
  4. from what I can tell there is no shin armor. you'd see it at the very bottom of the boot and the straps around the boot if it was there. zoom up close on the full body stock pic and you can see there's nothing there.
  5. Yea Im aware of the Blizzard adds. Theres a bit more to why they were added (which I can discuss with you via pm) and, unless the Battlefront video game is stretched as the reference, knowing what I know, Id say they should not have been added.
  6. Great info! Yes Korso (CRL would be named some generic type of trooper) is a viable option. It looks like the switch from a regular muddie to this heavy version would be new helmet, chest, and coat...lose the shins and respirator. Belt(s) are the big question. As far as adding it to the standard CRL...based on references I dont think that would be a possibilty This would have to be something specific to this trooper variant (much like the scout pistol is an option for only the Val style).
  7. In checking references one last time, noticed the aerator interior is listed as white. Primary comic reference shows red interior with black outline...however, the vocoder is done the same way in the comic art (more than likely to show texture and depth). Adding black as a Level 2 option for aerator interior.
  8. Technically we are way past the closing point on this but giving it a final bump for final opinions. CRL model pics are being finalized and prepped. Should be sending this off for publishing soon.
  9. @IcyTrooper I checked the wiki code for the Shadow Trooper pauldron text...it's a pre-loaded "blackpauldron" code.
  10. @IcyTrooper I wasn't necessarily saying it had to be black for Level 1. Just noting that's what the original said. I'd be ok with a dark gray and/or contrasting matte black for Level 1. Lines (black) can be ok for Level 1 as well. The look is achieved and I don't think a dark gray or matte black would deviate from that. A standard or light gray would though and I would make sure that was clear. Level 2...solid black should be good.
  11. Making marks for spelling/punctuation adjustment in red and some questions/things to check: Gray is acceptable color for helmet tears? Current CRL lists "solid black." Lines are acceptable in rear traps and tears? Current CRL lists "solid black." Please do a side-by-side check as well to confirm I didn't miss anything.
  12. Adjusted Shadow Stormtrooper CRL tonight for thighs and shins to read in Level 2: "Must be constructed using the butt joint cover strip method." Can adjust those 2 items to read the same. This matches the biceps and forearms wording. We should all do a spell, punctuation, and grammar check AND cross reference to the Shadow Stormtrooper CRL (side by side cross-check) for detailed wording alignment that may have been adjusted when it was published. Other than that...details seem good to me.
  13. Nice! Great Lakes Garrison...you should get in touch with @Fivezero. Yes I'd say the E-11 is big...maybe proportional to the trooper but I don't think it should be. Keep goin!
  14. Bu the way, @MahXPrime will we be able to have a suitable model to update the pics once this is ready?
  15. We would need the following for the main CRL: Full body front and back arms down (no weapons) I would also like to reshoot the flightsuit picture. Laid out more neatly (see Shadow Scout flightsuit pic). Both front and back. For the gallery we would need: Full body sides (left/right) Full body front/back/sides with TK belt on An up close shot of the telemetry unit That's all I see I think. The boots up there on the individual piece (not the main model) look like the soon-to-be acceptable Level 1 version. We would need to link/update the picture for the Engineer black boots (once updated) to the gallery as acceptable for the army trooper as well. Best most professional looking, clean shot you can muster...neutral background for easier cutout.
  16. We will pause here till @Blackwatch is able to catch up the "finalized" (not really finalized lol) text thread with what has been covered regarding the flightsuit, compad, and now this vest.
  17. Just copying this thought over here from the Army Trooper as well so it's posted here... Alright then...so shorter boot is now mandatory...still black. Any TK belt allowed as optional for Level 1. Specifically must not have buttons (ROTJ TK style) for Level 2 (though ANH sized drop down boxes are required...not ROTJ). Am I overthinking it? With the LMOs ratified...we simply need to finalize these bits and then get pictures.
  18. Ok...starting from the top...I did some strikethroughs and yellow for suggested cleanups. Points of concern in orange (I think lol). And finally: Do we need a line a bout the inward slope of the bottom edge of the helmet? Additionally the "gap" that should be created from the lens to the brow (the interior of that brow has a ridged detail similar to the Sith Trooper that should probably be a Level 2 requirement...may want to check Sith Trooper drafts to see how that was worded for consistency). The bottom cheek "circular parts" look to be tube-ish in shape extending/wrapping into the chin interior of the helmet. Some line there perhaps and potential for an L2 requirement there maybe?
  19. All clear from LMO and should have no issues with Underworld.
  20. Cool. We would not be able to push an official "Korso" here more than likely...being a disguise character BUT we could potentially create a generic "Heavy Gunner" (or some naming like that) Mudtrooper which would basically carry the same details.
  21. @TX-20113 Can we get some shots of the straps as well front/back?
